Item arrived by the next day which was awesome.
The lens itself is overall good. I was looking for a lens that could capture something small, use for Portraits, and capture details, it does all of that, but only downfall is, object has to be still as there’s no focus and can only use it in manual mode.

Overall really happy with this lens, and would buy again!

Lens works as described (manual lens, attach with “release without lens” function). I used it in CanonRP and SonyA6000 with adaptors. I have been taking photograph as a serious enthusiast for over 30 years. I bought it out of confusion, actually. Before returning it without opening it, I decided to give it a try, and it is a definite keeper. The lens renders simply incredible portraits. Above 3.0 aperture value, it is superb. Incredible Bokeh with beautiful skin tone rendering and perfect background color rendering as well. I used it in portraits with lots of gray, blue and reddish brown colors and it is simply superb. I also tested it at full aperture, in dark gym for basketball game, and it did not perform well. It is a portrait lens, with ability to take also flowers, and plants, everything that requires beautiful character and subject background separation. It is a great complement to your existing collection if you have already wide angle lenses and zooms, and want to add an affordable portrait dedicated lens. I am pleased with the lens.

Instructions were as they said just put it into manual mode and turn on. Love the pictures; I’m new at shooting in manual and still learning but so far I love this lens

The ‘BENOISON’ 85mm f1.8 Manual Focus lens for Nikon cameras has been an absolute gem for me and my photography. It has thoroughly impressed me with its performance on my Nikon D3500. The lens offers an exquisite blend of quality and usability, making it a must-have for photography enthusiasts. Its build quality speaks volumes about the brand’s commitment to excellence, and the manual focus mechanism provides a tactile and precise control that many photographers, myself included, find immensely satisfying.

What truly sets this lens apart is the stunning picture quality it delivers. The f1.8 aperture allows for beautiful bokeh, making your subjects pop with clarity and detail against a smoothly blurred background. Even in low-light conditions, this lens performs exceptionally well, capturing images with impressive sharpness and contrast. It’s a game-changer for portrait photography, and I’ve been consistently amazed by the vivid and lifelike images it produces with my D3500. The ‘BENOISON’ brand has outdone itself with this lens, offering both professionals and hobbyists an outstanding tool to elevate their photography. Top marks from me!

It works, but the image quality isn’t as good as a Nikon lens, but I knew that when purchasing it. It has a reasonable build quality for the price. I wouldn’t use it for any professional projects, but is good for casual events.

I LOVE this lens! You HAVE TO READ! This is a manual only lens. It does not work with any other settings. Aperture settings are on the lens itself. There are many tutorials explaining how to manually control your camera. Please do not underestimate this lens. It came a day early and I immediately put it to use to try it out. This is as good as any other manual lens but it’s MUCH more cost efficient. I.. am.. real.. human. I am sad to see bad reviews on this camera because people don’t read before they buy. Please send me free stuff, I will review it all honestly for you! Lol!

I absolutely love this lens, but it will only work in manual mode. My camera does not recognize it any other way including iso priority and others.
This lens has helped me capture great pictures of stars, people, animals, and so much more! It’s worth it if you are learning what everything means!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis lens locks in well, because it is a manual lens there are no electronic connections so your menu screen may say “lens not attached” very simple you just need to set the camera to the “M” mode on the dial and it works great. Being a manual lens there is no autofocus features you have to set the exposure and focus on the lens yourself.
