My favourite game of 2023 that I’ve been following the development of since the start, this game is vibrant and fun, and the developers have made an amazing product, extra praise for the graffiti stickers that came in the case which I was not expecting!
Heard about the Jet Set Radio that’s coming then this game is a must buy to play while we wait, brings back tons of nostalgia with it’s gameplay and visuals and is a great game in it’s own right too.
Fenomenal de framerate etctera juegazo y sali antes del anuncio de Sega en los Game Awards del “Remake” de Jet set Radio es como volver a la poca de Dreamcast y encima en porttil
A beautifully crafted love letter to the Jet Set Radio series. Captures the y2k aesthetic and atmosphere perfectly, distilling it down into the cleanest package possible. Every element of the game has been tailored to fit this niche and it nails it
The soundtrack is just as infectious as it’s spiritual predecessor and is worthy of spinning all on its own
The developers deserve every ounce of support for this endeavour. A real ‘hold my beer moment’ in the face of bigger studios and a lesson that should be learned. If they won’t make the game the fans want, eventually the fans will make it for themselves.
As an added bonus, there are vinyl cut graffiti stickers included in the game case – a much appreciated touch that communicates the appreciation of the team involved and provides extra added value to the physical package
9/10 (-1 for the shattering realisation that I first played JSR two decades ago and therefore, must now be considered old…)
