Im very impressed of this purchase ,never been leaving any reviews but on this product I’m so happy. Had for a years induction hob but never had like I bought now. Very quick ,temperature you can set by your self, easy clean . Highly recommend for who is looking something like this
I have been using these induction hobs for a couple of years and love them. They are so quick to bring water to the boil and I often cook on them to. I think the best feature is the timer as I can just set it tp turn off by itself.
I love this hob! It heats up immediately and plugs into any socket. I love curry but my wife doesn’t. She hates the smell, so I take this hob into my workshed and cook my curry out there. It works with all the pans we have so I didn’t need to buy new. It’s small so I tuck it away in its box in my shed for whenever I fancy any food that we don’t particularly want to be smelling in the house for days
EDIT 15/04/24 from * to ***** – the customer service has been outstanding.
This thing was taken out of the box and plugged in to the same power socket we had an electriQ 2 Zone Portable Induction Hob working for over 3 years that quietly stopped working. Once turned on a big bang and flash that triggered fuses. Fortunately, no injuries or any harm done to electrical infrastructure.
I have then decided to order two new electriQ 2 Zone Portable Induction Hob (nearly half the price) that we had before and that broke down after 3 years of quite a bit of use.
I’m very happy this product, I buy first time this hob I never used before…. My first experience is good for this product… I’m very scared to buy this product bcz I don’t know it’s worthful or not, but now I’m satisfied…. When I received this product I try it’s work or not but it’s not turning on I’m so surprised but after I read the book it’s mentioned first put it pot on the scale then it’s turning on …. So I do it and it’s turning on…. It’s very easy to used and clean I used many time it’s nothing problem till now…. Its very useful….
We are loving this induction hob. It took a minute for us to figure out how to use it as we were using a pot which was not compatible, but after checking instructions we realised we needed to use an induction pot, which we did and it works great!
We were already impressed with the right hand hob and how fast it heats up but after trying out the left hand hob we couldn’t believe how fast it boiled the water in the pot!
It comes with child locks which is very handy for wee kids who want to touch everything and also I like the way it cools down very quickly too making it much safer. The slim line design is perfect for storing away and we think it would be good to use in a small apartment or caravan where there is very limited space. This hob is also great to use when you have a big crowd round and need extra cooking hobs. Can’t fault it, would recommend.
I bought this to replace a thicker single induction hob as, at 5’3″ sitting on the worktop made it uncomfortably high. This one is better but worth noting that it is much wider and longer, so please note ALL the dimensions before purchase
I can’t afford a cooker, so got this. So far it’s good.
I’ve made curries, omelette etc. The only down side, it’s hars to find the pots that suit it, and the ones that I’ve got are expensive for this.
But I would say get this is your saving for a cooker, or on a tight budget.
I really liked this and I used it loads over the year but a problem with one of the rings meant that I had to get in touch with customer service, they were very personable and arranged for replacement parts and then for a full replacement which turned up 2 days later. That is very good customer service for a company based on the other side of the world, all done via email and their customer support website
Very reasonably priced and easy to use. Unfortunately due to hot spots on high heat, it’s caused the base of one of my heavy duty Aga pans to delaminate. Very effective if used with moderate heat – I personally can’t see any reason for using it on superheat, but one of my colleagues tends to do that!
The speed at which this heats pans is night and day from my old electric hob, under 3 minutes for a good amount of water to boil.
As the surface is slightly frosted glass, it’s really easy to clean.
I had to buy new pans as my old ones were found to be too warped to be of any use.
My only problem was the increments in temperature which are offered – I found at 100 degrees C, there was barely a simmer happening, the next increment is 120 where a ferocious boil occurs. No real biggy, but when cooking pasta, use a very large pot half filled so when the starch releases you don’t get over-spill…hopefully.
Overall, rather pleased.
This is a great product… it heats super fast, looks great and is easy to wipe clean. But you need to look after it, which is very easy. Read on please…
The first one we bought lasted no more than a day. The replacement is fine so far.
I’ve read many reviews where others had problems, and I think these tips should help everyone.
1) make sure the FAN is ok: the fan should kick in frequently, and not be too noisy. Or you have a faulty one. If the fan does not come on it will stop working permanently (it’s cooked itself) and probably trip your distribution board.
2) DO NOT switch it off at the socket soon after using it. The fan is essential for cooling it down correctly. It can’t do that if you turn it off at the socket.
3) the heat is generated in a small spot in your pan or cooking pot base. Unless boiling water or simmering move the pot around a bit every 20 seconds or so. Otherwise your food will burn at that spot.
4) About the hot spot: the cooker heats up, pauses, heats up, pauses… in that pattern. You can hear it heating up. DON’T use a NYLON fish slice while it is heating that spot! I found the 600 degrees setting to be fine for a quick slice action, but on 800 the tip of the fish slice will melt instantly and stick to the pan i.e. if it touches that small hot spot while heating up. You will end up with burnt nylon in your food. Alternatively only slice when it is NOT heating up, or lift the pan off the cooker while slicing.
My first induction hob, our cooker hob/oven is gas. Heats water freakishly fast, very impressive. If all you do is boil water to boil or steam eggs/potatoes/pasta/rice/vegetables then as far as I can tell you set the temperature to 100C and it does it! It boils the water. Set it to 80C and it stops boiling the water, back up to 100C and it boils again; it’s the fastest response I’ve ever known. Haven’t tried frying yet. This hob has more power settings than some of the competition , some of which only go down to 500 Watts, I purchased this one because it goes down to 200 Watts giving one better low power control if that proves required, then up in 200 Watt increments, peaking at 1800 on the left and 1000 on the right. I suspect we’ll use the temperature setting mainly and park it at 100C. When turned on it seems to default to the maximum temperature which I feel is silly, it should default to the lowest setting or the last setting used. You can’t set the power or temperature unless a pan is sitting on the hob which is annoying because there is no power delivered until an induction suitable pan is put on it so what is the harm? Take the pan off and the heating stops instantly but the hob will be hot because a hot pan was there. The cooling fans are reasonably loud but I would not describe the noise as intrusive. Two year warranty. Pleased with it so far, I think I chose the right model. I chose an induction hob because I felt it the safest way to cook as it only heats when the pan is present and then rapidly cools, good for those who might accidentally leave the hob on.

I just wanted to express my gratitude and admiration for the customer service representative who reached out to me after reading my initial feedback. It was such a pleasant surprise to receive an email inquiring about my experience with the product. I appreciate the company’s and the representative’s proactive approach and exceptional customer service. Their attitude and attention to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.
After communicating with the customer service representative, I was willing to give the product another chance. It’s worth mentioning that the appearance of the new one was different, with a sandblasted surface instead of a smooth mirror finish, and the performance was a little bit better than the one I returned. Although the new induction hob showed improvement over the previous one, there is still room for improvement in terms of heating. As shown in the video clip, you can see that the heat was not distributed evenly on the bottom of the pan (maybe)due to the arrangement of the coils, so only some parts of my pancake were overcooked while the other parts were still undercooked, which needs to be taken into consideration when using it. In addition, I believe that the temperature selection can be even more precise, especially between 80 and 100 degrees, where more or a few more options should be added.
1) Could be better if the temperature can be selected within the range from 80 to 100, eg 85 90.
2) Imbalanced heating as photo shown.
I have had this for the past two months and so far I’m very pleased with it. Easy to use and clean and compared to my previous induction hob it does not burn the food, probably because it’s less powerful but that seems to be definitely a good thing. I would absolutely recommend.
Edit
18 months on and the hob has developed a big crack on the left side , however was still working fine! For safety reasons I had to ask Amazon if I could return as the product developed a fault within the two year warranty. Amazon was swift at arranging a return( although Evri took two weeks to pick it up and 6 labels, forcing my hand on buying a new one! Urghhh)!
The seller requested to complete a form and a few details order number, model number etc making the return a bit more time consuming , whereas Amazon was faster on offering a solution. Taking a star off due to the fault it developed and I wish their customer service was as fast as Amazon’s.
I still love the product and would recommend, although the new 2024 model is not shiny but rather frosted, and that’s a downgrade as it makes it look cheap but on the other hand I hope it is sturdier and doesn’t crack!!
