Are these as good as the Sony OEM batteries? Nope. However, they are considerably cheaper and last a long time so overall, better value for money. I wouldn’t necessarily use these exclusively but my wife and I both have Sony A7IV cameras and use these as the extra batteries we carry when out and about.

They fit perfectly and there have been no issues with the camera not liking them or incompatibilities.

Overall, good extra batteries to have in stock when doing a days shooting.

This is one of those things that you wish someone had thought of before. I have an Sony A6000 as a backup/travel camera when I don’t want to take my full sized DSLR’s out, and wanted to get a spare battery for it when I came across these.

It’s such a well thought out idea and they’ve done a great job. The idea of plugging the battery into a USB charger is borderline genius and saves me having to chuck the actual charger into my suitcase/travel bag anytime I go somewhere. These can even be charged in the car using the USB ports whilst driving!

Camera had no issues with the batteries as I have had experience before with third party batteries not playing nice with the camera.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe ENEGON NP-FZ100 USB C Direct Charging Replacement Batteries proved to be a reliable choice for my Sony camera setup. Their 2280mAh capacity strikes a good balance between size and runtime, ensuring I can capture plenty of shots without worrying about battery life. The USB-C direct charging feature is incredibly convenient, especially when I’m traveling and want to minimize the number of accessories I carry. The included 2-in-1 cable adds further versatility. Overall, my experience with these batteries has been positive, and they’ve become an essential part of my photography gear, offering both quality and convenience.

I’ve been using these in my FX3. The great thing is you don’t get a warning about using third party batteries with them, and also they lasted around 3 to 4 hours each on a recent film shoot, which for the price is great! They give an accurate percentage, though it drops faster in the bottom part of it! The usb charging on the battery is a nice feature, but they work fine in the original Sony charger too, so I’ve been using that!

For the price, they’re a great produc

I tell you something, I’m pretty shocked how much space Sony Alpha batteries take up inside their casing when I see that there’s enough of a gap to fit a USB-C attachment as well!

Despite this battery mainly being compatible with slightly older cameras that take a previous generation of USB Micro connections to charge, such as my A7Sii, having a hybrid of a battery that takes modern connections is pretty nifty considering your older cables will have probably lost some adherence and are liable to disconnecting.

Supplied with the two batteries is a USB-A (works with USB ports on a computer, as well as wall adaptors) that split into two USB-C connectors, so you can charge them both off one cable simultaneously. Both batteries come roughly half charged, prior to you needing to charge them to full.

It should also be apparent that you can charge these in a Sony charging dock, or indeed in-camera if you need to, though the idea here would be to just use a cable and have more space in your bag by leaving the dock at home!

Other than that, they’re standard imitation Sony batteries allowing for longer trips away from a power outlet. Performance wise, first party Sony will always be the flag bearer and give the most accurate readings, though while the batteries are young, there’s been no noticeable difference (yet).

I never seem to have enough juice in my original Sony battery for my A7iv when I’m wanting to make a video, so these extras are a bit of a godsend.

They charge easily – even directly if you want to plug in a charging cable to them – and once charged they work in the camera and seem to last about as long as an original. I haven’t measure precisely, but frankly for the difference in price I wouldn’t care if I only got 50% of the life. Having multiple extra batteries on hand automatically makes it easier to get through a day’s shooting.

Brilliant idea to have the charging built into the battery! I can now even charge these in my car if I’m off on long trips, amazing.

The capacity is a little less than some other batteries I have for my Sony, but not drastically so, and I guess the charging circuit must take up a bit of battery space so well worth the sacrifice I think.

Build quality seems great, the fit well and look good quality wise. I’m really happy with them overall.

The ENEGON NP-F550 is very well manufactured and it feels just like Sony oem batteries. What I love mostly about these batteries is the fact that you can recharge them anywhere and everywhere with simple USB C port on the batteries. It comes with USB A type connector to double USB C type connector to enable you to charge both batteries simultaneously. I can plug the USB cable in my laptop while I’m working on the editing.

I can charge them using my Mobile power bank while on location. You don’t have to pack extra charger for batteries as any USB outlet will allow you to charge on the go. I am impressed with the quality and design each battery is rated at 2900mAh and 7.4V/21.5Wh, which will provide enough power for days shooting for Sony cameras but I don’t own a Sony Camera system. I do have Neewer RGB light Panels which utilise Sony NP-F550 and NP-F970 so I have tested them on the lights but as these RGB light panels consume a lot more power these batteries are not lasting as long as the NP-F970 which I already have. However the USB C port charging is very convenient and I will certainly be using these more often due to convenience of just plugging it in my laptop.

4.0 out of 5 stars Most convenient charge with any USB device.

This replacement battery comes with a 2-in-1 USB-C cable and is fully compatible with various Sony camera models.

With a capacity of 1500mAh and 7.4V/7.62Wh, it also features built-in multiple protections including over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, over-temperature, and over-charge protection. LED indicators show green when fully charged and red while charging.

What I find convenient about these batteries is the ability to charge them anywhere at any time without requiring special chargers. This flexibility is a significant advantage, especially for photographers constantly on the move. Additionally, the comprehensive built-in protection features offer peace of mind against potential damage or hazards, ensuring the safety of both the batteries and the devices they power.

However, while the compatibility with various Sony camera models is extensive, it would be beneficial if the product could also cater to a wider range of camera brands. This would make it even more versatile for photographers using different equipment.

Overall, these replacement batteries offer convenience and safety features that are highly beneficial for photographers.

Good quality replacement Sony batteries made from good materials and feels solid..

I have been testing this for just over a week on a number of different Neewer lights and so far I have had no issues but you really need to be using them for a few months to work out if they keep there charge, still work etc.

The batteries I will say don’t last as long as original Sony batteries BUT they are not that far off and when you compare the price difference you are getting two batteries that will be cheaper than one. So it is good for your pocket.

Comes with a USB-A dual USB-C which means you can charge both batteries at the same time with one cable which is a nice touch.

The main feature about this I love is the fact that you don’t need a separate charger you can connect the cables directly to the batteries so you can charge them when you are out and about or on location with a power bank.

Overall I am happy with the replacement Sony batteries and will get again when I need to.

No longer do I have to hunt around for the Sony specific charger, I can now just use pretty much any usbc cable. The batteries seem to last well, they charge quickly and based on the spec are larger capacity oem- 1020mAh vs these at 1500mAh. To be completely honesty I wish I had decided to get these sooner.

5.0 out of 5 stars USBC rechargeable batteries make charging so much easie

It’s so much easier than having to carry around a specific battery charger – you almost certainly have a USB charger or power bank for your phone and now this will charge the camera’s battery too.

I’ve been using a third-party USB camera battery charger as it’s much smaller than Sony’s original charger, but now I don’t need to take that either.

Duo set of compatible batteries for the NP-FW50 compatible canon cameras. These will work in several models of camera to which the seller has listed for ease to check before you end up placing the order. I have found these to be the exact fit for the A6000 model, so have no doubt they will fit in the other models as suggested too. The kit comes with two batteries and then a usb charger cable which has two charger ends so you can charge both batteries at the same time. They fit and work in the camera perfectly and seem to last just as long as the official ones. You are basically getting two batteries for the same price as one official, so a great bargain to be had! I would recorded and buy these again 🙂

Ordered to supplement my existing A7 batteries.
Having recently ordered USB C rechargeable batteries from Enegon for my Canon 5D I was so impressed I have decided to order similar for all my cameras and lighting equipment, no more lugging around multiple chargers and leads when one lead can rule them all, sans charger.
I did use to avoid 3rd party batteries after a set fried a Canon 400D many years ago, but technology has moved on and these to all intents and purposes are identical in performance to the OEM supplied ones.
I have now ordered several different types of rechargeable battery for different parts of my kit so in the main my review of each has been pretty much the same across the board, this technology is what I have been waiting for..
I can’t really think of any negatives.

Very nice batteries, they’re well put together and look like they’ll last.

They last about the same amount of time as the original battery but it is super handy how these are charged directly by a USB C cable, so you can easily charge them while still using the camera with another battery.

The box comes with two batteries and a charge cable. You’ll need to provide your own USB charger.

So far, all good, they work perfectly, my A6000 seems to like them.

    Recommended.

What a fantastic idea, this is something I wish I had years ago, everybody has a USB C cable these days not everybody lugs around a FW-50 battery charger, sure you can charge in camera but its slow and painful.

You basically get 2 FW-50 compatible batteries and a USB C dual head cable with a USB A connector on the end.

To charge you simply plug in the USB C connectors into the batteries, then plug into a power source.

There is a tiny LED on each battery red for charging and green when complete.

These batteries are also slightly more powerful than the originals so hopefully might give you a bit more longevity per use.

Comparatively speaking these two batteries are roughly half the price of a single Sony FW-50 battery.

I’ve only put a single charge through they right now, I assume they were partially charged as they only needed 1-2hrs to fully charge, the manual suggest 5hrs is the typical charge time.

    Highly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic idea, works perfectly in my RX10, double pack = bonus!!

ENEGON are a fairly well known battery brand, certainly one you can trust as a third party battery supplier for your Sony camera. This is often an observation made by people who want a battery that is compatible which these are – there are no error messages when using these batteries in my Sony a7iv.

They’re 2,250mAh which is a good capacity. I have two 2,500mAh third party batteries which serve me well for a day of tourist stuff so I know these will satisfy my needs.

What’s really great now is I have a charge dock for my 2x batteries I already own, but now I can charge 4 batteries at once as these have a direct USB-C interface.

You get a funky cable which is 1 standard USB-A to a double ended USB-C. This is really good for the simple fact you only need one cable instead of two.

The batteries have visual cues in the form of an LED to tell you whether it’s charging or charged.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compatible with the Sony a7iv and a good capacity too

I film professionally so aways need a load of NP batteries around to power field audio units, monitors and the occasional small light. These are great because you don’t need to carry around a dedicated charger because each is individually chargeable via USB C. It’s a pity that the batteries don’t have USB C out (or LED monitoring lights) though because they would be really useful on a rig. That said, for less than 15 each you can’t really ask for more.

The ENEGON NP-FW50 USB C Direct Charging Replacement Batteries 1500mAh (2-Pack) with 2 in 1 USB-C Charging Cable for Sony NEX camera’s arrived in a slimline box so it should fit through your letter box if you’re not home to take delivery.

In the box you get two batteries.
Along with a dual usb-c charging cable.

The batteries are very sturdy and robust and feel just like the originals in terms of quality and construction.

What’s really convenient about these batteries is you can charge them anywhere at any time without the need for special chargers.

You can charge these up by a USB power bank or any USB point, just plug the cable into the USB c charging port and away you go the battery’s now charging.

When the battery’s charging the LED will be red and when it’s fully charged that led will be green.

So you always know the charge status of the battery while it’s charging.

The batteries performed excellent in my tests, not quite as good as the originals in terms of battery life, but they do come very close.

And at a fraction of the cost and more convenience of charging these batteries I’d say it was outstanding value for money.

    Very happy with these batteries.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product much more convenient with a usb c port.
