Got these as backups as my son and I have recently started wearing clip-in shoes with our mountain bikes. The cleats look quite nice with a clean finish and color…not that it will last long or that you’ll see it much after they get some use. Still, nice to have a good quality backup pair for a reasonable price.

I have rode with these cleats for about 500+ miles in them with my gravel bike. Since my old cleats that came with my pedals started to ship away and get worn out, I put these on in replace.

    Metal Material:
The hardened metal is very durable. I’ve ridden many outdoor trails with these and walked with these cleats with just minor scuffs on the metal. So far nothing has eroded or chipped away with these cleats.

    Installation:
Very easy installation which only requires an allen key.

    High quality parts:
The bolts and washer guards are made with hardened and high quality metal that lasts and resists stripping.

These are almost exact replicas of Shimano SM-SH51 SPD cleats; they are two-hole cleats that fit Shimano MTB pedals and many Spin bikes. They come with screws and mounting plates, and install easily (make sure to put a dab of grease on the screws so you can remove the cleats when they need replacement!). The product listing claims 4 degrees of float, which I can’t verify but they feel like they have about the same movement as genuine Shimano SPDs. They engage with and release from the pedal like they should. These are a reasonable low-price alternative to the name brand product, it just feels like the plating on the mounting plates is not very durable.

The cleats are good quality. The SPD style works in all my bike shoes. I have used them several times in my mountain bike shoes and they are holding up and working fine. They are good cleats and work well.

I installed them on my new winter gravel cycling shoes and with the salt on the roads and sidewalks they got a bit rusty in the first week. Other than that, they have been staying put and not a ton of wear on the screw holes.

My photos are taken side by side with an original cleat that came with my Shimano pedals. You can appreciate that they’re near identical in appearance, and dimensions. The metal is not as refined, which means they’re likely crafted from a lesser alloy, meaning eventually, they’ll be at least slightly more prone to rust, but possibly not wear. They fit perfectly, and unless something bizarre occurs when I mount them, I anticipate they’ll function extremely similarly. Though I don’t need them yet, I’ll update this review if I do experience any surprises. These cost slightly less than the genuine Shimano cleat, but don’t stray as far from the design as other, cheaper versions.

Nice cleats for my spin shoes. They are heavy duty but also rough and not as refined as Shimano which I will continue to use for real mountain biking. These are ok for spin class.

I already have a pair of SPD multidirectional release cleats, and I thought it was time to check out the standard release cleats. I am very impressed with the construction and quality of these cleats, which work perfectly with my Shimano pedals, releasing as expected and staying firmly attached as needed. This set includes screws, screw plates, and cleats. All you need is an Allen wrench and you’re good to go. The metal alloy seems to be of excellent quality and durable. The cleats are machined beautifully.

These cleats fit very securely, and hold firm in my Shimano XTR pedals. There is negligible play. I didn’t realize how “iffy” my old cleats were until I replaced them with these.

These are nicely crafted and finished (not that anyone is going to see them). I am skeptical of the titanium content claim- at any rate, weigh (and are priced at introduction) about the same as Shimano.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat it is: Gunmetal gray plated steel SPD SM-SH51 Shimano-compatible cleats with black steel hex screws and black steel plates. 2 cleats, 2 plates, 4 screws.

Why I like it: First, the ad is misleading. These are not titanium. They are titanium color coated steel. I knew that going in, as titanium cleats are much more expensive. They are fully compatible SPD SM-SH51 style cleats. They engage and disengage as SH51 cleats should (side pivot) should, provide a comparable range of lateral float, and mount on shoes with standard 2 bolt alignment. The back of the cleats have grip teeth to hold them in place in the soles. These differ from SPD 56 style cleats, which release in a much different manner. I prefer these 51 style cleats, as they don’t accidentally release under heavy sprinting or big punchy climbs—only when pivoting the ankle side to side. I would have preferred stainless hex screws and plates, as the coated screws will evenly chip and corrode. These work with my Shimano A530 dual sided SPD pedals, as well as my other mountain SPD compatible pedals. Overall, an excellent SPD cleat!

    Good SPD SM-SH51 compatible cleats

The first time I got shimano bike shoes and cleats, I don’t think I buckled them in right – so they got stuck on the bike (very embarrassing) one lost a screw and I haven’t been able to use them since! Was sitting on the rei $25 replacement and found these. Fit perfec
