Works well with Steam Deck and the official dock. This is helpful when you have two displays and neither support DisplayPort natively. The dock requires an active adapter, passive cables don’t work.
I recently purchased the UGREEN 4K 60Hz UHD DP to HDMI Cable, and I am really pleased with its performance and quality. The cable’s construction, featuring a braided exterior and aluminum connectors, exudes durability and professionalism.
The seamless connection between DisplayPort and HDMI is impressive, allowing me to effortlessly enjoy 4K content at 60Hz refresh rate. The clarity and vibrancy of the visuals are truly remarkable, making it a perfect fit for my work.
Exactly what I was expecting. Would have give a higher quality mark if the display port end had the locking mechanism to hold connector. That said lots of cables don’t have.
Worked immediately. I do not have audio on my monitor so I can’t comment as to whether sound is being handle correctly.
It would be nice if manufacturers could settle on a single standard for connecting monitors to computer systems. Unfortunately as the audio visual and computing worlds clash over standardization we have a few different standards for transmitting modern digital signals HDMI and Displayport. Fortunately these are both digital formats and it’s not too difficult to convert between them.
In this instance UGREEN has put together a nice package that converts from Displayport to HDMI within the cable. This makes for a tidier connection than using a small dongle and a regular HDMI cable.
The connectors on this UGREEN cable have a nice solid feel to them making them easier to handle. The connectors have a cool metallic feel to them which is a signature of UGREEN products. I like that this cable does not have retention prongs on the display port connector. Some display port connectors have small retention prongs. The prongs lock into place when inserting the cable and a button on the connector is used to disengage the prongs when removing the cable. Frustratingly I have always found those cables difficult to deal with because they don’t disengage as easily as they should. Even though there are no prongs the connector makes a solid connection when properly inserted to the socket.
The cord itself has a woven exterior that has become common these days. The cord has a solid and substantial feel. The image on the 4K monitor that I used was solid and clean with no evidence of noise. I am glad to have this cable and happily recommend it.
I have been looking for a Displayport to HDMI cable to change out my VGA to HDMI cable on my second screen on my computer setup. I run dual screens on my Dell computer for my photography work and most computers only come with 1 HDMI, 1 SVGA and at least 3 DP’s. I’ve ran my second screen with a VGA to HDMI for years but have decided to finally change out the setup and use one of my Displayport hoping to improve the images on the screen.
WOW, what a difference it made, I should have done this sooner. This cable is able to support 4K@60Hz UHD Resolution, but my computer is old and isn’t 4K. Even though it supports up to 4K@60Hz resolution, it can supports 2K@144Hz, 1080P@240Hz. My photographs have more contrast, brighter and more depth, it looks better than my original HDMI to HDMI cable i’ve been using for years.
The cable has a nice Braided nylon material with very solid connections on both ends. Today’s computers, Smart TV’s, gaming consoles, sound bar systems and multimedia requiring Displayport cables, this is one cable you should consider. This cable has made such an improvement, i’m ordering another one to replace my HDMI to HDMI.
