Recommended. This is a nice, wired mouse with many customizable options. It is quick and responsive and durable. It fits well in my (small lady) hands and I am able to use it for a long time without pain. The buttons are sturdy and give a haptic click when pressed. Unfortunately, they are a little too easy to press and I often find myself opening my web browser instead of right-clicking because I hit the wrong button.
I will preface this with the fact that I am not much of a gamer. However, I tend to get gaming mice because of the customization available on them and the ergonomics. This mouse fits right into that category for me. It has a very long cord that is wrapped in a braided material. There are several buttons available for customizing with their app but, even if you choose not to do this, there are some pre-programmed options already assigned to the buttons. One I can attest to is the ‘open browser’ button that is along the left. I hit this button more often than I would like which, I must say, is super annoying. Other than that, though, the buttons are ‘clicky’ and the scroll wheel has a little more weight than normal making it feel nice under the fingers. The only thing I wish it had was an infinite scroll option, which it does not.
The mouse feels good in my small hands and is ergonomic enough that I can use it for several hours without pain. It is also durable. I have mine plugged into a laptop that I move from my bedroom to my living room for writing. I am ashamed to say I let the mouse roll off the lapdesk I carry it on far more often than I should. It has hit the floor several times but still works great! 😉
Overall I would recommend this mouse, especially if you are like me and like a mouse with lots of clicky buttons that can be customized.
I am a fast paced heavy duty gamer and needed a serious mouse upgrade…I definitely got just that. wireless was not at all working out for me. Accuracy and response time is key. The design and comfort is too good. The mouse looks like it is totally made for any battle. I am super happy with it. Way cool! Time to enter the Mech Arena like never before!
The manual tells you to download M5, but you can’t customize button with it. Download the M6 instead. It works. Mouse works perfectly and I can create and save different setup depending on the game. For macro, right click to make a new group. In that group, right click to add a new macro. Then you can rename and record button as you wish. The interface itself pretty much explains the process.
This is a decent option if you need a gaming mouse at an affordable price.
DO NOT throw away the instruction manual provided. The manual has the website address where the macro programming software can be downloaded. I tried typing WolflawS driver on Google and was not directed to a site where the software could be downloaded. As far as I can tell, you need the direct address provided in the manual. There is also no way to program the mouse without that software download. Without the software, the mouse functions, but it functions as a standard USB mouse with a wheel.
I am not a super gamer, but I fiddled around with some of the settings on the mouse. I found the software easy to use. The cycle light options are nice and simple to change. Important Note — there is a small button at the button of the mouse that turns on the lights. Mine was auto-set to Off. I had to flip it to ON before any changes I made in the light cycle part of the software would work.
At first, I thought the mouse cursor movement was too jerky, but after adjusting the dpi settings in the software, I found a setting that made for a much smoother feel. I believe the dpi was set to 8 when shipped to me. I had to boost it up to the highest setting to find the feel that I preferred.
I enjoy the Show Desktop button and the buttons that flip pages left and right; however, I have never used those features before, so I don’t always remember they’re there.
If you’re like me — an occasional gamer — this mouse is a great, affordable option. It is also ideal for users whose functions are geared more toward office use. The shortcut buttons (once learned) will make office work quicker.
