Nice unit – well balanced and intuitive to use. Pricey considering it doesn’t come with a battery – fortunately I have the Ryobi 18v nailer so can use the same battery. Used it on a couple of jobs so far and found it far easier than my traditional hand held router.

have wanted the Dewalt router for a little while as fed up of using my cheap 45 electric one, but could not justify paying out for the dewalt so got this ryobi, and i must say i am very impressed with the power of this little tool, as you can see if the pic above i had no problems routing out 12mm mdf also does a nice job of rounding off corners of solid oak,

Downside is there is no dust extraction so ended up holding the hover close to get the dust.
Great tool and gets the job done.

5.0 out of 5 stars could not justify Dewalt so bought Ryobi instead

Added to a few Ryobi tools, so I have battery and chargers. First time trying to use to create chopping boards, etc, and this is a great tool. easy to use, bought a set of bits from Amazon as well (not Ryobi) ,and all is going well. The hoover attachment that I think it might come with in the US isn’t included (can be bought separately) would be useful (this think loves a mess), but it is easy to use and pick up how to start doing this properly. Uses a 5Ah battery with me, I think it might need a 4Ah battery as a minimum.

I’ve got a lot of ryobi 18v kit. Not because I am a big fan just because with 2 4ah batteries already they offer massive value over other brands and all the stuff tends to be good enough if you know how to use it. There also appears to be a very full range of tools.

This trim router has no dust extraction but is exceptionally useful to have for flush trims, roundovers and chambers. It could do with better ergonomics too but I’m still very happy with the purchase (made in black Friday sale)
