CAMECHO Wireless Carplay Android Auto Portable Car Stereo, 7” 1080P Touchscreen Car Radio with Airplay Autolink GPS Sat Navi FM EQ Bluetooth Aux-inUSB+Backup Camera for 7-32V Ca
Fitted this to my i10. The unit itself works Ok, the camera is not too snappy, has quite a good image. The touchscreen is not the most responsive but for the price it’s ok. Might consider buying a more expensive unit later on. The wireless music using a radio frequency works ok , playing through the radio. However you will loose TA traffic announcements, the radio will try to auto tune to another station. On my car the camera would only work using a relay to switch on when in reverse. So I had to provide another 12v supply for the camera. All in all for the price it’s worth it.
Let me start by saying that it works in terms of providing directions through waze or google maps. The only issue is the sound quality which even though can be tuned…the sound still isnt the very best. If you only care about directions and messages then its perfect for you.
I bought this because of price. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality. Really good. I would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced unit. Comes with everything you need including a choice of mounting brackets. Fitted and up an running in less than five minutes. I use on apple carplay as I have an iPhone. Did not fail to connect once. Thanks for a really good product.
In the very short time I’ve had it (about 3 hours) I’ve had a play and really like it. Now comes the problem, without the suction mount I really can’t use it. I’ve seen other VERY similar products come with the suction mount but this one chose not to and in my van the dash is very far away, so unfortunately it’ll have to go back. I’ll have to keep on looking.
When this arrived, I was very impressed..
Clear responsive screen.
So easy to connect to the phone and car head unit.
Android auto connected well.
After a small issue with the unit the company reached out to sort it.
Can’t fault them.
Bought this as the satnav in my 2014 MG is well out of date, and the bluetooth connection to my phone only works for calls.
My work van has Apple Carplay, and I wanted this for my car.
This little device does the trick nicely. Pairing it to my phone was really easy, and now Carplay starts up every time I start the car. Takes just a few seconds to load up, and away we go.
I originally connected it via the AUX cable, but the interference was horrible. Not sure if that’s this unit, the cable or my car at fault with that one, but switching to the FM transmitter has solved the problem, and the audio is nice and clear.
I can now have Waze navigation running, alongside either Spotify or Audible, depending on what I am listening to, and, so far, I’ve not had any problems.
There are some comments about the screen being a little too bright at night and not having an auto-dim option. In the settings, there is an option to turn the brightness up or down depending on the time of day, and while this isn’t auto-dimming, should do the job. Personally I have it at a fairly low brightness level all of the time, and don’t have any problems seeing it in daylight, and it isn’t too distracting at night either.
Considering that this model was one of the cheapest currently available on Amazon, I am impressed with how well it performs.
