Firstly when you receive electrical goods there is usually a clear plastic tab that is pulled to allow the use of, for example, a battery. On these batteries there IS a plastic tab with the word ‘UP’ and an arrow head. DO NOT pull the tab! It will unwrap the battery. DO NOT insert the battery as the arrow on the tab shows, it will be the wrong way up! Follow the instruction card carefully. (Clearly added as an afterthought).
It also says to insert the memory card and format it. It was already inserted and really had to find. It’s in the same compartment as the battery and impossible to see as it and the compartment are black. I eventually formatted the card.
There is NO instruction on how to attach the lanyard. I asked on here if it had a date stamp, it does. I asked how to attach the lanyard, the first 3 replies where about the date stamp, nothing concerning the Lanyard yet….
I’m 66 and eyesight is going but the instruction booklet (YES there is one IN ENGLISH!) is printed so small I can barely read it even with a magnifying glass! It does not say how to attach the lanyard.
I have yet to ascertain if the battery is charging (via my Mac) when the camera shuts down…..
DO NOT pull the lead out of the camera/PC/Mac without firstly switching ON the camera and then telling the PC/MAC to disconnect or you could damage the camera chip.
Simple issues easily resolved with a little thought, clearly missing. Packaging was 3 times the size of the camera. Well done Amazon for your concerns for the planet.

UPDATE. As far as I can see if the battery is removed the date and time might need resetting. Adding the lanyard is a task. Feed the thin end thru the small hole in the camera side and use a medium thick sewing needle to attempt to hook the loop of the thin end of the lanyard to pull it thru, it can take some time! No advice was forthcoming on here. The camera will charge the battery thru a PC and then turn off.
I was looking for a decent digital camera I came across this camera good thing I like about this camera Is it has usb c connecting meaning I can transfer images directly to my Samsung using usb c cable. Bonus points it also comes with 2 batteries, I carrying pouch and 64gb memory card. I have to say it bit pricy but worth every penny.
I love this camera! It’s nice and compact, fits easily in your pocket. The quality is amazing, can’t believe I’ve got a 4k camera for a good price. I definitely thought this camera would be a bit more pricey.
I wanted a good camera to use instead ofmalway relaying on my phone. This is a great camera, has lots of features that can be adjusted depending on the lighting. I wish it came with a higher memory SD Card.
