Giving to children this Christmas. Believe me there will be no stone unturned and examined. Their parents will, no doubt not include me at their Christmas party. Ho Ho Ho. Their wicked cousin strikes again.

This product is heavy and magnifying ability seems both clear and distortion free.

30x mag is a lot. Perhaps too much for daily use. Plus the casing is plastic and would not resist dropping. I wanted it to read the increasingly small print on supermarket packaging. It will do this well but, frankly, a smaller, lighter model is more suitable for this. I do use it but so far mostly in the home.

Love this magnifier and light. It is easy to use and has different brightness’s to choose from. My reason for 4 stars is that the switch is on the side of the handle and I am forever turning it on, down, off by mistake. It think if the switch was in a different location it might be a perfect addition to a craft room, but not a deal breaker. Good piece of kit.

A medium sized magnifier. It also lights up to help increase viewing ability.
It is very neat but sturdy to hold.
It has very much increased my ability to read those tiny instructions on the side of cans and bottles.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA Little heavy to hold,
so if you plan to use it for any length of time it wouldn’t be suitable for you.
Reading a book for example, you would prob give up after a chapter or two.
I think it would be more suitable for working on something small for a short period of time.

It’s well made, and the LED light is nice and bright.

Takes two AA batteries, not included.

I don’t know if it’s really 30X magnification, but for the money it’s a good buy and will do the job I bought it for.

You could always order it and try it out, and if it isn’t suitable send it back for a refund.

I do believe its the best one Amazon sells, I should know as I went through every type they sold and this was by far the best sounding one on the site.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA lot of ballyhoo about it being 30 times magnification. Yet not a cheep or a clue on the box about it’s strength. Yes, it was well packed. Yes, it was nice and chunky. Yes the internal dimension were as advertised, lens only diameter: 80mm. I bought a larger illuminated magnifying glass months ago. It was supposed to be 30x on the main lens and 60x on the small mirror at the base of lens. The damaged box gave the show away. It said on the box, 2x and 30x. In fairness, I got my money back and they didn’t ask for the glass back. So I know what 30x magnification looks like. In my opinion, this mag glass is never 30x magnification. It might be more than 2x. However, I might keep it to give as Christmas present as it was a good price. It’ll still help someone with poor eyesight I suppose.
