Always had Mifit bands but not for last year or so. Got this Mifit 8 and it’s great for a cheaper activity tracker. I’m sure if you are a serious fitness person you could pick holes in it but for me it’s perfect. It seems pretty accurate to me so I’m happy. Favourite feature, setting an alarm which vibrates on wrist so I don’t wake hubby up with phone alarm.
I’m a fan of Mi band, had nearly all of the previous ones. This one has a very nice design and build quality, haven’t had any issues with it.
If I had a suggestion for improvement it would be around the shortcut for torch. On my band 6 I could add a shortcut for torch in the slide left/right menu. I can add this to band 8 too, only that is not full screen and basically you need to add another shortcut that you not necessarily need just to have your torch handy.
This item looked really great. I have a redmi note 10. The phone and the smart band did not pair. It seems that it was because of the version of Bluetooth – the phone has 5.0 but the band needs 5.1. So sadly I had to return it.
I was looking for a basic fitness tracker to log my runs, steps etc and its honestly much better than I thought for the price (35).
Tracks steps, activity, heart rate and blood ox as well as more features than I’ll ever use.
I have no idea why people would spend 400 on an apple watch when something sub 40 will do pretty much everything you could need.
For context, I’ve been doing the couch to 5k and trying to loose the Christmas weight.
Seriously impressed. – Also not paid for this review just pleased in something that I have spent my own money on!
I have an iPhone and I recently started working out, so I was meaning to get myself a wearable health tracker that’s compatible with my phone. Obviously the first option is an apple watch, but I really didn’t want to pay so much money for something I’ll use for a very specific and limited use case.
Then I thought I couldn’t go wrong with a 37 purchase and decided to give this watch a go, and I’m so glad I did.
The integration blew my mind. The app can communicate with apple health app and can log in step count, blood oxygen level, heart rate and so on. It can receive notification from messaging apps like apple watch, it even has “find my phone” that vibrates the phone. I bought it under the assumption that it’d operate in its own data bubble, this level of cross-platform compatibility is far beyond my expectation.
I’m not a big fan of smartwatches in the first place so I couldn’t care less about staying in the apple ecosystem. All I wanted was not having a heart attack while rowing (which is an exercise that it tracks) and still I pretty much got the entire package. Admittedly I never owned an apple watch but I’d be shocked if there’s in fact a 750 difference in user experience between two devices in the context that I use.
One thing that lost me like 5 minutes until I found the relevant reddit page is that the app design is a bit clunky. The initial user agreement page seems to be stuck. in reality there are two invisible toggle buttons on the left side of the agreement rows. In case anyone else can’t figure out what’s going on.
