This is a nifty piece of equipment and very easy to use. I particularly appreciate having the cooking temperatures on the gauge. Perfect for either right or left handers as the display changes direction accordingly.
This is a great wee tool for checking how your food is cooking in the middle.
My only complaint is that I keep it in a drawer with lots of metal and the magnet on the side sticks to everything.
Does its job. it’s not very accurate when I test with the other 2 thermometers, it’s just minor discrepancy yet I need it to be as accurate as possible for what I am doing.
I found this so easy to use, and especially like that it turns on and off simply by unfolding and folding the probe. Easy wipe clean and folds neatly back in its box. I bought the purple one, and very happy with it.
Works very well except it broke after 3 months for no clear reason. Just stopped turning on. I’ve tried 3 different new battery’s but it won’t turn on.
However this could’ve been my fault, I may have broke it and not realised so I’ve given it 4 stars since when I did use it, it worked perfectly.
One battery lasted the entire 3 months as well.
Obviously this is also of use for checking temperature’s in gas/electric and microwave units. Neat foldable child safe ( to a certain extent ) unit with press button change from C to F cooking range.

Arrived on time and very easy to use, very accurate for getting cooked meat temperatures and always been accurate and with a magnet in the back you can stick to anything metal so always handy or put in drawer.
So pleased it’s in orange! Had a black one for a couple of years and replaced to match my decor

Exceptionally cheap and really easy to use. I checked this thermometer against a calibrated one and the temperatures displayed were exactly the same over a range of 10 temps from 140 degrees up to 180 degrees. Great value for money and good for peace of mind when barbecuing chicken and pork.
I use this device to measure the temperature of my aquarium water to make sure its ready to be transferred to the tank.
Pros:
-Readings are excellent. They’re precise, reliable and fast. The minimum and maximum readings being -50 degrees Celsius to 300 degrees Celsius is overkill for my needs but its definitely a bonus.
-Buttons to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit and set min/max temps are convenient.
-Hold button to pause at the current temperature is also handy.
-Auto-off: Great feature, preserves battery life by turning the device off automatically when you fold the needle back to its original position, housed in the device. Most of all, you don’t have to worry about turning it off.
-Easily stored: The fold-out needle makes it really simple to just pop into a drawer or even in your pocket if you need to keep it on your person whilst using it.
-Sturdiness: The fold-in/out mechanism for the needle ensures that the needle isn’t even slightly wobbly when penetrating objects.
-Thermometer still active until fully folded back in, allowing for a lot of different positions.
-Auto-rotating screen: This is a fantastic bonus that I didn’t expect. The screen will rotate 180 degrees whichever way you have it upright.
-Magnetic: It has a little magnet on the back to make it even easier to keep around.
Cons:
-Screen backlight timer: Goes off in about 10-15 seconds after you push the button. Can be annoying to keep pressing the button to light up the screen.
-Stiffness of fold-in/out mechanism: I feel like this could be smoother but honestly it helps to keep the needle sturdy when penetrating objects.
-Rattling: I thought my device had a broken piece of plastic or a loose ball baring inside at first as it was rattling at the slightest movement. Turns out that there is a warning sticker on the device as you can see in the attached pictures: “You may hear a rattling noise when you shake the thermometer because there is a gravity sensor inside”. The noise can be annoying but it’s really not that bad.
-Battery door comes loose quite easily, only takes a 45 degree turn for it to open but the battery stays locked in place which I can’t really fault.
Overall, it’s a great little device. My main gripe with it is that the screen backlight doesn’t stay on, I’d prefer an on/off switch or if it just stayed on the whole time. I’m still giving it 5 stars because it’s really simple to use and it does the job well. Worth it.
This is a handy item to have in the kitchen and so simple to use. Ready-to-go (it comes well-packaged and includes battery) the thermometer turns on once the probe is pulled outwards from its casing and automatically turns off once the probe is folded back into the closed position.
Having a clear, easy-to-read digital display (plus backlight), this is a brilliant gadget to help determine if the food item doesn’t just look cooked on the outside, but that it’s not undercooked or still raw in the middle. A boon particularly for owners of airfryers.
It easily switches between Centigrade and Fahrenheit by depressing the backlight/C/F button and waiting two seconds.
The ‘hold’ button may be of use to some people but reading the display whilst the thermometer is still inside the item I’m cooking is, however, sufficient for me. The magnet, also, isn’t for me but I can understand why this would aid storage for others.
Note: do NOT try to wash this item in either a bowl of water or dishwasher as it’s not waterproof — carefully handwash the probe after or between use.
All in all, a handy kitchen gadget at a great price.
Works perfectly for the price. I however have just realised isn’t very left handed friendly (tbf I didn’t expect it to be) unless you turn it round and can read upside down, but never the less, I like to believe I’m every so slightly ambidextrous ha.
