MY OLD CHARGER HAD NO EFFECT ON CAR BATTERY THAT HAD STOOD FOR SEVERAL WEEKS JUST ATTACHED NEW CHARGER AND LEFT ON 24 HOURS, BATTERY BOUGHT BACK FROM THE DEAD, CERTAINLY THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD, PRICE VERY GOOD, COULD NOT SEE HOW A MORE EXPENSIVE ONE COULD BE BETTER OR EVEN GOOD AS, 5 STARS FROM ME.
Recently purchased in February 2024, and had problems straight away – when plugged in and leads attached to battery all I got was an “OFF” sign. Eventually gave up on my purchase. However, after asking other purchasers for their advice, I got some positive replies – one bring the little transparent strip over a function buttonremoved this, and started to try and get a charge – As soon as the charger became live – my charger started to chargefantastic!
5* value for money 3* ease of use is confusing to me. 2* screen quite difficult to read in daylight (maybe better in a garage). Overall value for money, and I have given 5* for this.
My fairly new caravan battery went flat over the winter – my normal battery charger just said error when I tried it. This one charged it for 18 hours and it is (apparently) fully recharged!

Bought this with sole purpose of repairing a 12v 6ah battery for my wood chipper. It arrived yesterday afternoon, followed the manufacturer instructions and left it to do its job. 18 hours later I now have a battery with a full charge wood chipper now back on electric start. Well impressed
Was unsure of how well this charger would work due to the low price, but boy was I wrong!! It’s actually better than my batium charger which cost over 10 times more! It gives battery reading even when switched off too! Charged 3 motorcycle batteries which I thought were for the scrap! 10 out of 10!

Easy to use, yes it does provide a decent 8A output during a 12V charge. Has an internal fan at one end, did not come on very much over a a few hours charge. The display cycles through different values (amps and shows charge volts) of information, but interestingly, the total Ah value passed into the battery is missed from this. The Ah would be more useful when charging batteries than the tempertature reading. You cannot beat the price, and into the bargain you also get a rejuvinating mode (takes about 18 hours though) and it can also charge two 12V batteries at the same time in series at 24V. The current display did prove handy and it was easy to see charge state during the cycle as it dropped off towards the end. Great job. UPDATE: I wired in a power monitor display (Vpk IPk mAh etc) on the output leads, it reads incorrectly as the charger is a pulse charger and the display does not make sense with the pulse charging a battery. The charger display does appear to make sense, so don’t bother adding another external display.
It’s compact, easy to use and charged my battery from absolute flat – enough to start my diesel engine – in less than an hour. Very happy with the purchase.
