Finally got the courage to trim my indoor cats nails (he dont like being held)
I used the crocodile clip on the back of the neck method which immobilised him. My daughter then held him and I was able to trim all 4 paws in under 30 seconds.
Easy to use, super sharpe and fool proof. I’ve never trimmed a cats nails before! Super happy I won’t have to fork out 15 every 6 weeks!
My dogs are getting old so getting to need for nail trim is hard so decided to try at home. Performance was good easy to use nice and sharp and comfy to hold. Nice colour blue to appearance wise exactly like the picture .
I’ve used many varieties of claw clippers for my dog, often ones more expensive from pet shops. Often I find them to be a bit flimsy, poor build quality and made with cheap materials.
This set however, I can more than recommend. It’s the only set of claw clippers I’ve used in this price range that seemed solid and that it didn’t place unnecessary stress on me or the dog whilst using them.
Other clippers flex and feel flimsy so make it more difficult to clip the dogs claws. These have been fantastic and have allowed me to make the process as painless as possible for the dog.
The fact it also comes with a file is really nice as you can stop the trimmed claws from scratching your floors etc.
I would highly recommend this as a quality set of clippers to use.
I was a bit unsure about doing this my self as my cats are old and grumpy but decided I would try as they don’t go out side anymore and aren’t interested in scratching posts. So pleased I did, my eldest cat has got so long it must have been painful to walk, she hated having them done but after a few attempts we got there and she seem less grumpy. The other cat just sat back and let it happen. Over and one in just a few minutes. So eay to use.
Having lost my last pair of nail clippers I decided that it was time to buy a new pair before my dog started winning competitions for “the longest nails ever”. These work well enough. They certainly cut my dog’s nails. But it feels harder to cut through than my previous pair. I don’t know if they’re more blunt, or perhaps stiffer? I also notice that the “guard” allows for a lot more of the nail to be cut off at once than my previous pair. That was fine this time, but I do wonder if it’s in the right place when doing a quick maintenance cut.
Nice bright colour therefore are easy to find in a hurry.
