I bought one for my grandson’s birthday, he was very pleased with it. I got one with my xbox S that my daughter bought for me last year, it is strong and an improved design on the xbox one version.
Got this for my son (17) a few days ago, he chose it himself and said he likes it, he loves the colour and feels great to use so far. He is very happy with it.
My son’s cheaper version started playing up, and had never been that good, so we decided to spend a few quid more and get the ‘proper’ one. Definitely a good idea – son loves it and says it’s so much better than the old one, much easier and nicer to use.
Got this to use for PC games. I’ve been using the Nintendo Pro Controller to play which is okay. You can get Nintendo’s working with third party software or Steam but the xbox controller works out of the box over Bluetooth. The triggers and vibration on the xbox controller are far better than the Nintendo controller, but the issue for me, is the xbox controller is built from very cheap plastic whereas the Nintendo one and Sony’s DualSense feel very premium.
Got this for my kids, it’s an official product so it’s as functional as you expect. Only down side is all the buttons are Red would have been better if they where the standard colours.
Very well made it feels solid upon first opening feels great to hold been using it to play out run on my lap top and beach buggy racing on my TV from the Amazon app store with the Amazon fire stick
It took 2 years of occasional use to break RB key. Ridiculous for a 70 controller. If you don’t have an XBOX, try another controller that doesn’t break so easily.
Details: RB would not push. I can hear the “click” sound on LB, no more on RB. Same thing happened to all my previous Xbox controllers, but this was faster than any of them.
Delusional and embarrassing.
So I bought this controller hoping to get rid of my stick drift only to find out it had a problem on the X button where it would stick down after being pressed, I ordered a refund but after using it a little bit I noticed that the notch holding it down like a small pip of plastic had worn down and I still use this controller to this day. The colour I love and the grip are really good.
I bought a red controller it included batteries, there is a good selection of colours, it works well easy to use. The price was good with 33% discount. I ordered it a 10.45pm and received it at 2.30pm the next day.
Came a day earlier than expected, came sealed in the packaging, controller in one piece, exactly as listed, came with batteries to put in the controller, came with instructions on how to connect it to your Xbox (its really simple!) and most importantly, the controller works! Couldn’t ask for any more!
By now Xbox controllers should have been better, the controller is very loud when clicking the buttons compere to one I bought from AliExpress which is very silent when I click the buttons.
I purchased an additional Xbox Wireless Controller to play my favorite games on my couple-years-old Xbox One S console. Despite the fact that this new controller has been designed for Xbox Series S/X, it is 100% compatible with my console and works flawlessly with my Xbox One S. I also purchased rechargeable batteries from the brand Venom and added the Green Silicone Thumb Grip Stick Cap Cover. This Xbox controller is genuine and high quality. I’m thinking of upgrading my second older controller to this new version too.
I liked the price as it was discounted on Prime day.
My son sees controllers as a consumables product as he games a lot.
I bought this knowing I would be getting the “Dad, can I borrow your controller?” Call sometime soon.
Sure enough the call came and the controller went.
My gaming was not interrupted so it was a win win for not much more than the cost of a repair.
Nice! I like this pad very much, but it does have a slight problem, and I would say problem not fault, and that is the quick photo button which is easily caught when not needed as I keep taking screen shots that I don’t want lol, but apart from this minor issue it’s a 10+ out of 10 for me.
Not a whole lot has changed since the last version of the Xbox One controller, but what has changed is amazing, to me at least. The triggers, bumpers and back half of the controller have tactile bump grips on them now which feels great when holding it. The triggers have a soft and quiet pull to them that gives off a really premium and well made feeling to use them. There’s a new share button for taking screenshots and clips which is a nice touch, though not terribly new or unique to it. The D-pad has been replaced with a radial plate kind of design that makes clicking in the diagonal directions a little easier, it almost feels like rotating the yellow stick on a Gamecube controller if you remember how that felt. All of the buttons press quite softly but decisively, overall every element of this controller feels high quality and sturdy, I can’t imagine it would be too easy to break or damage it unless you were trying to. My only gripe would be from a self repair perspective, it doesn’t have any visible screwholes anywhere, even inside the battery compartment; so if you needed to open it and fix something it would prove more difficult than older controllers like the 360’s. Of all controllers I’ve held and used, this is by far my favourite. Simply perfect. I highly recommend getting one, it’s so good. The introduced features aren’t so game changing that you should go out of your way to replace a perfectly good older controller with this, but if you’re in the market for a new controller I would encourage anyone to put a little extra money down and get this one.

Do you need a replacement controller for your series X/S console?
If you do this controller is fine, it connected first time and after a quick software update it’s worked fine since.
I got the yellow one as at time of purchase, it was about 8 cheaper than most of the other colours. I did not particularly get it for the look, though I like it, I spend more time looking at the screen I’m playing on rather than the controller in my hands.
It makes such a change having a good new controller without stick drift, than a well used 5 year old controller.
But like the rest of the line they can’t take much in the way of drops and the sticks start to drift after a year. Really is time for them to go hall effect.
It came with two AA Duracell batteries and it’s a big step above the 1708 controller with a more ergonomic design in every way from the convex in the thumb sticks to the shallower triggers to the shape and size of the controller itself.
It fits the hand better than previous models and the textured grip on the back of the handles makes it really satisfying to hold too.
For anyone that it may concern, this controller also eliminates some problems previous models had such as the way that the bumpers would eventually stop communicating with the switches behind them despite the switches themselves being fine which led a lot of people to replace the bumper assembly or bodge it with tape.
It’s also completely customisable. You can replace everything on the controller with something custom to the point where you could argue it’s not even the same controller that you bought anymore. Every button, both thumb sticks, the triggers and the faceplate can all be replaced with custom aftermarket variants that are available online.
Overall this is a sturdy, durable controller made from quality materials at a fair price and it’s a pleasure to use.
