This type c to hdmi is a great little product that has a lot of different uses for different occasions its great for taking on holidays, business trips or just weekend breaks you just plug your type c device either phone tablet or laptop and plug the hdmi into a TV or monitor and you can watch what you want from your phone tablet or laptop onto the TV like streaming apps or photos I think these are fantastic and always take them with me on holiday so I highly recommend and this product is fantastic value for money

As with others, what arrived here was a short and wide hub that had a USB A and a USB C port as well as the HDMI one.

It works OK, but it’s bulkier than what I was expecting, and although it’s not currently very expensive at under a fiver, you should be able to rely on getting what you expect.

Four stars for the price and it working.

When I ordered this I was expecting a straightforward USB C to HDMI adapter but what I received was a 3 port USBC adapter which includes a charge port, an HDMI port and a USB A port. Whilst I only needed the HDMI port for my intended use of it, I found it to be very useful in day to day life allowing me to easily connect a variety of peripherals to my notebook. Eveything works well from being able to connect to my 27 inch monitor, data transfer and recharging or powering other devices. I leave it connected to the monitor so I can easily connect whatever tablet or notebook or even phone to the monitor and work or watch anything not having to strain using the devices screen. Still need to order a USB C to HDMI adapter but this has justified it’s 5* by being very useful in other scenarios.

Well, this is not the item shown on the listing.
This review is the item I received.
Three. In one USB c, very similar to the OEM version. Allows you to turn the USb c into a HDMI and USB and USB c adapt.
Works as you would expect. Is silver in colour with a white cable. Seems of average quality that does the job.

I requested this product free through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Like several other reviewers, I received a USB-C to 3-port adapter (HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C) that differs significantly from the product image on the listing page for the “FIOUSY Type-C to HDMI 4K Adapter.” My review reflects the performance of the adapter I received and I cannot say it is the same as the adapter listed in the supplier’s image.

I solely tested the USB-C to HDMI functionality for connecting to external monitors and TVs. The additional USB-A and USB-C ports were not evaluated.

The adapter has a sleek design and feels well-made with a partially metal casing. For the low price of 6.99 or even 4.99, at the time of review, it seems well-built and offers good value. However, the inconsistency between the product image and the actual item raises concerns. I’ve included an image of the adapter I received for reference.

Performance? The adapter worked flawlessly when connecting an 11-inch iPad Pro (A12Z) and Macbook Air (M1) to an TV and a 4K monitor. It’s important to note that, as advertised, it only supports 4K resolution at 30Hz, and this is what I saw. My Monitor supports 60Hz, but not with this adapter.

Unfortunately, the adapter didn’t work with the USB-C port on my Windows 11 PC. This could be an issue with my computer rather than the adapter itself, so I won’t hold this against it. I already have three monitors connected to this PC via a separate graphics card. It’s crucial to confirm your device supports external monitors via USB-C before purchasing.

In conclusion, while the adapter functioned well with any device I knew to output audio and video via its USB-C port, the possibility of others receiving a different product with unknown performance is concerning. It is a compact and functional adapter, with my Apple devices. However, the inconsistency between the product image and the distributed item raises doubts. If you receive the same adapter I did, it offers good value. However, due to the potential product variation, I’m reducing my rating to 4 stars.

Not sure why, but received a 3-in-1 adaptor, not what its actually shown, not sure what was the cause of this.

As for the item I did receive, its perfectly functional, it’s main connector is USB-C with the adaptor having a USB-C passthrough, an HDMI connector and a USB-3 port, all tested and functional… the build quality does have me a bit worried, I feel I do have to be cautious with it… as in just don’t throw it around, drop heavy things on it or try to jam things into it blindly and it should hold up just fine.

Not as depicted, but in theory it’s better
If you want a simple 1to1 then this isnt for you.
If you want a USB to USB, USB c and HDMI then this may suit
feels well built, though only time will tell as to how wear-resistant it is.

I got this to be able to get an additional HDMI port on my laptop so that I could connect a second monitor. I’m using windows 10 and it didn’t ask me to install any additional drivers or software, it detected the adapter and I think it just installed the driver files itself as it took it a few seconds to start working, but this really is plug and play. I now have two monitors connected and I can use them in extend mode so that the second monitor is just like an extension of your main screen and you can move your mouse cursor across from one screen to the other as if it’s a single display.

The adapter cable itself feels like a really solid build and the cable between the connectors is really thick. The connectors at each end are made of metal and seem really strong. I would normally have given this 4 stars as it doesn’t have a braided cable and the sheath where the connectors meet the cable is a bit to short for any decent protection. However, on this occasion I am overlooking that due to the excellent signal I’m getting through these adapter cables. The monitor that I had connected through this adapter produced such a clear image that it looked better than the image on my original monitor. I’ve never had that before with any adapters, and this is the reason I am giving this 5 stars is because the image displayed really is awesome.

If you are going to use this for the same purposes as me then I couldn’t recommend it more as the quality of pictures that I got through them has been the best I’ve ever had through any adapter.

I have used this adapter for a laptop that is very slim and lacking in ports. This has allowed me to connect the HDMI for my screen. (The laptop screen alone is never enough!) I had one like the one before with multiple pots and it didn’t last very long (and I was made late to an online meeting because it messed up the laptop as it failed) so I wanted one with just the HDMI port, with less to go wrong!. It’s working fine at the moment, so I’m pleased with it so far.

Tested this with my Macbook and iMac. Works brilliantly with both.

I have had devices like this crash my mac before – especially using photoshop. This has none of those problems,

Very solidly built. Strong enough to fling it in your laptop bag and carry around

This works very well. I tried it on my new Surface Pro – Microsoft in their wisdom have removed the mini display port so I needed something to connect it to my TV, this little gizmo works a treat. The one I received wasn’t as described, it has USB A and USB C sockets on it as well as the HDMI, so a bonus although it does add to it’s size and weight. The only issue I have with these types of adapters, and it isn’t just this one, is that the cable is so short the adapter just hangs from the tablet, putting strain on all the components including the tablet/laptop socket. That besides this is a good price and works well.

This is a review of an item received free as part of the Amazon Vine program. I make my reviews as objective as possible and only award 5 stars if I feel a product is really worth it and is something that I would be happy to buy.

This item differs slightly from that shown on the listing, however, it worked straight out of the box, when plugged into the USB-C port on my Lenovo T480S laptop and its able to support external monitors/projectors etc., up to 4K resolution (3840 x 2160).

The USB-C port on the adaptor could easily be connected to a USB Hub, to support additional peripherals, which would mean that just one USB connection, could effectively provide the same facilities as the proprietary docking station for your laptop, but at a fraction of the cost.

Note, that supporting an external monitor via a USB-C port on a laptop, requires the laptop to be compatible, so check the specification of your laptop first, just to make sure, before you buy one.

Most recent mobile phones/tablets are equipped with a USB-C port, so you may be able to use this device to connect a monitor or projector to your phone, and also transfer data to/from a USB memory stick. You can even control your phone using a mouse, which could come in useful when delivering presentations.

Overall, this is a handy device, to either leave connected on your desk at home, or to carry around in your laptop bag. I did notice however, that the plastic moulding around the USB-A port was damaged… I’m not sure whether it was like this originally, or if it happened when I unplugged my mouse?

4.0 out of 5 stars A useful device, but perhaps with a design flaw on the USB-A socke

I was expecting a single USB-C to HDMI adapter as shown in the listing

Instead I got a USB-C to 3 way, HDMI, USB-A and USB-C adapter which is the same design as the Apple one but with a metal build

Overall it seems to work fine with no issues and good USB transfer speed to boot

So to be honest I’m quite happy as I got more adapter than I was expecting, just a bit puzzling really

This is a good adaptor but unit I received is different to the one shown in the product description.
The product description shows a device with a USB C plug on one end and an HDMI socket on the other.
The product I received has a USB C plug on one end and a larger unit on the end that has an HDMI socket plus a USB 3 type A socket and a USBC power pass though socket.
So not as described but it seems well made with metal cases and extra capability so I’m happy.
It’s described as 4K but I only have an HD (1920×1080) monitor to test it with and it works well.
