This is the second one I’ve bought. Purchased this one for the wife’s car I already have one in mine. Had previously fitted Garmin but they don’t last. Great all round dash cam.
Literally took me 30 minutes to install the DR590X using the Connecta X OBD cable that I purchased separately on Amazon (18). Once you connect the camera using the BlackVue iOS app and have a play with the settings it’s great. Particularly like how discrete this camera is, mine is tucked away behind the drivers mirror on my Mercedes, friends have commented that it looks like a factory fitted component and part of the car. Parking mode is superb and even more peace of mind and as an added bonus. Great little dashcam, highly recommended (don’t forget the Connecta X OBD cable).
Great for HGV’s easy to attach would recommend buying a 256 GB card for it as it will fill up the card quickly night vision to be expected clear if on lit roads but not so good on unlit streets.
These are by far the best cameras on the market for quality and value. The camera comes complete with the following; cigar socket power lead / hard wire power kit / SD card. If you use the cigar socket lead you will need the blackvue magic box to control the parking mode but if you hard wire it you won’t need the magic box as you can turn on the low voltage protection in the settings for the camera.
I read numerous reviews of dash cams on the market prior to purchasing this front cam. It is a little more expensive but camera picture quality is far superior and pound for pound , i would say, is the best on the market for below 150. It’s compact size is also a bonus as i hate the larger square cams that obscure windscreen views and are off-putting when driving. The adhesive contact to the windscreen is good and i concealed the cabling smoothly into the ceiling head liner, down the passenger door post and under the passenger car mat to the rear 12v lighter socket. Slight issue getting the cam to connect to the house wifi to review images from the car but that’s as the password given requires no spaces unlike the manual which does have spaces – anyway all sorted even for my small brain…. excellent product so far.
