Can’t fault the price when compared to the equivalent Canon battery it claims to match. So basically that’s why 4 stars. But not 5? Because in an overnight astro photo test I found these could only take 580 shots vs 827 from the Canon original.
This comes at a fraction of the Canon product price, higher capacity and does offer a great way not to carry charger and power cables/adaptors along! But I cannot give you real-life usage yet. Will update if anything is not right.
Used in a canon 5d mk4 very useful extra batteries to my canon ones. They mean I never have to worry about running out of battery power. Charge quickly, hold the charge and power the camera for a few hours around 1200 images.
Like the fact you can charge these batteries from USB C, the main reason for their purchase as it negates having to have the mains charger when away. It also means I can charge them out in the field so to speak from any USB 5v source. I have charged them fully as the instructions advise but have not fully tested their power lasting ability under working conditions yet, time will tell on that. Overall they seem very well made and my Canon EOS 90D recognises them correctly. I can log them from within the camera as they provide a designated serial number as they should. They also work with the camera without any issues, so far. The added bonus of the double lead charging cable provided was also very welcome as you can charge them both if required at the same time. As I use a battery extension on my camera and power is therefore taken from both batteries fitted I am then able to charge them both when required in one go. Overall I would say these are a nice addition to your camera gear and give you that something extra of value to make your photographic experience easier and more functional.
Good quality LP-E6NH batteries from ENEGON made from good materials.
I have been using these for just under a month now on a Canon EOS 7D & 90D and so far I have had no issues they work as expected.
I mostly do photography and I have not really noticed a huge difference in the amount of shots I take between these and original Canon batteries, you would probably only really notice a difference and be affected by it if you are doing videography especially in 4K that would be using a more constant drain on the battery compared to my photography level.
The feature I really like about these is you can connect a USB-C cable directly into the port on the battery, this is a game changer means I can charge them using a power bank when I am on the go and I don’t need to take a separate charger with me. A supplied dual USB-C cable is supplied which is a nice touch.
You get two batteries in the pack, at a good price this is still cheaper than getting one original battery so you are saving money which is always a good thing.
Overall I am very happy with the LP-E6NH batteries and I would recommend them BUT this would depend if you are doing photography or videography.
The battery capacity is impressive at 2800mAh, providing plenty of power for extended shooting sessions. I’ve been able to capture countless photos and videos without having to constantly swap out batteries. The fact that it comes in a pack of two is also a big plus. It’s always handy to have a spare battery on hand, especially when I’m out and about shooting for long periods. The included 2-in-1 USB-C charging cable makes it easy to charge both batteries at the same time. The batteries fit perfectly in my camera and hold a charge for ages.
I was a little cautious when first trying these out. I switched dup to a EOS R6 Mk 2 recently and read the dire warnings about using non Canon batteries in the camera. It cost a lot of money so you always have that nagging doubt.
Out of the box, these charged really quickly which was the first positive. The OEM battery in a charging cradle does take longer to charge. That of course raises the question is the quicker charging mirrored in faster discharge and consequently fewer shots? I’m happy to say up to now, that’s certainly not the case. I know it is only anecdotal evidence, but I’ve noticed no difference between the OEM version and these.
So how would I sum these up? They’re cheaper than a single OEM battery, charge faster and seem to have the same capacity. What’s not to like? It’s always good to have plenty spare batteries in your bag and I’m certainly considering adding another 2 of these . Great value for money.
This replacement LP-E6NH battery offers enhanced charging convenience and versatility for Canon cameras.
With its direct-charging feature, using any USB-C/Type-C charging cable, users can charge two batteries simultaneously, eliminating the need for a dedicated charger. This flexibility is particularly useful for travel or outdoor work settings, where access to traditional charging outlets may be limited.
The 2-in-1 USB-C Charging Cable further enhances efficiency by allowing users to charge two batteries or any two USB-C devices at once. This feature eliminates the need to prioritize which device to charge first and ensures both speed and safety during charging. Additionally, the compatibility of the battery with various charging devices, such as laptops, portable chargers, car USB ports, and wall-mounted chargers, adds to its convenience.
Fully compatible with Canon EOS series cameras, including popular models like EOS 5D Mark II/III/IV, EOS 6D, EOS 7D, EOS 80D, and more, the LP-E6NH battery provides a reliable power source for extended shooting sessions. With a high capacity of 2800mAh and 7.4V/20.7Wh, it offers ample power for capturing approximately 1200 photos or longer video recording, ensuring users never miss capturing memorable moments.
Safety is prioritized with built-in multiple protections, including over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, over-temperature, and over-charge protection, ensuring the battery’s safe and reliable performance during normal use. LED indicators further facilitate easy monitoring of the charging status, with green indicating full charge and red indicating charging in progress.
Overall, the replacement LP-E6NH battery offers a practical and efficient solution for powering Canon cameras, providing users with extended shooting capability, convenience, and peace of mind regarding safety during charging.
Great pair of LP-E6NH batteries for my Canon camera, and though they aren’t official Canon products, they work just fine. The standout feature for me is the convenience of charging them on the fly. It means I can keep shooting without having to take my charger everywhere.
Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant to use unofficial batteries at first. There’s always that nagging worry about longevity and performance consistency. However, so far, these batteries have held up well, giving me no trouble during use.
Ultimately, having extra batteries is always beneficial for extended shooting sessions. While there’s some caution with non-official products, these LP-E6NH batteries have proven to be a solid option.
Batteries came simply packed in a plain cardboard box.
Box contained two LP-6 style batteries and a two-in-one charging cable.
Batteries have a built in USB C port for charging or can also be charged using a standard LP-6 charger.
Both batteries charged to full in under an hour using a USB C PD fast charger.
Tested in Edelkrone motion control equipment and batteries lasted as long as if not longer than the Canon originals.
I don’t own any Canon cameras that take this size of battery so cannot speak as to their performance used in this way.
However, for powering the Edelkrone equipment, the batteries are a good step up from other OEM LP-6 style batteries.
The benefit of the added versatility of being able to be charged using a conventional USB charger soon balances out the high initial cost!
These so far are amazing and for the USB-C charging alone I prefer them to OEM if I’m honest, capacity seems just the same and I’ve got zero compatibility issues so all in all, better batteries as I can charge these on the go on shoots, highly recommended.
It may be long in the tooth these days but my 5D MKII is still a very capable camera albeit a rather large one, something that is exaggerated by having to carry a charging cradle and cable whenever I take it anywhere overnight.
So anything that unburdens name is more than welcome and these do, USB direct charging should be a thing with every battery now, it is just so convenient and, as yet, I haven’t noticed any downsides.
A rather splendid addition to my camera bag!
These batteries are easy to charge via USB C and last longer than the standard ones. They have been accepted without issue in my 5D III and IV, so far so good. Recommended.
