Enfant des annes 90, j’ai grandi avec les Tortues et les beat them all sur Megadrive et NES, alors quel plaisir de pouvoir retrouver une licence que j’adore et un style de jeu fun et sans prise de tte.
J’ai principalement jou en ligne avec 2 amis (le jeu est jouable jusqu’ 6) et nous avons pass plusieurs soires pour terminer la campagne, essayer de complter les dfis et enfin se frotter au mode survie. Le jeu est fluide, le systme de combat est priori assez simple a premire vue mais difficile a matriser parfaitement. Chaque personnage a son style de combat qui lui est propre ce qui permet de ne pas s’ennuyer. La mcanique de progression offre des rcompenses pour le personnage choisi et permet de gagner des coups spciaux supplmentaires, des vies en plus et de dbloquer des nouveaux costumes.
Bref, le jeu est sympa surtout a plusieurs, je recommande.
Dernier point, la difficult du jeu peut tre adapt permettant de jouer simplement avec des enfants mais galement de try-hard s’il vous en prends l’envie.
Amazing game, I loved playing the super nes one with my brother as a kid, so it was great being able to share that experience again with him and my nephews now! It’s a lot of fun, especially with 4 players on the same screen ! I would definitely recommend it! The games itself doesn’t take very long to finish, but you can play if a few times with friends before you get bored.
Love this game, made to feel like the old TMNT games. Had great fun playing it with the kids and by myself. Any TMNT needs this game, it is out for all consoles.
Great game for a family to play together. Bit of retro fun for Dad and/or Mum and lots of fun action for the kids. Its button bashing madness when 4 are playing together.
If you loved old school scrolling beat-em-ups then this is a no-brainer purchase on any platform. That it is also a gorgeous use of the 80s Turtles cartoon licence is just an added bonus on top of it. Bringing back much of the original (surviving) voice cast is a dedicated move too, although it must be said those teenage heroes do now sound like they ought to be collecting their pensions. Kind of adds to the cheeky fun of it all though!
Great action, plenty of humour, a whole legion of familiar characters for Turtles fans of all ages, and a generous difficulty scaling so even newbies won’t be held back.
The soundtrack is a particular highlight. Tee Lopez’s ability to recreate the vibe and ambience of the early 90s was already well demonstrated on the equally excellent Sonic Mania game a few years back. Here he does it again with a feel that catapults right you back to 1992. For a GenXer like myself, it’s nostalgia magic.
My main reservation would be price. It is an Indie game and quite short too for anyone not determined to 100% all the challenges. I’d not pay much over 25 for it at this point. The PC version is currently available for about 20 (xmas ’23) so take that into account when buying for the consoles.
