Bought these as they were a recognisable brand, instead of some random Chinese clone. They all worked, and seem fine for brightness and colour temperature (warm white). Only time will tell if they last as long as expected.
Far better focused warm bright light than the non branded ones I replaced, no apparent flicker and instant start up.
So it would appear that buying more expensive is the way to go, you get what you pay for.
I would purchase again.
I used to buy Chinese LEDs as they are slightly brighter. Lasted not even 3 years independent of producers. I assumed that this is how it is in general. These Philips LED are a long way more reliable and will probably outlast their promises.
Philips LED Classic Spot Light Bulb 6 Pack [Warm White 2700K – GU10] 50W, Non-Dimmable. for Home Indoor Lighting is an excellent quality set of spotlights which I am happy to recommend. I like the fact you can always depend on Philips as their products always deliver what is promised. Easy to fit and they immediately produce light the moment the switch is hit.
Happy to recommend it as they are extremely good value price-wise.
This set of 6 LED bulbs from Philips has been rather good. Its no-nonsense approach of being energy-saving bulbs that are non-dimmable works well. They switch on and off and that is it. What does set these bulbs apart is the warm hue that will illuminate your room with a nice warm glow without being glaring. Also, the bulb does flickeryet. So far so good.
Decent bulbs at a decent price.
I fitted some Philips branded GU10 bulbs in my previous home and they were still working around eight years later when I moved, so I trust the brand to supply good quality bulbs. I obviously cannot assess longevity of these bulbs immediately, but they appear to be as well made as my previous ones and therefore I have no reason to doubt these will last for any less time. I will update the review if anything untoward happens.
As it stands, these are warm white bulbs, which means that the light emitted is yellowish and thus ‘warm’, so these are best suited to places where you want to relax, such as a bedroom or lounge; I would choose a cool white bulb for somewhere like a kitchen where the space is used differently.
The bulbs come in a small cardboard box, protected by cardboard inserts that mean the packaging is fully recyclable.
