As others have said it was fiddly to assemble, but I doubt any of the other similar designs are any easier. The first half is fine, but there is a design flaw. There are long screws that pass through the bracket into the aluminium extrusions and hold everything really rigid. That means the first segment is pretty solid, but if you have the longer version you can’t screw them together. This makes it slightly wobbly.
Because of the wobble you can’t mark the drill holes using the porch. Instead, its a ruler and sprite level job. Once it’s on the wall, its very solid. So far its survived some bad weather. I had to add some frame sealant along the top.
This canopy is great. It was delivered and was put up in just over an hour. My son did it on his own but with two people it wouldn’t take as long. I have shelter over my back door which is great. I like how it is divided in the middle as the last one I had the panel came out in the wind but this one the panels are screwed in. The price was fantastic as it was on offer but I would have still bought it had the offer not been on.
I highly recommend this item.
My lady IV had to pull down hence I need another
Only criticism I have it’s tricky to line up when tacking on the wall…
Can take some abuse from the winds rain if secured properly
Easy to fit however we had planned to leave the film on it. Due to how it was packaged the sellotape on it broke the film so it had to be removed. Over all still happy with the product.
It’s light and cheap and you get what you pay for. I did not use the supplied bolts and opted for self tapping.
The moulding brackets could do with covers to finish them off.
Brilliant for keeping in the shelter when weather is wet over our front door ,strong as its a bit of a wind tunnel.has withstood all weather since we installed it but we used stronger bolts than supplied
This is a great canopy the only downfall is the bolts they use are cheap I would recommend getting better ones also this doesn’t come with instructions well mine didn’t would of given 5star if bolts where better and instructions where i
Nothing quite fitted at first and needed several small mods to get everything together. Also I sealed all edges because in the past water eventually seeps into the plastic panels leaving unsightly lines of water. The fixings are not set to cross 2 bricks so you are forced to drill brick rather than mortar. Also the back of the canopy does not fit quite flush to the wall so you will get water running down the wall and dripping if you don’t seal that as well.Once up it doe look great and do a great job.
I bought this thinking it was 2m long but my fault I didn’t read the description properly.
At 1m it is long enough to cover a standard door opening but only just.
Fitting it was easy and once it was assembled and fitted it is quite sturdy.
It is plastic but looks like aluminium, and generally pleased with my purchase.
I found it a bit fiddly to assemble. The sheets kept popping out of the centre I section that is meant to hold them together. However, once assembled the canopy gained remarkable strength and I am confident it can withstand wind and rain. Value for money.
Have givern 4 stars on all ratings as it was a pain to put together took me about an hour or so feels sturdy but will have to wait untill its up and the wind whips up, money wise again will wait to see how it performs if it was worth the money i hope so as for putting it up its going to take two of us will have to wait till my mate has got over his covid bout.hopefully in next couple of weeks. Right ok its now been 4 weeks we have finaly got it up, drilled out 10mm holes wich are large enough but the wall plugs that came with were not over brill we needed to wrap tape around them as all they did was to spin round when trying to tighten up so wrapped extra tape to make a tighter fit and was a lot better so it might be wise to make sure you have wall plugs the same length but a better quality these are pretty thin really but now its up and looks pretty good now just have to wait to see if ok when the wind whips up it does feel sturdy on the wall so hoping it performs as well as it feels and looks.
Good value for money.
Took two people to assemble it and to put it up.
Once it was assembled we made a template using the cardboard box it came in.
As it helped to mark out the area to be drilled , then we erected the canopy above the door.
It looks very nice above my front door.
I needed something to stop the water landing on my head from a drain bucket that is overflowing. This sorted that problem out…now to tackle the drain bucket four floors up
This item was quite easy to assemble a few little tricky bits here and there but overall straight forward. It is very sturdy and easy to install above the front door. On the first night we had strong winds so was a little worried but all was fine no problems. Great to open the front door To lock or unlock without getting wet now too.
