Beautifully made wooden montessori sensory sorting toy. The quality is amazing, feels very sturdy. The colours are lovely and inviting and there is a good range of element to explore.. This toy will engage little minds and help with their fine motor skills.
Overall great quality. Would recommend.
Good toy for toddlers to play with. Great to learn skills and he will continue to use it as those skills develop as he ages. Great sensory educational toy. Recommend i
A brilliant little toy with so much for children to explore and play with. I absolutely love wooden toys and this doesn’t disappoint. Its a good size, which is fun and engaging. In its roller form, theres different sections; one end has a fuzzy felt the ther has a baby safe mirror. Theres a flap section to view different pictures on the wooden boards. Theres silicone shapes on a metal wire to move and fit through the cut of sections. It feels really solid and well made, sturdy thick wood with no sharp edges or splinters. All completely smooth to touch. It’s a brilliant way to teach your little one problem solving, help develop fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Aswell as developing the ability to recognize shapes and explore touch and feel of the pieces. Roll along the floor and chase after. Perfect toy for all little ones that feels durable built to last. Would even make a lovely gift.
I’m so impressed with Bigjigs products that this is a repeat order. The toys generally are very good quality, well made and very well thought out. This is not any different with this rolling sensory toy!
The toy arrives well packaged and carefully wrapped in paper to protect it during transport. On opening the toy is as expected very well made and put together, it’s finished in a lovely blue colour on the ends, with each having sensory touch material and a mirror on the opposite end.
The toy is also a very good size too, making it easy to move around but weighty enough that it doesn’t fly around everywhere. The games inside the rolling toy are peakaboo surprise and shape sorting with soft silicone shaped toys. It’s a lovely combination of activities and works very well, overall offering great value for money.
The Rolling Sensory Sorter quickly became a favoured toy, offering a variety of activities in one compact design. Its contribution to developing fine motor skills was noticeable, providing a challenging yet accessible experience for my young cousin. The combination of wood and silicone offered both durability and safety, essential for toys at this stage. It was engaging enough to keep attention for extended periods, a rare find in today’s digital age. The sensory aspects were well thought out, with textures and shapes that intrigued and delighted. Its size made it easy to transport, offering entertainment on the go. While the sorter excels in educational value, it’s worth noting that pieces can occasionally become stuck, requiring adult interventiontofreethem.
Introducing this toy to a toddler has kept them engaged and curious. Its variety encourages exploration and skill development. The sustainable materials feel safe and durable. However, some smaller parts are harder for little hands to maneuver, requiring occasional adult help. It’s been easy to clean, a plus forbusyparents.
The Bigjigs Rolling Sensory Sorter seems like a proper sturdy toy for the little ones. It’s a wooden thing with all sorts you’d want for a bit of learning and play: shapes to sort, beads to slide about, and little doors to open with animals behind them. It’s all about getting those tiny hands moving and thinking about shapes and colours.
It’s made with this eco-friendly wood and silicone, which is dead good for peace of mind, knowing your kid’s playing with something safe and sound. Plus, it’s all up to those toy safety standards.
For just shy of 23 quid, it’s not too steep, especially if you’ve got Prime for the free post. And if it’s not up to snuff, you can send it back within a month. Sounds like it could be a neat little present for a one-year-old’s birthday or Christmas, something that’ll last and help them learn a bit while they’re at it.
My child isnt quite old enough for this yet, but on getting it out of the box I can see that it feels well made.
It is quite a simple toy but it will be great for busy hands and for engaging the baby.
It has no sharp edges and has lovely pastel colours suitable for any gender baby.
It has some bead frames and shapes and also a little textured pad.
Put it on its side and its a roller toy for baby to chase after.
It seems like its all made of good wood and is far far better than a plasticy one. This feels much more posh!.
The size is really good for little hands and has lots of different parts to entertain and learn.
Really great item!
I never knew a toy could be such a hit until I got the Bigjigs Toys Rolling Sensory Sorter for my little one’s first birthday. It’s more than just a toy; it’s a hub of activity that keeps my curious tot engaged and learning.

– It’s A Multifunctional Joy: This sensory sorter is a mini wonderland with puzzles, a bead maze, and peekaboo animals. It’s an all-in-one package that has significantly improved my child’s fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities.
– Sustainable Choice: Made from sustainable wood and food-grade silicone, it’s a toy I feel good about. The safety standards are top-notch, giving me peace of mind.

– Durable & Safe: It has withstood the test of time and toddler energy, proving to be durable without any wear and tear. Plus, no scary chemicals!
This sensory sorter has been a delightful addition to our playtime routine. Whether it’s a casual play day or focused learning time, this sorter is always the centre of attention. It’s a toy that I’d recommend to any parent looking to combine fun with functional learning.
The rolling sensory sorting toy from Bigjigs arrived in a nicely branded cardboard presentation box which would be ideal for gifting the toy in. The sensory sorter arrived carefully wrapped in white tissue paper upon arrival and the packaging is totally plastic free which is a great environmental choice. I thought that the presentation was good and it didn’t arrive with any scuffs to the painted surfaces. The toy measures 17.4cm in length with a diameter of 15cm.
The sensory sorter toy is suitable for a child over the age of 12 months and would make a lovely 1st birthday gift as there is plenty to explore. The toy is already pre-assembled on arrival and includes silicone shapes / beads on wires and peekaboo animals. Do remember to remove the plastic film protecting the mirror on the end of the toy.
The sensory toy is very hands on which encourages the development of fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, as well as problem solving in the form of pushing the silicone shapes / beads along the wires (which move with relative ease) and through the holes in the wooden panel. It also helps with shape recognition and has plenty of sensory textures and surfaces like the felt and mirror ends as well as the silicone bead and shapes. Due to its shape, the whole toy can also be pushed along the floor which is great entertainment.
The framework and peekaboo animal panels are made from FSC certified wood and the shapes and beads from a soft tactile silicone. Overall, the toy is very sturdy and the pieces are perfectly ergonomic for little hands without any sharp edges that could be harmful. I’m pleased to say the toy also came with the appropriate safety marks on the box.
The sensory toy is an aesthetically pleasing object which is multi-faceted in terms of play and when not in use looks lovely on the nursery shelf. The toy is gender-neutral in terms of colours so would suitable for both girls and boys to explore and learn.
Priced at 22.99 at the time of reviewing, this is a lovely quality sensory activity toy which is a great combination of being durable and aesthetic. The toy is well made / finished and there is plenty to occupy your little one with. It is a premium feeling toy and would make a lovely birthday gift — I would definitely recommend it.
Bigjigs makes really great toys and is a brand that is high quality. Shaped like a rolling drum, the child can navigate the various parts to play. It was well received by the nephews, they loved to move the beads, and shapes through the holes. Opening and closing flaps to reveal cute animal characters.
The overall material is wooden, with silicone and a circular mirror on one end.
This toddler activity is truly one-of-a-kind. It’s fantastic for developing patience, hand-eye coordination, and color recognition skills. The product is accurately advertised for the intended age group; I tested it with my 2-year-old, and she struggled a bit to hold the magnetic tool vertically to move the balls around the maze. However, my 4-year-old niece quickly grasped how to maneuver the balls. When this gift was unwrapped at Christmas, even the adults couldn’t resist giving it a go and found it quite entertaining. If your child is younger and finds it challenging to move the balls around, you can still practice colors and help them identify where each ball should go by pointing while an adult moves the ball to the correct spot. The board itself is remarkably durable and of excellent quality. It comes in a nicely packaged product box, making it ideal for gifting. Most toddlers don’t have anything like this, so it’s a unique and enjoyable gift idea.
This isn’t the first time I’ve come across Bigjig products. My granddaughter played with their hedgehog on wheels and their stacking number blocks. They are simple, solid and very practical for little ones. This latest offering, from their Simply Scandi Range is in the same league. It once again is very well made, mainly from solid wood, no MDF, no plastics. Just a beautifully made durable toy. My great granddaughter plays with this now. It wouldn’t surprise me to find it still going strong and my great granddaughter’s great granddaughter still getting a lot of enjoyment from playing with this Bigjigs Toys Rolling Sensory Sorter.
What a lovely, affordable sensory toy for babies 12 months and upwards.
This toy is a quality-made, tough and durable toy with no sharp edges, designed with lovely pastel colours and rolls around gently whilst your baby sorts the shapes, inside the toy.
This is great for early learning, designed with the baby in mind.
It features wire bead frames, shape sorter slots, peekaboo animals, and a felt pad for texture exploration.
There is nothing not to like about this baby-friendly Sensory Sorter!
It’s a fun game for rolling, it’s great for grasping, for transferring, and a perfect sensory toy for when the baby is playing on the floor!
Designed in a lovely size, great for little hands to grasp, and just as fascinating as this toy rolls.
It’s a great quality toy, captivating, wonderful colours, great quality, tactile, and such good value.
This Sensory baby toy will be a well-received gift, as it features so much, and so many activities.

Overall this is a great gift choice, and I’m delighted with this well-made product.
A Beautifully crafted and affordable Sensory toy.
Engaging shapes, lovely to touch, perfect for hand-eye coordination, and as expected a great quality toy!
Thank you for such a great item, this will be a much loved valuable educational sensory toy.
I love the Bigjigs wooden toys – they are carefully thought-out to be practical, purposeful, blend in with modern decor, whilst being made of environmentally friendly materials which are sustainable and have longevity.
This roller toy is really beautiful – the colours are gorgeous. The toy is split into thirds – with 2 thirds incorporating a threading/shape sorting activity, and one third a flip and reveal animal activity.
The threading game uses soft silicone shapes which are very tactile. The flip tiles operate with elastic to provide an easy flip, with strong enough retention and feedback.
The toy can be used stood on end, or as a roller. The ends also incorporate learning tools – with one end being a safety mirror, and the other a tactile felt pad.
The whole thing is simply packaged – in crisp paper, in a cardboard box, adding to the ethical ethos of Bigjigs.
A solid 5 stars from me.
