So, my knowledge of tyre repairs was on my push bike back in the day, with an innertube repair kit. Until now! This has come in useful to repair a tyre on my ATV that had a puncture. It is relatively simple in that you need to use the sharp tool to make a nice hole in the area that (in my case) a nail went through. You then thread a piece of the plug strip onto the tool with an eye and push into the hole. Trim of the excess poking through and job done.
Technically, this is an emergency repair kit and you should get the tyre fixed/replaced properly by a garage. I am going to see how it fairs on my land with the ATV, but so far, it has been a couple of weeks and still going strong. I certainly wouldn’t leave it on my car, or drive fast.
To get out of a flat spot, this is a great little kit to have in the boot. The gloves were no good as they were far too small.
This is the kind of kit that you hope to never have to use …so it does feel strange to write a review! This is now a staple in my car and seems to have everything you need for a tyre repair. Seems to be of good quality and probably something that I would look to purchase for every member of my family to keep in their vehicles. I do a lot of road trips for work so it’s reassuring to have this with me.
Good value decent car tyre puncture repair kit for its current price tag of 16.99. It comes in a nice hard backed zip case full of: 1 T-handle spiral tool, 1 extra spiral needle replacement head, 1 T-handle insert tool, 1 extra insert needle replacement head, 1 ergonomic pliers, 1 retractable cutting tool, 1 pair of gloves, 20 string repair plugs, 1 storage case and an instruction sheet. I’ve not had to use it yet; hopefully, I will never need to. It means that I can’t comment on how well a repair with it will hold up. The quality of each of the tools is on par with its price.

I have ordered this to keep in the boot of my car for when it is needed.
The kit though arrives in a handy, compact, sturdy case and all items feel really sturdy. There are spare parts that can be inserted to the main T-Bar handle units, although it’s hard to see how they could be broken.
20 rubber strips are supplied so enough to repair 20 punctures. That’s a lot of punctures!
The instructions are easy to follow and so most punctures should be easy to fix, even if this is only a temporary fix. I also checked YouTube and there are several videos that show exactly how to use the kit.
Everything you need is supplied, including a pair of pliers for pulling out the offending puncture item and a craft knife for cutting off excess rubber from the strips when you have filled in the puncture. This is one of those cheap craft knifes where you can snap off a small section of the blade when required. This will be more than adequate for the intended purpose.
Overall I would highly recommend this kit based on my initial findings

The repair kit comes squeezed into a handy carry case that has a carbon fibre look although I did find the contents barely fits into it with the T-bars barely being able to fit in after I had taken them out.
The kit consists of:
1x T-handle insert tool
1x T-handle spiral probe tool
1x pair of soft grip pliers
20x string repair plugs
1x pair of disposable gloves
1x canvas storage case
1x instruction sheet
2 extra replacement heads for the T-handle tools
The quality of the kit appears adequate and I luckily have not had to use the kit yet although all the parts are here should you need to.
Overall this appears a competent repair kit and is always handy to have in the back of the car in case of an emergency for a reasonable price.
This Meqaniq tyre repair kit is a practical tool kit for keeping in the car for emergencies.
You get a solidly built zip up case containing two tools for preparing the puncture hole and threading through a rubber strip to fill and seal the hole. You get spares for these tools, a craft knife for cutting off excess rubber thread, 20 pieces of rubber thread and a pair of cotton gloves to protect your hands.
I’ve yet to need to use the kit however it seems sturdy, the instructions are clear and the kit seems comprehensive. The only reason for not giving five stars is the zip up case could do with being 1cm longer and wider. It’s quite a tight fit to fit everything in it. It’s as though the case was designed as a very tight fit for the tools but the gloves were an afterthought and it’s quite a tight squeeze to fit those back in.
Without having had to use this yet to plug a tyre, my review will be rather speculative. Looking at the quality of this kit, all seems OK. The metal parts feel solid and weighty, so hopefully they are adequately strong. The gloves, pliers and knife feel adequate for the task, and fortunately the gloves feel OK on my large hands. It is a tight squeeze to fit all the components into the case, but they do fit, and the case is easily stowed in the boot without taking much room. I’ve looked at videos and websites reviewing this type of repair system, and haven’t found anything to cause concern provided you stick to the guidelines. I’m not sure whether the spare rubber strips will eventually start to dry out and lose their sticky adhesion – it would be nice if this was clarified in the product documentation. Also, it would be helpful if an Allen key was provided for replacing the probes.
Overall, kit seems OK, provided it works.
I bought this puncture repair kit after i saw a video on how actually do a puncture repair. I was so surprised as to how easy and quickly it can be done. All new cars don’t carry a spare wheel anymore so if you have a puncture that is caused by a screw or a nail then this kit is a life saver as its got me out of trouble on a number of occasions. Car manufacturers only supply you with an inflation kit which consists of a tyre air pump and a cylinder of foam which you pump into the tyre to fix the leak and renders the tyre useless after that because you cant re-use the same tyre again. This kit comes with everything you need for the repair even a pair of gloves and a set of pliers. The only thing missing, which I had in my old kit, is the glue used to shore up the repair, however this is NOT essential. In the attached photos have shown all the bits of equipment that come as part of this kit.
I have attached a picture of the instruction leaflet that comes with this so that you can see for yourself how useless the instructions are for something as important as this. What they really needed to provide is a more comprehensive set of instructions, with diagrams at every stage. In lieu of any proper instructions I recommend that you watch a short video on YouTube that shows you how to use a puncture repair kit like this. Hopefully you will be able to see how easy it is.
Please note that if you have damaged or split the side wall of your tyre then this kit is NOT for repairing that. This type of repair is only used for the tread area of the tyre. Overall this is a really good tyre repair kit, and could easily have been a 5 star product had they included the glue and better instructions. The glue is to cover the strip that your using for the repair to give you a better seal.
If you want to gift this to someone then this is ideal as a gift as it comes in nice colourful packaging and the kit is all contained in one lovely black case. I would say the case it comes in is a hard case, but it has enough flexibility in it to allow everything to fit in it nicely. Even with all the kit inside it you can still fit this case in your hand, as shown in one of the attached photos.
