Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAfter using the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4820DWF A4 Multifunction Wireless Inkjet Printer for several weeks, I’m delighted to share my experience with this impressive machine.

First and foremost, the WF-4820DWF delivers where it matters most: performance. Whether printing, scanning, copying, or faxing, it handles tasks with speed and efficiency. The printing quality is exceptional, producing crisp, vibrant documents and images, making it suitable for both professional documents and personal projects.

One of the standout features of this printer is its versatility. With its multifunction capabilities, it’s a true all-in-one solution for any home office or small business. The ability to print, scan, copy, and fax from a single device streamlines workflow and saves valuable desk space. Additionally, it supports automatic double-sided printing, reducing paper waste and saving time.

Setup and connectivity are seamless with the WF-4820DWF. The wireless connectivity options make it easy to print from any device, whether it’s a computer, smartphone, or tablet. The intuitive control panel and user-friendly interface further enhance the user experience, making it simple to navigate through the printer’s various functions and settings.

Another notable feature is the printer’s efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Utilizing Epson’s PrecisionCore technology, it delivers high-quality prints while consuming less ink compared to traditional inkjet printers. The individual ink cartridges are easy to replace, and the option for high-capacity cartridges further reduces the frequency of replacements, ultimately lowering printing costs.

Overall, the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4820DWF A4 Multifunction Wireless Inkjet Printer offers an impressive combination of performance, versatility, and cost-effectiveness. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m very happy with my printer! Great quality printing, excellent paper handling and capacity. The touch screen is easy to use and very intuitive. The set-up procedure was pretty straight forward and no issues with the WIFI. I have already done some photo prints which are remarkable quality, and a perfect colour and contrast match to the original pictures, also it seems to be pretty economical with the inks! Overall I’m very satisfied with this do-it-all printer at a very pleasing price tag!

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersThe printer is great, it’s the second one I’ve bought of this type for a home office and I can’t fault it. Easy set up and easy to use and a really great price. 5 stars for the printer. However I feel I have to comment here about the delivery as Amazon don’t seem to give their customers any outlet to make a complaint or inform them of any dodgy happenings. We were waiting eagerly for our first delivery. We tracked the van down to it’s last stops then when we saw the van was right outside we were watching out the window waiting to open the door. The van pulled up, the driver looked at our house, then our delivery status changed to delivered, handed to resident and he drove straight off. I immediately took to Amazon to see if I could report it but no!! Automated messaging took me to an “oh dear, it seems the status was changed too early. If you haven’t received it in 5 days you can come back to us”!!!! WHAT!!!” YOUR DELIVERY DRIVER STOLE IT!!!! AND I CANT TELL ANYONE?
Dodgy delivery men aside though a replacement was delivered several days later after I waited the allotted time and went back to the automated service. But I just can’t fathom a system that doesn’t allow for reporting this kind of thing. And from what I can tell this is quite common.

Bought to replace XP 620 which has lasted about 8 years. Ordered and delivered in 48 hours – thank you Amazon. Very easy to set up and to update firmware. It is quite a tall machine but little bigger in footprint than the XP620. Wanted to stay with Epson as I understand them. Considered buying laser printer and printer with ink tanks but, for the amount of printing I do which is intermittent, the traditional inkjet will do. Seems very quick and good quality printing.

I was sooooo fed up with HP…so many problems.
I bought the WF-4820 prnter. Shipped swiftly.
Initial set-up very fast, however, I had some connectivity issues which was my fault mainly, as I missed the administrator password inside the printer flip lid but after that, all went very well.
I still have some glitches with my EPSON account from the laptop smart panel, particulalrly scanning and saving to the right folder, which I am very close to resolving but the phone app is very easy and I have set-up everything there, control everything from there with scans going to My Cloud which I then access from the laptop, anywhere.
Very happy. If you struggle as I did, at the start don’t worry, you’ll get there.
As with most official ink cartridges, a bit more expensive than unofficial ink but having read reviews on some non-official inks, I chose EPSON ink cartridges and all good.
Printing, set at standard, is only slightly paler, obviously to save ink, but can be adjusted for more colour and vibrancy etc.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersBefore we dive in, just a quick shout out for Amazon: Ordered late afternoon 5th Feb 2024. Printer arrived 13:30 7th Feb 2024. That…is pretty amazing. And I didn’t have to do anything!

Back to the printer: I needed this printer fast because my existing one from the Canon family decided that the absorber pads were *nearly* saturated. I watched Youtube and cleaned them beautifully. No change. Since calling someone out would cost more than the value of the (8 year old) printer, I decided to replace it and silently curse the manufacturer of my old one.

The box is quite big and heavy, just saying. Items well packed though and it took several minutes to rid the printer of blue tapes and get it ready…but nothing unusual there. What was disappointing was an absence of printer USB cable. Note that, potential buyers. Luckily, the old Canon one worked so no harm done.

I wish the “Get Started” documentation had mentioned that users should get online and start the set up process immediately from there. As it was, I was faced with the (lovely) touch screen telling me to do stuff but waiting for the online to be activated. Confusing. However, once I got my stuff together, the set up was slick and reassuring. Lots of help and “Next” buttons. The only issue came with connecting the wifi. The set up suggests not using the Wifi Wizard. Be careful here, because choosing “Other->Wifiauto” means using the WPA button on your Hub. I nearly freaked out when nothing seemed to be happening but pressing the button appeared to do the trick.

The printer is tall, but not a huge footprint. Printing or scanning on normal/standard quality is very fast indeed (good). However, if you choose fast/High Quality especially on scan (say 400 res) this takes a long time (but probably much the same for most scanners)

I have subscribed to Readyprint 30pages a month and will try to remember to update this review with what I think of it.

The overall look of the printer is great, despite the vertical bulk – the pull-outtable 45 degree menu panel is awesome really like that.

Finally, after the set up was complete, I asked my wife to connect & print from her iPad. No problem, print was almost instantaneous from downstairs.

Overall, this is a jolly fine printer print. Stay tuned for the update.

    18/02/2024 Update

    1. The printer: Still very pleased with this printer. Prints on “standard” are very, very quick.
I have discovered that you can scan documents through wifi which my previous Canon would not do.
    Awesome!!
Still love the touch menu – I wanted to see how much ink was left after a few bw/colour prints –
amazingly only a tiny amount user (I was given the impression that ink tanks shipped with new
printers were basically only sufficient to set-up and a few sample prints: Not True.
The scanner has a preview which allows you to tweak books whose pages you are trying to scan.
    2. Epson ReadyPrint. I have already received a replacement set of cartridges even though I do not need
them (see above). I have signed up for “30 pages per month” @ 1.99 pm. Not sure how accurate my
30 pages is, but we’ll see. I am expecting either to be inundated with new cartridges or not receive any
more for months even though I may need them. Let’s see how this pans out.

    Stand by for next update…

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this as a home printer with all-round functions. I rejected many on the market that are more expensive and can only print. This one can scan and copy as well. It has a wi-fi link and prints in colour. It is not enormous – an important factor when using at home. It is currently a very reasonable price.
The installation was straightforward apart from the link to wi-fi. I would have found this impossible without help. That may be because of my particular system. But once set up, the wi-fi link works well.
