I do recommend these for your baking needs
I bought these to replace the last ones I had by Tala as mine were quite a few years old.
I find these the best thing for using when baking blind.
Recently bought these beads to enable me to be able to blind bake, the bottom lay of som thing like a quiche. Having seen many TV chefs using them thought it about time I gave them a go. There’s not really a lot more one can say about them, other than they do what there supposed to do and keep the botton layer formed whilst baking Neil H.
These baking beans seem to do the job perfectly well enough. I have scored a 4 as. The instructions really should suggest that you wash them before first use.
Very good value for money though.
I managed to do 3 medium pies (around 20cm) with one tub of these.
The beans work as intended though a couple had fragmented and split in the tub so I was able to pick these out when washing them first time round to make sure there weren’t any sharp ceramic edges. Having used them a couple of times now the others remain intact and seem quite durable.
