I wasn’t expecting this conference camera system to be quite so big. But then you are getting what you pay for. This is quite a machine. Really good for regular business meetings if they are over zoom and in person. Huge remote that you can save positions for the camera. Lots of settings and features. I liked the bluetooth speaker that is rechargeable.

This Video conferencing system arrives in a brown cardboard box with line drawings of the product on the outside & measuring approx 33cm x 21cm x 21.5cm.

The contents of the box are well packed in foam cutouts so they are protected in transit.
Inside the camera is inside a plastic bag, as is the speaker.

You can feel the build quality as you unpack it, with all parts feeling well engineered & built to last.
The camera has a footprint of 17cm x 17cm (but is a hexagonal shape) & is approx 20cm high max.
It has a weighty base & 4 rubber feet so it won’t damage your surfaces.

There is a wall mount included in the box for the camera & it can be fixed level or tilted up to 15 degrees, either right way up or upside down.
Camera base is screwed to the mount so it won’t be going anywhere & would make it hard to remove if that is a concern.
It is possible to get a ceiling mount or a tripod bracket for this camera instead, but they are available to purchase separately from the manufacturer.

The speaker phone has an approx diameter of 16 cm & a low profile at just under 4cm high, so it can easily be stored in a drawer or cupboard if not in full time use.
It picks up sound from all around it very well even with some background noise.

The instructions for the speaker phone are in a separate manual to that of the camera & remote control, so you can keep the manual with the device in each case.

The remote control is a larger size one, more like one for a tv than the usual teeny type you get with so many devices nowadays, so it’s comfortable to hold with clearly labelled buttons on it.
You need 2 x AA batteries to operate the remote (not included) & it’s worth spending some time familiarising yourself with it’s operation before trying a first professional outing as it has a bit of a learning curve to familiarise yourself with it’s functions & get the best out of your camera.

In operation, this is easy to use, with sharp images, a smooth pan/tilt & clear audio.
Has played well with Zoom, Teams, FacebookLive & Skype (haven’t tried the others).

This is not likely to be attractive to most people, but for businesses who want fuss free, decent quality, reliable equipment for group calls that not only looks, but functions as expected, then this is actually decent value.

It comes with a 3 year manufacturers warranty including repairs (no mention of who would pay the postage however or how much that might be).

    Well worth considering.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIn a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ The image quality from this is great, particularly if the subject is well-lit. Really clear (for 1080p). This is especially noticeable when zooming in – having a 10x optical zoom means the image is really clear even when zoomed quite far in.
+ Lots of manual control over features. For example, exposure, F-stop and focal length are all adjustable from the remote.
+ The PTZ aspects are extremely simple to use and you can easily select a preset zoom, direction and tilt level just by pressing the appropriate number on the remote. For example, if you were using this in a conference room, you could have one preset showing a wide angle of the room, one showing a wide angle of the participants and if one person was presenting up front, another angle to show them close up featuring their presentation. Then anyone teleconferencing in would see the presenter in focus when they were talking, the wide angle of the participants to show when a question or point was being made from the room and a wide angle of the entire room at breaks or downtime. This really gives the remote participants a much better opportunity to feel better connected with the room.

    Things I didn’t like:

    – The included Bluetooth mic is not great at all. The audio quality sounds like an old analogue phone call. Much better to get the version without the mic and spend the money on a better mic – I’m not convinced Bluetooth mics are that good, to be honest.
    – The included 1/4″ tripod screw-hole felt too small – I couldn’t get any of my tripods more than a couple of mm in.

    Do I recommend it?

Yes, if the use case sounds like what you need, it works very well.

A really impressive bit of kit!

You get the heavy duty camera that does all the usual features, tracking and zooming in or out etc as well as the bluetooth speaker / microphone which makes such a difference if you are taking part in a hybrid meeting as it allows you to properly hear what is being said around the room if you have remoted in!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a high quality camera and conference speaker, the item is made very well. Everything you need is included. You get a power brick , the camera will operate without it , but you won’t be able to move it.
There is a USB B to A for connecting the camera to your computer to use with conference software such as Zoom, OBS or even FaceTime. Also included is a USB C to A adapter , a Bluetooth dongle if you need it, USB C charge lead for the speaker , you will supply the power plug for this, we all have them. There is a remote that required two AAA batteries and lastly a bracket and screws to mount it on a wall.
In use the camera is excellent, I attached it to a mini 14 inch portable monitor via its HDMI , but you could use a TV and you can simply attach it to your computer if you want to use software conferencing via USB. My Mac found it straight away. On the back of the camera there is also the power port , USB B to attach to your computer, and some other plug protocols that seem to be for joysticks and control hardware. I’m not familiar with those.
If you press the menu button there are myriad options for getting the picture how you want it, note where the language option is though , because if you press reset like I did , it will reset the language to Chinese as well.
As said you need to have the power brick connected to be able to move the camera with the remote. The movement is excellent and very quite too, lovely and smooth. You can zoom at different speeds and it slows the speed of panning when you are zoomed in for more control, very nice. You also get three speeds of panning , these can be chosen on the remote or via the menu.
The camera handled light very well , correcting focus and colours, as said there are plenty of options to get the image great. You get 720 and 1080p at various frame rates , 30, 50 or 60. The image is clear , it may not rival a movie camera , but for a web camera it is excellent, would have liked to have seen 4k option though for larger screens. There are buttons to mirror the view or flip it if mounted upside down , most things can be done directly with the remote.
One of my favourite feature are presets , of which you get ten. Just press preset first then a number , and it will remember the cameras placement. This gives you the ability to quickly go to any part of the room by pressing one of ten buttons. Perfect if you regularly position at a white board or a particular member in the conference. It’s all very intuitive and the instructions are clear to read in the manual.
The speaker can be used wired or over Bluetooth , it connected to my Mac very quickly. The speaker has a USB C charge port and a headphone jack that can also be a line out to bigger speakers if desired.
On the speaker you have two options to mute. One is a big mic button , I’m assuming this will work fine in conferencing software , but it didn’t work in FaceTime , but thankfully there is a second option to mute by pressing the power button quickly once. Both methods will turn the indicator on the top red. There is a phone button for making a call , in FaceTime it dialled the last person , but also opens the Music app , with other software open and the focus window , like Zoom, I’m sure it will make more sense.
You have volume up and down , again the indicator on top lights up segments to show level. The last button is for connecting and disconnecting Bluetooth. The speaker in use is clear , it did distort a bit at max volume but it was good enough.
Overall this is a very nice system with good instructions , everything you need , looks very smart and is well built , it has a long warranty too. At just over three hundred pounds it seems fair given that just small webcams that don’t move can cost that at the higher end. I would have liked to have seen a 4k option at this price however for bigger screens. I am specifically impressed by the movement of the camera and the auto focus and the fact you can do most things from the remote is great. Setup is also simple for a basic setup , although you can get deeper with a controller etc.
    Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars High quality, easy to use , pretty much silent with ten presets and a clear conference speake

These are a huge upgrade from our previous set-up and transmit high quality image and audio even across the world and to a relatively large audience. The cameras are easy to adjust and connect and all in all they’re surprisingly good for a brand we’d never heard of before.

Excellent quality HDMI PTZ Camera from Tongveo made from very good materials and is built to last.

I have to admit Tongveo is not a brand I have heard of before until I came across this camera and I have to say I am very impressed and will definitely be looking at what other products they do.

I have been using this for over two months at home on a Mac for work conference calls using Zoom, Teams & Skype and also did a live streaming video using (OBS) and so far I have had no issues it works straight out of the box which is great.

The picture and sound quality is excellent I have no complaints about that at all, even when you use the 20x zoom there is no distortion in the picture quality or lagging. The camera is 1080p I would have like it to have had the ability of 4K BUT that is just me wanting more and 1080p is more than good enough for my needs.

The remote control is also excellent the buttons are very responsive and no delays when you move the camera around it is quick which is exactly what you want

Overall I am very happy with the conference camera and I would definitely recommend it.

This has been excellent for online meetings at work.
Fusty it’s quite a large camera, perfect for our meeting room. It comes with a heavy metal bracket so that it can be wall or ceiling mounted.
To get started you simply need to unpackaged everything, find 2 AAA batteries for the remote, plug in the msins cable, I connected the camera to my computer using the supplied USB A to B cable and it was recognised by my PC straight away.
It performs a fancy routine when you first turn it on, as can be seen in my video.

The picture quality is crystal clear, although colours can seem a little washed out, but I’ve found this is due to the fluorescent lighting in our office space.
The zoom is phenomenal, I can read small text on our notice board from a distance of 10 meters!
The ability to move the camera via the remote has also been very useful, for those unaware PTZ means Pan, Tilt, Zoom.
The movement is very smooth and easily controlled.

So I think this is an excellent product for the money…. you can spend big bucks on a camera like this, it is actually very reasonably priced for its performance.
Especially if you tick the box for the discount voucher currently available .

I hope you find my review helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good picture quality & simple to use

This camera arrived well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. Inside, the camera is held in dense, moulded foam to protect it in transit.

    The box contains:

    * The camera itself.
    * Remote control.
    * Sturdy steel wall/ceiling mounting bracket (with screws and plugs).
    * 3m USB-A to USB-B cable.
    * 12V 2A power supply.
    * Instructions.

The remote control needs 2 ‘AAA’ batteries and these aren’t supplied. The cable from the mains plug (UK 3 pin) to the PSU is 140cm long and the PSU to barrel plug cable is 120cm.

The camera is quite large and heavy. I’ve attached a couple of pictures of it next to a standard 330ml drink can for scale. The camera functions (PTZ, focus, preset positions etc.) are all controlled from the remote control. Further settings (picture resolution, frame rates etc.) are available via an on screen menu that comes up in the live view from the camera.

The camera was plug and play on my Windows 10 PC and no further setup was required once it was plugged in.

Image quality is excellent and the 20X optical zoom is outstanding with perfect picture quality throughout its range. Preset positions are easy to set up and the camera quickly and reliably returns to the position and zoom level for each preset without any drift.

I’m actually using this camera in an unusual way. I work from home and my desk is on a wall adjacent to the window, so I can’t see out of it from my desk. When I’m working I have the stream from this camera open in a window on my desktop and this allows me to keep an eye on our driveway for deliveries etc. Because of the remote control and zoom feature I sometimes use it to watch wildlife (birds, squirrels etc.). I can’t use it for this in total darkness as there’s no IR facility but it works even in very low light levels.

I have also tested this camera with Blue Iris and it works perfectly as long as you can plug it directly into the PC running the software (there’s no network facility built into the camera).

This is a solid, good quality camera that seems very well made and feels like it will last for years. It’s not cheap but any camera with an optical zoom system of this quality will cost at least as much so it gets 5 stars.

Fantastic first impressions the units have some weight to it it looks stylish the finish looks beautiful.
Very impressed with the instruction manual comprehensive easy to read easy to follow seems to cover everything you need just need a bit of practice
Very impressed with the connectivity the power supply is a nice length and then you can use USB HMDI cable internet cable so we have connected ability to a vast range of systems very impressed and so easy to do doesn’t take long to set up using the instructional leaflet
Wasn’t expected the remote control to be so comprehensive giving you absolute control over the camera and with the preset mode for different people within the conference call or different areas of the room it’s a brilliant way to conduct unusual camera brilliant I can’t believe you actually get a mounting plate so you can position this on a wall rather than having it sitting on a table fact you can even hang it from a ceiling very impressed
Recommend quality piece of kit which give you fantastic results clear pictures with a good zoom in most of all fantastic control

5.0 out of 5 stars Weighty and stable

  14. Patrick Holland, says:

This is excellent, with a really clean and sharp zoom. I use it for online piano lessons and the ability to save presets and have the camera swing from the keyboard to my face, just by pressing buttons on the remote, is ideal. Sure it’s a little bit overkill for my use but it makes life so much easier and the lessons much more efficient. On my macbook this didn’t require any drivers, software or messing about, it was just straight plug and play. It is quite large, but comes with a solid metal base that you can mount on the wall or ceiling as well as all the screws and rawplugs. You also get a decently long power brick and a 3m USB cable

It’s really intuitive to use. It does come with a decent instruction manual, but honestly I just played about with the remote and figured it all out very quickly. It has the ability to do everything auto, or you can set it to manual and tinker with all the cameras settings, including simple things like colour temperature and brightness, but also all lens and shutter settings with things like exposure compensation also. I found that in auto it was good right off the bat, though it did sometimes blow out on my face so I tinkered a bit with teh more basic settings and it was an excellent picture. Very clear, 1080p and 60fps.

The rear of the camera has a host of connectivity, including the ability to network the camera and daisy-chain multiple cameras. Really I was really impressed with it all round. It’s solidly built and doesn’t at all seem like a cheap alternative, despite being a good bit cheaper than many other PTZ cameras. My one complaint, and it is minor, is that you need to have 2xAAA batteries for the remote as they don’t come included, but otherwise, this is excellent. Very well recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent zoom quality

I have been on the user side of video conferencing cameras several times, especially during the Covid-19 lockdown periods; sadly, some of these were for funerals.

I have never been on the setup side of these, and whilst I am sure that there is much more to it than my testing, it was pretty easy to set up.

The manual is pretty good, although I did find that in places it was not 100% clear, however, it wasn’t difficult to get this set up for testing at least.

The quality of this camera seemed extremely good; It felt solid, it moved smoothly and looked good. When in use, the optics were very clear.

I connected the camera to the mains, and then I connected it via a network cable to the back of the router, a network cable wasn’t included, but in fairness, depending upon where you mount it, the network cable would need to be pretty long (especially in a church), or plugged into a network wall socket if the room has been networked. I am guessing you could also use powerline adapters.

Once everything was plugged in, I logged into the camera with the default IP address which is on the bottom of the camera. When you do, you will be confronted with a login screen. The screen is in Chinese initially, click on the menu option top right of the menu bar, and you will be able to select English, all is much clearer then .

Once logged in using the default user name of admin and the pasword of admin (I suggest you change the password), I was able to test the camera. It moved smoothly through 360 degrees, zoomed slowly or faster, and the optics were very good; the autofocus worked well too.

If you have a need for this type of video conferencing camera, where you have a big hall, and you want to live stream, then I think that this camera would probably be perfect. The camera is compatible with windows 7 thru 11, and worked well on my windows 10 machine. It is also compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Mac 10.4 or higher.

I have to admit it is a really “big bite” for me… :l

I am in the process to figure out how it can work for me efficiently 😉

It has several promising features which I can use effectively.
First of all, it works with MS Team and Zoom effectively. Second of all, it is able to eliminate background noise very well. After all, for the clarity of the presentation can be focused on the details in the pictures.

Although it will take a long learning journey, which I enjoy already 😉

It is an incredible aid also, related to my studies as well, managing team-related work, and as a distance learner for presenting my creations;)

    I like what I had got 😉

One of the finest quality PTZ camera I have ever seen and used. 20 Optical zoom, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I zoomed in to objects about 10 to 20 feet away. It was like I could touch them. The Full 1080p HD quality video is sufficient enough for Church events, Mosque, Wedding, classrooms and video conferences as it will enable live broadcasting for wider audiences. Pan tilt and zoom all works brilliantly and you can use presets to quickly move from one person to another by pressing a preset button on the remote control. It also have slow and fast Pan and tilt for more professional videos. Connects to my laptop and no software needed to run this package. Picture quality is sharp and clear with true colours.

I love the crystal clear audio Bluetooth device that is included in the package. It connects to my mobile without any apps and the sound quality is Hifi grade. It has noise cancelling and does a great job filtering out ambient noise. I used it in several video call apps and speaker phone quality is very impressive. I am using speaker phone for listening to music as well. Only negative feedback is that it doesn’t come with a proper setup manual which will be OK for a person like me that has 35 years of Photography and audio-visual experience but for some it may be a bit of challenge. There is always YouTube video to help.

Overall a very decent package especially the 20 PTZ and exceptional quality speaker phone with Bluetooth connection.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to after using this camera and the excellent customer service by the Tongveo team.

Our non profit organization recently began hybrid classes and we needed a quality camera to help us with this. The prices for PTZ cameras can be quite alarming, but I was pleasantly surprised at the affordable prices of the Tongveocameras.

We first ordered the TONGVEO All-in-One System Bundle HD 1080P 3X Optical Zoom PTZ Camera and Bluetooth Conference Speakerphone with microphones. The camera and bluetooth speakerphone were amazing, but we needed more optical zoom for our classes, so we upgraded to the TONGVEO 20x Optical Zoom PTZ camera.

Tongveo’sproducts (based on the experience of the ones I have used so far) are properly built with a very sleek finish. The TONGVEO 20X camera came in a carefully packaged box, and shipping was quick. When I opened the box, I was very surprised at the manufacturing of the camera. It wasn’t made of cheap plastic. It was properly built…solid, sturdy, durable and quite neat in its appearance.

Installation and setup were a breeze. It came with the bracket, screws, wall plugs…We had ours mounted on the ceiling. No additional software was required for the installation…just connect and go. The laptop picked it up immediately, and the remote control works impressively to get the perfect picture. The TONGVEO3X camera was amazing, but the TONGVEO 20X optical camera blew our minds withits enhanced and upgraded features.

Performance wise, the 20X is a pro! The transitions are super smooth, the picture quality is A class…crystal clear and clean. The presets were also very easy to configure. I also like that this one has the option for HDMI as well.

The 20X zoom feature works perfectly. The online students can now see the whiteboard as if they were present in class. The TONGVEO bluetooth speaker when paired with the TONGVEO 20x Optical Zoom PTZ Camera gives a very professional finish to our online as well as in-person classes.

We upgraded to this camera for more zooming options and we have no regret whatsoever. We got much more than what we expected. I am so very pleased with this camera and all ofTONGVEO’s products that we have used so far. From my personal experience, they are an amazing company with very innovative and well built products. I highly recommend their products, especially this camera.

Also, their customer service is excellent and the team is always ready to assist with any questions…something I truly appreciate.Thank you TONGVEO!!

    What an amazing camera!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSturdy well built. Excellent picture quality even on maximum zoom. Preset functionality excellent, a must for our church live streaming. As good as conference cameras costing more than 1000 pounds. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBewertet wird hier das Modell “Konferenzkamera 10X Optischer Zoom”:

    Kamera und Support absolut zufriedenstellend

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis camera rivals the more expensive ones that are similar to it. I’ve tested it throughly with MS Teams, Zoom and as just a webcam.

It has a very smooth zoom, great picture quality and quickly finds faces in a meeting room. The footprint is average, about the size of the big vendor’s aging cameras I replaced.

The remote works very well and has the controls clearly marked and is easy to use.

I really don’t have any Cons on this unit and can highly recommend it for corporate conferencing needs. It may be less expensive but you’d never know it.

I’ve evaluated several other cameras and complete platforms that are around the same price and some 10 times as much. I’d say that the more expensive platforms offer little more value.

This one is also plug and play. There is virtually no setup. Within a minute of plugging it into a Windows workstation it was up and running without a reboot. Nice!

It has many extra ports as well so it’s very expandable.

I haven’t tried it with any control boards but it does support industry standard protocols so I would expect it to work well with them.

Overall this is a 5 star unit and I’ll be buying more if available.
