Really like this. It is light enough that you can take it out with you. Clips to a phone or laptop. I think the battery life could be better but it isn’t bad. Good price and great for content creation.
This is must have for everyone who loves to take selfies. I am more than happy with this small device. It is quite small and it makes it easy to take with me. Has clip, so no need anyscrews. Clip was not easy to use in the beginning, but I am getting used for it. Can use not only for phone, but zny device when uou need additional light – I was using for my laptop as well. Light has 5 colour modes. It is bright enough for making perfect photos. Rechargeable, battery lifr is good enough. Easy to use. Now this is my best friend when travelling. Happy to recommend i
I don’t often take selfies but was impressed with this light. It is easy to use, versatile and compact. Once I decide on the most flattering light mode, there will be no stopping taking selfies!
I am super happy with this super selfie light it comes with a case and attachments. Simply slide one into the light and clip it to your phone to start using it. Press the power button for three seconds to turn it on and then use the light setting to put that to low or bright light and use the other to change the light setting. This is literally the best light I’ve ever used for selfies. I run a business which is mostly pictures of me wearing stuff and this brightens up my photos so much. It’s super bright and can be changed to whateber you want. For the price you absolutely cannot go wrong eoth this. I highly reccomed everyone has one of these.
Product arrived in really nice packaging along with USB-A to USB-C cable for charging, nice quality carry on bag, clip and screw for camera mount. It has nice good quality finish. Buttons are bit stiff but not bad, it has nice button press feedback.
You have to press and hold power button for 2-3 second before light comes on. Pressing up and down changes the brightness there are 5 setting. Light has array of white and yellow LEDs, tone of light is achieved by turning ON/OFF different pattern of yellow and white LEDs, again there are 5 settings for this as well, you can select that by pressing left and right button, in total you can set light in 5×5 = 25 ways.
There are 4 small red LEDs on the top shows the charging status. I work from home sometimes and lighting in my room is bit uneven for video calls , I using this light with laptop camera and works fine for me.
Positive
– Good build quality.
– 25 possible settings.
– 2 degree of freedom in rotation (one axis is limited to 135 degree only)
– nice accessories
– for the price it is a good quality product
– good brightness
– Tested on full brightness (all white LEDs ON) gave me 2:05 hours, right on claim.
– Lightweight
Negative
– Mounting clip pressure feel tight, there soft rubber/silicon padding but I will be think twice to mount it on top of MacBook Air (I clip it on the table)
– Only 2 degrees of freedom for rotation (may be you don’t need)
– Not sure if those LED are good for eyes for prolonged use.
P.S. This note is for general awareness not specific or limited to this product, direct prolong exposure to bright LED/Laser could cause damage to retina. I am not sure if such product are tested for it. Please be mindful if you are using any similar product for prolong time.
This lamp is very flexible – there are both bright white and warm white LEDs and the intensity of both can be adjusted independently to get the required light colour. Once you have that setup the brightness can then be adjusted. I’ve used it on Zoom and Teams calls and colleagues have told me it’s an improvement on my normal home office lighting (above and behind, plus a desk lamp to the side).
Two options for setting up – 1) good strong clip which can sit on the top of my monitor easily 20 fitting for attaching to a camera tripod or similar.
Not sure of the battery size, but have been using it frequently over several days without any need to charge as yet.
A handle little light for macro photos and vlogging with five colour settings, and five different power levels.
This item comes with the light, a USB-A charge cable, clip to fit on smartphone/tablet/laptop, camera hotshoe adapter and a bag to store it all in.
The light is rechargeable from a USB supply. There is a USB-C connector on the light itself and I charged it with a 100w charger for speed. There are four red LEDs next to the USB-C connection to indicate the charge status, or when using the light they show the battery status.
On the back of the light is the power switch, brightness and colour controls. Changing colour switches in different LEDs and for the bluest or warmest tones only half of the LEDs illuminate.
The white plastic clip is designed to fit on a smartphone / laptop and has a clever cutout to fit around the camera. The clip allows you to tilt and swivel the light. Removing the clip takes some force. On the other end of the light is a metal tripod socket to fit the camera cold shoe adapter in to so you can put the light on top of your DSLR or mirrorless camera.
The light is bight, but don’t expect something this small to illuminate a distant subject, a few feet away is its best working distance.
All in a good little light, something to have in my camera bag as it would also double as a torch when searching for kit in my bag at night.
I am so impressed by this light for many reasons. Now, I am not a tech buff which means I want a light that is easy to use, has a wide range of adjustment in terms of brightness and tones and is simple to use. And this light ticks those boxes.
It’s a compact size and lightweight with very simple to use buttons to turn it on/off, change the brightness and choose the colour tone settings of which there are 5 as well as 5 brightness settings. It packs in a lot of LEDs which enables it to give out a really good amount of light and at the highest setting, it really is quite bright. If you wanted to take a photo of something in total darkness then this light can illuminate the subject very well. For a zoom/FaceTime call, you can choose a lower brightness setting and it will light your face and surrounding area very nicely. In fact, when I used it for a FaceTime call, I chose brightness setting 2 and the “Warm Light” setting which was perfect. It gave a very good result.
When I used it to take some product photos I noticed that it didn’t cause shadows on or around the product like some other lights do that I use. This is a huge plus point.
With the light, there is a USB charging cable, a spring loaded clamp fitting as well as the standard size screw mount that fits all standard tripod mounting plates.
What I would say about the spring loaded clamp is that it has a very strong grip. You certainly wouldn’t want let this snap closed on your fingers and I would urge care when using this where the clap touches your phone, tablet computer screen. Make sure it doesn’t snap shut on against your screen.
With that said, the part of the clamp which the light attaches offers 360 degrees of rotation as well as 90 degrees forward and backwards so you can easily adjust the angle of the light to exactly how you need it. Like others have mentioned, I found that sliding the attachment part of the clamp into the light is quite tight and, likewise when removing it. It’s a tight fit so be careful.
At the time of ordering the light, it was priced at 23.99 and I think that represents good value for money.
On the whole, yes, I am very happy with this light. It does a great job and it’s compact, lightweight and versatile which is why I’m giving it 5-stars.
This is a great little light that can attach to your phone or laptop. It comes with a clip that has soft jaws so I was happy to attach it safely to my laptop screen without scratching. If you don’t want to use the clip it also has a tripod connection and a camera mount. There’s also a nice soft bag included.
The light itself is charged by USB C and has 5 different colour temperatures and a range of brightnesses so you can get exactly the right lightning effect for you. The light is bright but does not cover a large area so it really is best used for video calls.
In real terms this is a small but adequate LED light for use on a smartphone, tablet, notebook, laptop etc as the light output is compatible with these types of devices, size for size and not to supply flood lighting for a football stadium. It has a built-in 2000mAh rechargeable battery that powers the 80 LEDs, ranging in 5 colours going though into pure white light and once again, size for size, does the job. It comes with decent instructions, a charging lead, a mount for use as a camera cold shoe fitting (there is a inch thread in the light base), a flexible clip ‘gripper’ type fitting (with rubber protective pads inside it) that slides in for use on the above quoted devices – see photos – plus a draw-string carry/storage bag. The light output is controlled by buttons (cursor style) on the rear of the unit that are really easy to navigate and in use gives a decent account of itself: I am using it as a small – but adequate – ‘fill in’ light on my camcorder/DSLR camera as required and it does do a decent job. So far it seems to have a decent battery life but it depends on how you use it setting-wise as on full power it obviously won’t be long lasting of course, but used in a sensible manner, its an handy asset. As a small but affordable and compact light, it does the job.
Decent budget light that gets the job done very effectively.
It’s not the best light box and there are cheaper ones on the market but in its price range it’s one of the better ones I’ve tried.
You get what you pay for and at this price I think it’s pretty good for attaching to a budget camera, it’s ideal for a bit of photography on your smartphone or a webcam.
5 colour temperatures, 5 brightness levels and included is a 360 degree rotatable clamp and cold shoe mount.
I’ve fitted this to my vintage Polaroid camera for more versatility and I’m impressed with the results.
I like the easy to operate with one hand controls located on the back, this makes it ideal for selfies if that’s your thing.
Great fun little item that can inspire your creativity and get you that better image.
I have to take part in a lot of video calls on Microsoft Teams. My home office has a single ceiling mounted light which is above and slightly behind me leaving my face in shadow. This light light provides fairly even illumination without being dazzling.
It has five different colour modes to make the lighting warmer or cooler — I prefer the cooler light during the day but if I make WhatsApp video calls in the evening I prefer the warmer light.
Buttons on the back control the brightness, colour and on/off.
It’s quite compact 1110x70x17mm and quite leight weight
It’s supplied with a spring clip for phones but it seems a bit strong and I’d be concerned about it damaging the phone’s screen. There’s a standard tripod screw on one end of the unit and a tripod screw so it could be fixed onto anything with a suitable sized hole for the screw to pass through. This has a bracket that should fit a camera flash shoe although I don’t have a suitable camera to test it. There’s also a small drawstring back to protect the lamp when travelling.
Alternatively it should fit into most mobile phone holders
As it’s quite light and bright it might also be useful as a general purpose light for camping or similar.
Great clip on phone light, with 80 built-in high-quality LEDs. It gives you a nice wide range of 5 colour settings, with five levels of brightness adjustments so it is great to use in most natural light. I tend to mainly use the warm light setting, this is great for most of the things I need it for day or night.
I find the detachable clamping clip, really easy to use and holds on my phone with a great grip. Once clamped onto the phone you can rotate the light 360 horizontally and 135vertically, so the light covers a big area without having to move my phone. I mainly use it on my phone and laptop, but there are so many other uses it can be used for.
It’s a great compact size at only 12.1cm x 11.6cm x 3.9cm, it’s lightweight and slim design allows easy storage or simply pop it in your pocket.
It as a great built-in 2000mAh battery, so no messing with cables when using it out and about. Charging is easy and straight forward, just use the suppplied cable. Plug into the light Type-C socket and the other USB end into either computer, car charger or power bank Ect….. Just note if using a walkk charger, dont go over a 5V1A charger.
Lately I have also found it good for power cuts, just keep it on a low light setting to get plenty of hours from it.
PLEASE NOTE: The LED light is not Water Resistant, so just be careful that it does not get too wet.
Overall, it is a fantastic LED light bank with plenty of uses. I would recommend thei LED light 🙂
(23.99 at the time of review)
This is an extremely useful light. It produces a wide diffuse beam that can be set at five different colour temperatures from cold-white (6500K) to warm-white (3000K) and five brightness levels. The CRI (Colour Rendering Index) is very impressive at >90.
The light has a strong clip that attaches to the screen of a phone or tablet and alternatively a 1/4″ tripod mount can be used, either with the included flash-shoe adapter, or directly on a the head of a tripod. The clip is very strong and I would caution against letting it snap shut on the surface of a screen without exercising control over the speed it closes.
This light is designed to illuminate the small area immediately in front of it – it is not a video flood light, or replacement for a camera flash. That said it did quite a good job of lighting our Terracotta Warrior lurking in a dark corner of the yard, as can be seen in my before and after pictures, taken on an iPhone at a distance of about five feet.
For FaceTime, in an otherwise totally dark room, it was plenty bright enough at its minimum setting. In fact I would have liked it even dimmer and on the brighter settings it was uncomfortable. Skin tones were best brought out with the middle setting of colour temperature, where both groups of LEDs are evenly lit.
I found the clip was difficult to push fully into the light and even more difficult to remove – care is needed when doing this to avoid damage.
In addition to the clip and camera mount, the light comes with a soft bag to protect it from damage and USB charging lead. The bag is just too small to hold the lamp with the clip connected which is a shame, but all the bits and pieces easily fit into it when separated.
This lamp is going to be very useful for FaceTimes, photos and videos. I am looking forward to using it.
I ordered this light as an alternative to a big ring light that I was using that was very unwieldy and had to be plugged in. This compact light is much more portable and gives greater flexibility. I love the clip and it fits nicely on my phone and it sturdy enough not to wobble when I take the pic. The range of colour shades is very broad and helps to get the right effect. Really impressed!
This is a really useful light for taking photos, videos, selfies and for use during conference calls. It’s very simple to use via the button on the back, a long press to turn/off then there are 2 buttons to the left/right of this adjust the brightness and 2 above/below to adjust the colour from brightest white through 5 levels to warmest white. The white clip attaches it easily to a ‘phone, laptop or tablet and can be rotated left/right and pivoted up/down, allowing the light to shine from just about any angle.
I often find it difficult to obtain enough brightness when taking a photo indoors, usually of objects – I’ve even improvised with a torch, and am limited to certain locations in the home with sufficient ceiling lighting available – so this is a real help in adding extra light to show the subject up clearly. I love that the warmth is adjustable, as I’m not generally keen on bright white light, but realise that for some situations it does show features more clearly. The light is fairly light-weight, although I find it a little heavy on my ‘phone, however not too heavy, just a difference for me to get used to. I’ve tried with selfies, much as I dislike taking them, it’s definitely easier to take one that I’m happier with when using the light than with my ‘phone alone. It’s easy to charge via the cable provided and a USB-A port/plug, with a clear indicator to show the charge level, although if using the black screw clip you have to loosen it a little to view all 4 charging lights. I think the light could also double-up as a general clip light, for reading, brightness etc.
I didn’t know what to expect, having never used this type of light before, but am impressed with this one – its effectiveness, ease of use, appearance, quality and adaptability, hence 5 stars.
I think this is an extremely versatile light. Although I definitely won’t be using it for selfies, it’s ideal for that purpose. I rather enjoy macro photography and this light is perfect for illuminating small objects up close. It’s not the equivalent of a flash light for a DSLR camera, however, for me it’s affordable and means I can take pictures when the light levels are not good.
I have a similar clip on light and what has surprised me, is that although according to the description, this light can produce 6600K and my other 9900K, this is so much brighter. Perhaps it due to the number of LEDs contained within. It’s so bright that it is dazzling unless you choose to lower the temperature or turn the brightness down. It could be quite harsh perhaps, so diffusing it with a piece of tissue paper may help.
There are two clips, one to connect to a digital camera, and a standard clip for your phone, or laptop etc. The clamp is strong and extremely adjustable. The light can be bent at any angle and holds in place. My only issue with it is that the clip won’t slide in fully to the slot on the light. It appears to be well designed overall though the construction in places could be better. It feels very plasticky. However, that doesn’t detract from the fact that it works, and it works well.
It’s simple to use via the control panel on the back. Left and right buttons change the light from warm to cool and vice versa. Top and bottom increase and decrease the brightness. Hold the central button for a couple of seconds to turn off and on. That’s it. All you need.
The light box itself is compact and pocket size at around 11cm x 7cm x 2cm. There is also a draw string bag included to keep it together with the clips and USB C charging cable, which I found handy.
It has many uses as you have ideas to use it for, as long as you have something to clip it to. It has a good battery capacity so won’t run down too quickly either. It’s a decent, useful light and I’m happy with it.
This is a very low cost light box to attach to your phone or use with your webcam — you get what you pay for which makes it OK.
You can choose between cool or warm white which is good at this price point, however the buttons on the back and construction quality does feel very poor — I wouldn’t want to drop this.
There is little diffusion to the light, so when it’s turned up bright, it can look quite harsh and show up even the smallest of shadows — putting a low gsm, thin piece of white paper in front of it did fix it well enough though.
The clip is also quite large, usually phone clips are smaller so it can fit around the camera bump easier.
Whilst this is at the budget end for camera lights you could definitely do worse if you are looking to buy your first light but aren’t ready to drop top dollar for pro equipment.
You would struggle to light a YouTube video of any length with this but as a filler light for shorts and TikTok’s it get the job done.
Out of the box it come with a variety of mounting options, a phone clamp which has a strong spring a a rubberised tilting pad for the glass side of your phone.
I personally never use anything that will clamp onto the phone screen as I’m concerned that it may cause damage but fortunately this does come with other mounting options if you have additional equipment, in my case I use a camera cage and a cold shoe mount is provided to allow mounting to this., this also allows me to mount it on one of my gimbals for vlogging
On the opposite side of the panel is a 1/4 thread to allow for mounting on tripods and the like.
The panel doesn’t throw out masses of light, it is plenty bright enough for desk use, selfies and conference calls, but if you were hoping this could substitute for on camera flash you will be disappointed unless your subject is very close, possibly useful for macro photography if you diffuse the light a little, tissue paper placed over the legs can help with this.
In summary, a reasonably versatile panel for someone new to lighting and it gets five stars for that, not however up to anything too demanding where lighting is concerned.
