Bought this to put on my son’s new and expensive mountain bike so we can track it should he have it nicked. It probably doesn’t need saying but you will need to buy the tracking tag to put in it.
Being able to track things these days with small tags like the Aigtags or Chipolo is great, and this mount is so inconspicuous when fitted and fits where every bike has the bottle mount. I much prefer it to the ones that put the tag in the handlebar. So far it’s still waterproof, not that it’s a massive deal with these tags but it does exactly what it claims to do.
Would I buy again? Yes, I’m going to have to get 3 more for our other bikes.
Easy to install and gives a great looking, professional finish. It’s completely waterproof, even after a few shocks. It blends in well and looks like part of the bottle assembly.
I have a couple of bicycles but my pride and joy is my Trek 920, and I would be gutted if it got stolen, so this CITYWAY AirTag mount will come in handy should my bike get nabbed. Once installed, the CITYWAY mount is fairly inconspicuous and doesn’t add noticeable weight to my bike. It was straightforward to install, taking less than a couple of minutes to remove my existing bike bottle cage, insert the AirTage attach the CITYWAY mount to the bike, and replace the bottle cage.
I have been using this now for over a week (I used my bike for commuting and leisure), in some pretty appalling weather (heavy rain) and the tag has been kept dry thanks to the quality rubber seal.
Hard to fault, and at the time of review is it 10.99 which is excellent value for money.
This is easy to install. They give you an Allen key and bolts to fit the bottle holder holes which are longer than the standard ones to allow for the depth of the AirTag holder. I needed a different Allen key to remove the original ones. You simply place the rubber seal and AirTag inside and put it on the bike below the bottle holder. The bolts fit through both. A great way to be able to locate your bike if stolen, I guess until crooks know about them, although I guess they don’t carry Allen keys around with them. This may be obvious but you do need to buy an AirTag separately.
This is a brilliant solution for hiding your Airtag on your cycle. My bike is not super expensive, but for the price of this mount plus an Airtag, it’s well worth the investment.
I’m sure cycle thieves are aware that people are now hiding Airtags on their cycles, but this mount looks so genuinely part of the cycle I’m not sure they will ever notice it.
Of course being able to track your route, and knowing when your other half is coming home is also quite nice!
This hidden AirTag bike mount is made of robust ABS composite and PC materials and hence lasts for a long time. It is even scratch-resistant With a sleek design, black screws, and a hidden location on the bike, which is a great stealth option against theft. It has an IP68 waterproof rating and is protected by a waterproof ring, and hence there’s no worry of damage from rain or while the bike is being cleaned. The simple mounting process, and included security features give us a secure fit as well as rattle-free attachment for our AirTag. The package includes AirTag Holder Case, a waterproof ring, ultralight security screws, and a small wrench to tighten them with.
All in all, I’m very with this product and hence is surely recommended.
I’ve had a few of these Airtag bike mounts now, as the tags are basically the best way to recover your stolen kit at this point (remove the beeper though!).
These are considerably more robust than some of the first generation 3D printed variety (which all cracked and shattered over time) and this has a good rubber o-ring to keep out the muck and rain – Unlike some of the other close-fitted plastic versions, this does keep the moisture out once you’ve tightened the screws. The included security torx screws and driver are a good help, as they’re not something you always have to hand.
A good buy.
Fits perfectly, there really isn’t much to say about this.
It is two pieces of plastic with 2 screws. As long as the screws line up, there really isn’t much that can go wrong. The wholes do line up absolutely fine. It even has a little O ring to keep the air tag dry in the rain.
The ONE thing I don’t like.. although I also get why they did it… They are not Phillips head screws or even hex screws, they are a security screw. I want to say a Torx screw? that may be wrong but they are the security screw that not that many people with have on them. Which is the point, it is a security screw.
They do provide a little security key that is the same size and shape of an Alan Key to open and fit it.
Also, a little on the pricey end for 2 pieces of plastic but it works exceptionally well, it is not noticeable on the bike so works exactly as intended.
For a bit of added bike security this is great. It’s really easy to fit (comes with all you need to do so) and you’d not know it was there, so not drawing attention to it (you don’t want a potential thief to realise you have a tracker on your bike!). Keeps water away from the Tag too. Lightweight, if you’re worried about adding extra weight to your bike. Doesn’t rattle or move. Fair price.
My air tag had previously flopped around in the bag so seeing this was a great opportunity to fix it to the bike instead. The bottle holder obviously sits a little proud of the frame after installation, but it’s not unsightly. You could also fix it without the bottle holder if you have two spaces on your frame. Signal from the tag works fine after installation too.
The Cityway AirTag mount is straightforward to fit, the AirTag being sealed between the two parts with an o-ring and assembled under my bottle cage with the supplied torx security fixings. The wrench for assembly is included (although it’s worth noting that these are readily available – I have a set for my BMW motorcycle).
Once installed it’s rattle-free and the neat design makes it quite inconspicuous; obviously this isn’t the ultimate security device, but it will provide some peace of mind.
It’s not inexpensive, but seems to be competitively priced against similar products.
I have got a nice Specialised and I have always been worried about it getting nicked, I opted for this as I saw that you could hide it behind the bottle cage and looked decrete enough to not get noticed.
The units shell is made entirely of plastic. The plastic is thick enough to feel sturdy but also lightweight! The plastic is used to allow the AirTag to transmit a signal, I have had no issues with the find my phone app being able to find the airtag while its been installed. The unit sits snuggly to the frame and there is no rattle.
The gasket works great, I have rinsed the bike down to test to see if any water got in, I made sure to give the unit a good soaking. While a little got in around the bolts, the AirTag stayed bone dry!
I really like this product. It is really simple to use. Just separate the two halves, insert an AirTag, put back together, remembering to insert the the rubber gasket ring and attached it to the bike under the water cage using the security bolts provided. The holder itself is made of plastic and is very low key and does not stick out on the bike. You would not really know it was there unless you knew to look for it. A really good simple product.
This AirTag mount comes with the case, rubber o-ring, special hex key and two bolts. The case was very easy to install under my bottle holder and the little rubber ring provides assurance that my AirTag will survive when my bike gets wet. It is very discreet so I don’t think thieves will notice it when stolen which improves the chances of recovery by tracing it on the “Find My” app. I was a little worried that the security key would be proprietary and thus hard to replace, however a Torx screwdriver I have lying around also worked on the bolts. The case feels very sturdy and should be able to take a few knocks too. All in all very happy with this product which is a perfect solution for its purpose.
A rather novel idea. You can hide an Airtag under the bottle holder. It may not be discovered straight off by the savvy clued up bike thieves of today – allowing you to track your stolen bike for a while at least
Securing screws are TORX type head- not everyone has this tool on them.. guess a lot of professional bike thieves do though.
This is quite a small holder and is unobtrusive by size. Seems well made from quality materials too.
This is a decent product. It feels adequately well made and does the job it is intended for. So far, the compartment has remained watertight. As with other similar products, the bolts need the security hex key to remove.
Overall a decent product, but we have another version that seems as good and is a couple of pounds cheaper.
This is a simple and straightforward AirTag holder; it’s advertised as being ideal to fit under the water bottle cage on the bike. I was able to fit it under the saddle – that worked equally well for me.
Recommended.
It’s a simple yet functional design airbag holder for your pedal bike, comes complete with o-ring so hopefully will keep most of the water out if it rains.
Comes supplied with torx head button screws of decent length, approx 1″ length, finished in black, and a torx key to fit them with. Instructions included, but it’s very simple, the airbag can only fit in one way, the holder won’t close if you fit the air tag upside-down.
What’s nice too is that with both halves together and airbag inside, it doesn’t rattle, it’s held snug between the 2 halves.
I tried fitting it to the downtube where i carry my pump, but due to this holders flat/wide design it wouldn’t sit flush under my pump bracket(photo 6), i installed it anyway just to show a photo of it to see how inconspicuous it looked. Tbh, it was obvious something was fitted there, so i removed it.
Next I fitted it on the seat tube bottle holder mount, under the bottle cage like it’s designed for, and had no issues with it in this position and it didn’t look obvious either. Especially with a bottle in the cage you’d be none the wiser.
Overall a great idea to hide an airtag, the design works fine with a bottle cage like its intended, you could add a few washers under a bike pump bracket like my first location so it sits flat and then fit it, or another idea, use 2 cable ties(one through each hole of the holder to keep the halves together) then hide it in a tool bag, under the seat or under a pannier rack.
good AirTag Bike Mount, well made and made of sturdy plastic and very simple to assemble (I would have preferred it to be metal but that’s fine, at least rust problems are avoided)
I have put an AirTag on my bike but the tag holder has been a bit obvious
This being placed under the bottle holder hides it much better so that it looks to be part of the bike furniture
The fact that it uses screws that aren’t normal headed makes it less likely that someone trying to remove it can do so easily
