I love these. I ordered 50cm and 30cm ones. My drill was too big to use for the thinner ones, as the angle was a bit awkward, but overall it’s so worth it. I’m going to buy more because I’ve realised one of my cupboards can fit 3 drawers. The pan cupboard could be 4 drawers but I’ll keep it at 2 for now.
German design – they provided good screws and more than needed. Very very happy!
Don’t be afraid to buy this product. I honestly thought they would be flimsy as they were well below the price I was quoted when buying the kitchen but they are really good quality, easy to install, well packed and have a smooth action on opening.
GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT REALLY STRONG CONTRUCTION . ORDERED ENOUGH FOR 5 CUPBOARDS THAT’S 15 STRONG DRAWERS WITH VERY STRONG RUNNERS !!!!
IMPRESSIVE CUSTOMER CARE FROM “ELLEN” AT THE COMPANY, CONTACT DUE TO COURIER LET DOWN . BUT ALL SORTED BY CUSTOMER CARE AT COMPANY.
BRILLIANT PRODUCT AND BRILLIANT CUSTOMER CARE. BRILLIANT COMPANY !!!!
Very pleased with these baskets I will be buying me for other cabinets. Reasonably easy for my husband to instal. No more losing thongs at the back of the cupboard. I think they are good value compared to other similar products.
I bought a 4 pack of these for around 85, making them a little over 20 each, you can’t even get close to that price anywhere else ! So what’s the catch, there isn’t really one, the baskets are very sturdy, 5mm wire rims, 4mm wire wire frame and 3mm wire bottom, all the spot welds are good and the chrome plating looks good. The pullout slides are pretty standard and more than strong enough for use in a kitchen, overall, for the price I paid, I’m super happy and super impressed, easy to fit and excellent quality, considering the price.
A tip for fitting them, assemble everything, put them in the cupboard and mark the holes, take them back out, then when you pre-drill the holes, drill them on the very top of the position you marked the holes, this will give the basket a few millimetres of clearance from the bottom of the cupboard.
You can, and I have, mounted two of these with the pullout slides horizontally under the basket, they work just as well, but definitely don’t load them up with heavy stuff, the slides are not made to be loaded this way, so will be significantly weaker, but it worked fine in the bottom of my double sink unit, just watch the weight.
Let’s address some of the not so good reviews issues.
1. It’s not the stated size, the size relates to the standard cupboard it will fit, e.g. 500mm is the outside width of the cupboard it will fit, you will lose some internal space due to the rails, a 500m unit has a usable basket size of 380mm wide, 430mm long and 130mm deep, due to the design some space is lost, at the sides and the back, a little more than other brands, but they are literally half the price.
2. They are stiff to slide in and out, this is down to your fitting, the side brackets are adjustable width wise, loosen the two screws, move the brackets in towards the basket and tighten them back up, they will slide in and out much more easily.
3. One of the slides fell out, again this is due to the above or when you reassembled the slides after fitting, you did not slide the track back in correctly and missed the slot.
4. The basket arrived bent, one of mine was slightly bent on one corner, however from the look of the box, “someone” had clearly dropped the box on the corner, the baskets are very sturdy, so it was a struggle to bend it back, but unless the carrier plays volleyball with your package, it should be fine.
TLDR: 50% cheaper than others if you buy 4, good quality, easy to fit, not perfect but perfectly acceptable, would recommend.
This review is for the CASARI Pull Out Telescopic Kitchen Drawer, 50 Centimetres model. The 50 cm refers to the outside width dimension of the kitchen cabinet. The inside dimension of a 50cm cabinet is around 46.4 cm and the basket and runners fit this smaller inside width. There is some minor width adjustment on the runners so the whole drawer plus runners will fit a width of 46cm to 47cm. The usable part of the drawer is 39cm wide by 43cm deep so you do lose quite a lot of shelf space inside of the kitchen cabinet however, in my opinion, this is more than compensated for by the drawer completely sliding out to the front of the cabinet. No more reaching to the dark recesses of a cabinet to get something at the back, that probably went out of date a year ago. 🙂
The basket and runners are fairly heavy duty and I can believe that the basket could hold 20Kg (44lb), assuming the load is evenly distributed. All component parts appear well made and sturdy.
When fitting just plan what you are doing. I suggest remove the door from the cabinet. If you have an existing plastic coated chipboard shelf remove it and place it on the floor of the cabinet. When you later remove this chipboard shelf you will have enough clearance underneath for the basket to slide out on the runners. Place the assembled basket and runners on this shelf with the front of the basket just behind the leading edge of the cabinet. Using the old shelf this way ensures that both runners end up at the same height and the basket is level. Drill a pilot holes through the front mounting holes in the runner(s) and screw it into the side of the cabinet. Then drill pilot holes through the back mounting holes and screw the back of the runner(s) to side of the cabinet. The sparse instructions indicate one screw at the front and two at the back. With the heavily laden basket fully extended the back of the runner will want to rise, hence two screws to support it.
You shouldn’t have to remove the basket or runners to drill the holes and screw it in although there is only a small gap in which to get the drill bit and screw in. You may/will have to magnetise the screwdriver to hold the screws when positioning them. Finally slide out the chipboard shelf and discard.
If fitting a second slide out basket above one in the bottom of the cabinet again first fit the chipboard shelf, lay the assembled basket and runners on top of this old shelf and repeat the fitting procedure.
Fitting two baskets took me around 30 minutes. You will need a drill, a suitable drill bit and a magnetised cross head screwdriver.
Really sturdy, and easy to install, one managed to come without it’s screws, but the company sent replacements and I had them within the week, makes organising the shelves in my cavernous cupboard a dream I can see everything.
Shelves don’t sag at all even when filled with tins, only drawback is you can’t see the labels if you stand the tins up but a marker pen makes it easy to write in the tin what it is, so you don’t have to keep lifting them up. I now love my cupboard, before there was such a lot of wasted space and stuff on top of other stuff making it hard to find anything.
They are simple, in so much as they only have 2 screws per slider, however actualy installing them inside a kitchen cabinet, thats on the floor, up against other cabinets with only space for 1 person to work inside, they are very difficult to fit.
The screws are not magnetic, so they infuriatingly wont stay on the screwdriver bit, i ended up sticking blutack to it but they still fell off repeatedly.
The 2 surfaces are both smooth so it slides all over the place and its so greasy and sticky its difficult to hold onto anything without it all moving all over the place, plus theyre heavy. I cant hold the level and the screwdriver and the screw and the slider all with 2 hands and the inside of a cabinet does not afford the space for 2 people )even if I did have someone to help), esspecialy when i already had my legs crunched up against it and struggling to reach inside.
I think it poped a few blood vessles fitting these 3, and ive got a set of 4 to go in another cabinet to do yet!#
Magnetic screws would really help here, but there has to be a better way, a bit of something like rubber tape on the back of them so they dont slide around on the cabinet while your trying to screw them in would be a start.
Thrilled to bits with these pull out shelves. This larder type cupboard is high up and was hopeless before as I couldn’t see what was at the back or access it without taking everything out first. Now I can access everything easily and pull each basket out independently unlike my other larder unit. Easy to install too.
The draws were narrower internally than expected so I couldn’t get as much in them as I was expecting. They were easy to fit. Despite ensuring the runners were level due to play on the rollers one of the draws creeps forward and the draw mechanisms don’t seem to be as robust as previous draw sets I have bought elsewhere. Despite this overall they do the job and are a good value price and delivered quickly arriving before the estimated date, which was appreciated.
I grew tired of rummaging through my kitchen cupboard to find one item, and causing me back pain. The product has a good quality deep drawer, and although the instructions were vague, I eventually figured it out. I would suggest using an electric drill for installation, as it can be a bit tricky. Overall this is a helpful rental hack that’s portable or suitable for older kitchens.
We’ve recently had a new kitchen fitted but we made a mistake in not ordering enough drawers for cutlery and odds and ends. Having drawers put in retrospectively was very expensive and disruptive.
Bought 4 of these in different sizes so far.
These drawers were the answer and were the perfect solution. They are robust and well-made.
They’re a touch fiddly to install in the confines of a cupboard but not that difficult. They are also a bit stiff on the runners.
My only real gripe is that it would be good if they supplied a liner for the drawers to stop small items dropping through the bars. I’ve bought some separately and that does the job nicely.
