Something like this is bound to be a gift and it arrives is a plain black box made out of low grade cardboard. Not impressive. The product description is accurate and you get everything as described. The torch looks and feels very light and plasticky. You have to remember that there’s no gas in the torch, so you’ll have to fill that up before you use it. In use it works ok, but not sure I would use it a lot. Can’t say that I could tell the difference between the different flavoured chips that are supplied. Overall ok.
This had made for a very different social evenings fun. From the normal card/game playing or a raclette evening to a “creating your own flavoured cocktail”. We decided to buy a 2nd kit as there were 6 of us and it has proved to be great fun sampling each others creations.
Some of the flavours are not very discernible other than a hint of what it says on the can – which is still ok as it does “taste slightly different”. Others have quite a mild presence but again, not in a bad way.
Being quite different, it makes for a good talking point and an entertaining evening.
At the price point and the enjoyment created I believe this is definitely in the 5 star category.
