ASUS Dual Radeon RX 7800 XT OC Edition 16GB GDDR6 (AMD RDNA
ASUS Dual Radeon RX 7800 XT OC Edition 16GB GDDR6 (AMD RDNA 3, PCIe 4.0, 16GB GDDR6 memory, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1)
Auto-Extreme Technology
Auto-Extreme Technology is an automated manufacturing process that sets new standards in the industry as all soldering work can be done in a single pass. This reduces thermal stress on components and avoids the use of harsh cleaning chemicals, resulting in lower environmental impact, lower energy consumption during manufacturing and an overall more reliable product.
Protective backplate
The board is reinforced by an aluminium backplate that provides additional structural rigidity and helps prevent components and traces from bending and being protected from damage. On the back there is a wide air outlet through which the hot air can escape towards the case fans instead of being directed back into the GPU cooler.
Stainless steel holder
The bracket of the dual has been reinforced with 304 stainless steel, which is harder and more corrosion resistant.
GPU TWEAK III
ASUS GPU Tweak III takes graphics card tuning to the next level. It allows you to optimize critical parameters such as GPU core clock, memory frequency and voltage settings, with the ability to monitor everything in real time via a customizable on-screen display. Advanced fan control is also included, along with many more features to help you get the most out of your graphics card.

Love the performance of this card – cannot fault it. But got coil whine being transferred through headphones which was super annoying. Easy fix by adding an external sound card to the PC though.
This GPU is a bargain after the current rebate from ASUS. Although I couldn’t find any reviews of this particular model it seems to me to be quiet and cool and ASUS appears to use the same dual fan cooling arrangement for different GPUs which have been reviewed. Generally the card performs very well. Last week AMD announced a new version of its upscaling software (FSR) which, assuming it lives up to the promise, will address criticism of AMD in this area. Another plus for this GPU.
Purchased after many months of research and indecision regarding whether to stick with the familiarity of nVidia (as I was upgrading from a 9 year old GTX 980ti). Very glad I decided to jump ship and join Team Red as the experience so far has been superb – no signs of any issues and now able to run recent titles such as Starfield and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty at well over 60 FPS 1440p ultra settings, and almost tripled my 3D Mark Time Spy score. Also within a few hours of getting to grips with the Radeon Adrenaline software the card is running cooler and quieter thanks to the easy to use and configure undervolting/overclocking features.
The RX7800 XT is a good performer for 1080p high frame rates, 1440p high detail and 4k, although that depends on what you are playing. Looking at the market, you can also say it is pretty good value coming in at under 500 but especially so when I bought it with cashback from ASUS reducing it to just over 400 which makes it a bargain (relatively speaking).
The card itself isn’t flashy but seems solidly built and suits a ‘non-bling’ system really well. I found it useful to have a dual fan cooler set up because it keeps the length of the card down and means it fitted into my case with plenty of room to spare (about the same size as my outgoing GTX 1080ti) although it isn’t a small card as it effectively takes up 3 slots in your case – yes it is about 2.5 slots in width but that puts the entire slot out of action. In terms of specs, it isn’t the fastest 7800 out there in terms of overclocking but in reality there isn’t much between the different cards apart from the coolers and power consumption.
It runs games fantastically well on my ultrawide display which is no doubt helped by its 80hz limit. It only has 1 HDMI which might be a pain for some but it carried the latest AMD technology and getting 16GB for this price means it should be able to keep up with games for the next few years. I can’t compare it to a three fan cooler but I haven’t had any issues with overheating and it runs really quietly although I am probably not pushing it too much on most games. It also has a useful dual bios set up for a quiet and regular option.
Whether or not you go with AMD, Intel or Nvidia is up to you. For the money I think this offers the most value, especially with discounts, as long as the RX 7900GRE doesn’t get too close in price. It doesn’t offer the ray tracing and DLSS of Nvidia so if that is important you might be better off with the RTX 4070 but the SUPER version of that is a lot more and this offers more performance for the money against the regular 4070.
Oh and finally, no issues with deliver from Amazon, in fact it came earlier than the initial predicted date from them so 5 stars there.
Bought this to replace an aging graphics card and and am extremely impressed, can instantly tell the difference. The 7800 xt is a great piece of kit, no issues at all.
After several years of not updating my graphics card I finally pulled the trigger on a RX 7800 XT.
Now I can put the visuals up to max on my 1440p system with no stuttering.
This was 490 with 85 asus cashback. By far best value GPU in this price range.
Performance hits 144fps at 1440p at high settings in every game i’ve tried. Card temp on default profile barely goes above 60’C. Card is very quiet, at 60’C the RPM of the fans is around 1500. Why are the other cards massive with triple fans? The card is not a huge monstrosity like other cards covered in RGB, form over style.
I am extremely happy with my purchase, especially at that price. Highly recommend.
The ASUS DUAL RADEON RX 7800 XT OC Edition is an impressive product, delivering high frame rates and image quality in all modern AAA games at 1080p and 1440p and even 4K resolutions, with relatively low temperatures and acceptable noise level, all at an affordable price point. Overall, a highly recommended product.
Excellent performance at 1440p (>100fps in all games I’ve thrown at it) and the backplate gives confidence that it won’t snap off the PCI.e slot (it’s a heavy one!), but the fans spin up to quite a loud background noise. The bearings themselves are quiet, but the airflow is loud.
Really pleased with this GPU, it not only looks good but is very quiet as well. I did a lot of research before choosing this GPU and now I’ve received and installed it I am really pleased with the results.
This card is the best decision that I have made. The number one thing is that the set up was easy and it worked on all my games. The picture quality is outstanding with raytracing and AMD super resolution. I have played F1 and Destiny 2,both look great. I have purchased Asus products for many years, never had any problems, which gave me confidence in getting this graphic card. I was still apprehensive, about AMD cards, even though I have not had any problems with my other cards, due to the problems I have faced with my Gigabyte RX 6750Xt, which I spent 5 days trying to get to work. Gigabyte drivers from 2022 , but they use new drivers from AMD Feb 2024, games kept crashing. I have written a review on this RX6750XT from Gigabyte. This card from Asus was very simple to set up, did a clean driver DDU using AMD website on the PC to remove all old files from previous card, then fitted the card into the PC, when to Asus website down loaded the drivers and Aderline from their website. Asus drivers are from December 2023, so not so old, but there was a new driver update on AMD website. Checked all the games were working then using the Adrenaline software updated to the news drivers from Feb 2024. The games all work fine with great FBS from 180 to 300 on a 1080p TV as a monitor. It took all of 10 mins to do. Thank you Asus, you have restored my faith, after so much frustration with others. I also do not understand why when all 6000s AMD cards are no longer produced and driver updates not been supported (Gigabyte shame on you!!) , why you would not opt for the 7000s seriers with newer artucture R3 and future proff for many years with updates. So my advice would be get a New RX7000 series GPUs the Asus has worked so well on my systems, so I would buy this card and recommend it, its a shame I could not get the triple fan, 7800xt, since I was not sure it would fit the case. The new 7000s are very large cards, so you will have to make sure they will fit. I wish the cards were a bit more cheaper. But I hope you have found this review useful. This is a great card.
