Coming in very simply cheap looking packaging this is a very light and simple product but it simply works.
there looks to be a headphone port for external sound options but i never needed to use this as the hdmi sound works fine straight out the box.
The picture looks fine stretched to a 1080p screen with no flickers or artifacts and it just simply works (most need/use a usb external power connection so its great this works how it is).
Being an item thats bringing some old hardware to more modern screens for a older 60hz screen this works great for anything more modern or above its not worked well. On a 120hz screen the picture is permently “bouncing” theres some kind of refresh issue that makes it unusable and gets worse on a 144hz screen. As these are becoming more the norm, its something to note.
If youre just hooking it upto a 60hz screen or willing to force the hz in the monitors hud for compatibility this works great and is a fantastic little device in bringing a wii to a more modern screen.
