I’m not quite sure how, but Creality have made PETG almost as easy and reliable to print as PLA.
If you have an Ender or any printer using PTFE tubing in the hot end, this filament will get you the best results because it’s sweet spot sits right around 228-230C- coinciding with the safe zone of PTFE tubing.
It is surprising how little stringing I get with this filament at 230C. Bed and layer adhesion have been absolutely phenomenal- but I run my bed at 90C through the lifetime of the print.
The filament comes air packed with very little moisture- but I still have it rest at least overnight if not 24h inside my dry box ( a big tub with a bunch of silica gel packets from other filaments).
Color on all the different filaments has been phenomenal- and the finish comes right back after sanding and a quick blast from a heat gun.
Performance wise, I haven’t had any issues pushing this filament at high volumetric flow (20-24mm3/s)- though it does prefer to run at lower speeds.
I found around 200mm/s max with your usual slicer speed scaling for outer walls, works quite well. With my highly modified Ender, I have my max accel set to about 4K and get consistently good quality.
If you to print great functional parts with this PETG, I would highly recommend using a 0.6 nozzle to get more volumetric flow.
Cooling wise- I don’t run the fans at all and it works well.
Spools are a little flexy for my taste, so make sure to get good alignment on your rollers.
Overall, I’m shocked how easy this filament is to print with
Very good quality printer, pretty simple to put together. and prints well with basic slicer settings. Once you manage to get the finer settings sorted it will produce superb results that should last you a long time with proper maintenance.
Another great printer from Creality. I can highly recommend it for both experts and beginners. With the Klipper operating system it prints fast and accurately right out of the box. Works well with Orca and Creality Print slicers. No issues with the printer so far and I don’t expect any.
Only problem I had was being double charged by the seller, I had to go to my payment source to resolve it, still waiting for a resolution.
I’ve only had this printer for a short time, but I have thrown multiple prints at it and had zero issues with it. The unboxing and assembly took about 15-20mins. I will start by saying that the assembly was just the gantry; a few cable connections later, and you are all set. There is a video and installation guide provided by Creality, which are helpful. I cannot believe that assembly took just 15 minutes. I am coming from an Ender 3 V2, which requires additional assembly and typically takes about an hour and thirty minutes. The auto-calibration and the auto-z offset required no intervention from me, so this was the perfect definition of plug-and-play.
After setting up the printer, I said, “The caveat is going to be a sub-par print performance.” However, that caveat never came, and the printer has been flawless. The benchy/boat stl file on the USB flash drive was printed for me in 20 minutes, and the quality was absolutely acceptable for how comically fast it printed. Next, I decided to try another print that requires a bit of accuracy, a jointed reindeer. I did it at the same speed as the benchy, and it was done in 1 hour 21 minutes versus 3 hours 45 mins on the Ender V2. The reindeer printed at an acceptable quality, and all limbs worked without issue. I used the Creality Print high-quality profile for my last test print to print a bust. The bust finished in just 5 hours and 25 mins. I printed the same bust on my Ender 3 v2, and it took about 9 hours and 33 minutes. Overall, I know it’s pretty early, and I will update this review if anything crazy happens with the printer, but this is my favorite purchase of the year.
A good printer for under 200 as options to expand once you become experienced in using it.
It’s not got WiFi but uses SD card ,you can cable connect it to your PC ( not incl in kit)
Good community with Creality and lots of you info for this printer on YouTube which help me greatly
I got this printer to replace my End 3 Max that I’ve had for a few years. This printer prints really good quality right out of the box, thanks to its auto-bed leveling. I didn’t use to mind leveling the bed of my old printer, but this auto version makes things so much quicker and easier. The machine isn’t a lot louder than my moded fans on my End 3 Max, so I don’t think there is much of a need to change anything from stock. I would recommend this printer to anyone because there are a lot of printer for a small amount of money.
Got this from Amazon CREALITY-UK STORE. Works fantastic and very easy to set up. I used some Sun PLA and made a simple toothbrush holder. I am amazed it was so simple to do. Delivered by Amazon, fantastic delivery as usual. Had to give a code at the door which I liked as it added security to the delivery. Brilliant!
Easy to build for a novice, first time 3D printer user. Self levelling takes about 10 minutes the first tike you use it, but saves a lot of agrovation even if you think you table is level.
Its a fast and reliable printer, i have done over 50 hours of printing so far with only one failed print, PLEASE do your research on 3D printers and remember that there is in fact a HUGE learning curve to get into 3D printing and getting smooth prints, however that involves sanding or chemical smoothing but i must say that this printer has been perfect for me so far!
After seeing great reviews on Creality’s E3V3 SE printer I thought I would try one. Wow am I impressed. Of the ender 3 series printers I’ve owned since 2018, this was by far the easiest and fastest printer to assemble and do a first print with. 10 screws and plugging in 3 connectors and set the power supply to 115v I use, and it was ready to print with.
It has auto z offset and auto leveling. These are the 2 most critical settings many have trouble getting set correctly. Now it’s as simple as selecting it and pushing the display knob.
It also has dual Z belt synchronized rods that keep the print head level its full travel.
Even better, it comes with a dual gear direct drive extruder that can print soft flexible tpu filament with ease. I print soft cat toys a lot so a big plus.
Speed wise it can print up to 250 mm/ sec with 180 being best quality. Typical ender 3 speeds have been 50 mm/ sec in the past so this is a big plus!
It comes with the new Creality Print slicer program and other useful files on full a size sd card vs the typical mini version. So much easier to use. Also USB C that is also a big plus when you want to connect it to your computer or wireless printing interface devices.
There are some great in depth reviews to watch on YouTube that go into all the features.
As an owner of Creality printers since 2018 I can honestly recommend the E3V3 SE printer as a great first printer, or a fourth one as it is in my case. It’s easy to assemble and use and just “works”!
I want to thank Yoopai and Amazon I bought from for receiving the printer in excellent condition.
