I was a bit worried about buying a budget phone. I previously had the Samsung galaxy s20+ and was satisfied enough with it. After smashing the curved screen it was more cost effective buying this phone.
The battery life is SO much better. I charge my phone once a day. I constantly use it to stream videos and music too. The camera I am so impressed with. I’ve seen a huge difference in my photos. Sometimes they can look pretty dull but using the warm samsung filter it instantly fixes that.
I’ve had no lagging, everything runs and opens smoothly without any issues.
It’s comfortable to hold, easy to use and took 30 minutes to transfer everything from my previous phone over.
I wanted a phone with Bluetooth and WiFi so I can use various devices and I.P. phone too. But I had to struggle to find what I wanted because the amazon algorithm was determined to not show me what I wanted.
Anyway, this phone has everything I need. It’s an excellent phone. The Bluetooth and WiFi signals are much stronger than my previous phone. The battery lasts two days between charges.
Pros: The price, great for what it offers. Good memory and decent RAM. Good sound, video and display quality. Phone looks great as well. Comes with a C to C fast charging/data cable (not a USB TO C although these will still work as expected), will be buying the adapter for the C to C for the super fast charging opion. Only took about 30 or so minutes to transfer everything from my old A50 via the C to C cable provided. Really good battery options, you can set it to only charge to 80% max, which can be a game changer for the life of your battery as it will not over charge even if left plugged in, or just keep it as it comes at the 100% charge, obviously charge time depends on what your using to charge it. Has some other really cool features you can use or set via setting, I particularly like the one hand option where the screen can shrink by double tapping the center button making it a lot easier to handle/manage the phone.
Cons: Biggest ones for me were the fingerprint sensor, its useless and never recognised either of the two I added, and why put it at the side as this has absolutely no benefits, it has good face recognition but I always disable the camera on my phones when not using it (via developer options, YouTube how to do this as its a great option to have and easy to turn of and on via the pull down menu) for security reasons, makes it impossible to hack your camera and other functions like tracking. The screen sensor can be a bit hit or miss (was much better on my old A50). Messenges, now this REALLY p1$$ed me off, it tries to FORCE you to use Google messages & will not let you pick your normal samsung message app even though it shows this option, God knows why as their a terrible company for harvesting every piece of info they can about you so why the hell would I give then this type of access to my txt. You can avoid this but it was a pain as you need to go into settings and disable the app that way. Also this does not come with the Always On Display Option (AOD) for your clock, this means when the phone is locked all it shows is a blank screen and you can’t tap/double tap the screen to bring up the display screen, you need to press the side button, this seems stupid as I like to have the time showing on my screen, especially at night in bed, again you can get round this by downloading an AOD App from the play store, this seemes stupid of Samsung to remove this basic and expected feature from the phone.
All in all it is a great phone and well worth the money once you get past/round these stupid features.
You will be hard pressed to get anything better for the price
It is an upgrade from my last phone so I know how it works, I needed more storage I’m pleased with it but I have to charge it every day didn’t have to do that with my last one
Purchased as a gift for someone who was still using old-style flip phone they find the A15 very easy to use and now cannot be parted from it. Just the ticket. But why, Samsung Seller, does the price vary so much?
