Digital Photo Frames have been out for many years and I actually came across an old one I had about 10 years ago.
But it isn’t as good as this one from Golony.
The picture quality has improved soo much and this is one of the better ones of today.
Good, Crisp pictures and the ability to play videos too. The quality is very good.
Sound is good and can be muted if required.
It is very easy to set up and there is the App of course.
It has a 16Gb built in memory, which isn’t the biggest by far of some Digital Photo Frames but it will take an SD card for additional storage.
The biggest draw back is that it requires mains power, necessary really as the frame is intended to be a continuous show.
The cable is about a metre and a half; I would have liked at least a 2 metre cable.
If it is to be hung on the wall, the cable will always be visible – although, we hung it on a window wall and the cable will trail down behind the curtain.
Otherwise, it sits well on top of a dresser or cabinet or whatever.
I also think that todays prices are a little steep for these Digital Phot Frames

If you are looking to buy a digital photo frame then look no further. It comes very well packaged and has plug and lead whichbis 1.5m in length. Setting it up was quick and easy. You need to download the app from which pictures and videos can be transferred and setup as reuired.
This can display your much loved pictures as well as videos with an option to play videos on mute. The picture quality is great and it’s full HD.
Make sure that an electrical socket is close to where you intend to place it (its 1.5m in length for the electrical wire). It looks better on a display shelf than on a wall. It would have been better if there was a battery installed inside this unit as a backup or even run on its own for some time. I would imagine that might increase its size and make it heavier..
It would make a perfect Christmas gift and ath the time of review its on sale for 119.99 plus a flat 30 discount which is good value for money.
This is my first digital photo frame and I’m really happy with it.
I ordered the WiFi version so it’s really easy to add photos to the frame and you can even give a code to family and friends to allow them to send photos to your frame, although whether you’d want them to be able to do this is another matter.
It took a while to start up the first time but it’s really easy to set up and I had the frame running with photos on display a lot quicker than I expected. The WiFi ability makes it really easy to load new photos on the frame, but that’s really all it does. You can’t access the frame through the app, all you can see is the history of the photos you have sent and any photo manipulation (fit to frame, for example) needs to be done through the frame.
The frame is mains powered and it comes with a power cord that’s around 140cm long so you need to have a plug socket nearby to provide power. It also has an internal storage of 16GB, of which just over 10Gb is available for photos, but you can expand this with an SD card. I have 55 photos on mine and it has used 0.04GB so the internal storage is fine for my needs.
Personally, I think I would have been just as happy with the non WiFi frame which is considerably cheaper. So unless you particularly want the function for people to send photos to the frame, then I would just go with the standard frame.
This is rather great photo frame. My favorite feature is that I can send pictures to it from my phone without connecting with cable to my laptop. It have minimalistic design and fits well into my home decor. Sadly pictures only can be viewed when looking straight into the frame and not from sides. Also cable is very short so I can’t really hang it on the wall unless I want it low or I find another cable that fits. This have 40% off the price at the moment and I think with this discount it is definitely worth it.
This is going to replace a much older and smaller digital picture display that I’ve had for many years. The difference is amazing. The screen on this one is superb, displaying his-res crystal clear photos, It has 16gig of storage built in which means you’ll be able to upload 1000’s of pics. They can then be displayed horizontally or vertically. As it is mains powered it will need to be displayed near a power outlet unless you use a extension lead – just something to keep in mind. The app was easy to use and transferring pics from my phone was also simple. You can also transfer them to the frame using a USB stick though you can’t display them directly from the stick. All in all a lovely digital picture frame that will look great and display or would make a great gift to a budding photographer.

Digital WiFi photo & video framed display with stand or for wall fitting, this is based on the android operating system which is so easy to set up with easy simple set up menu, you will need to download the free app for file transfer & pairing but this took no more than the time to make a cup of tea, the app is easy to use and again within seconds you will see your memory’s on the screen, my only down sides are 1 the price at 120 but this has a 40% of discount at the time of review so = 72 but I feel this is still over priced by around 20 given its a photo & video frame you can also insert a memory stick if you do not want to transfer stuff via the app to keep on a rotating picture / video basis, 2nd the picture quality from my iPhone 11 pro max to this frame was somewhat lacking and not the same as the picture taken on my mobile was displayed on the frame even in High quality mode which was disappointing that said if you want a nice digital frame with 40% off this will do you well see pictures to show how simple this is to set up
This is a digital picture frame that will slideshow your pictures. For all intents and purpose think of it like a cut-down functionality tablet that you can either stand on a surface (a plastic stick is attached to the back that you can use as a stand either landscape or portrait) or wall mounted, and the screen will shift to your orientation.
Pictures can be transferred to the 16gig memory by either app from a smart phone (via wifi) or on an SD card/USB stick/micro-USB (the SD card is used as a transfer device only, the frame will not use it as storage or run the slideshow from it). The app proved easy to use. It limits the transfer to 10 pictures a time. This felt low but also potentially prevents error in mass transfer. You can give a code to friends to add them to the frame so they can send photos from their devices (when on the same wifi, of course). You can use these storage connections to back-up the device also.
The slideshow can fit to frame and will look to display the most important aspect of the photo (when transferring the app asks you this for the first photo of each transfer only) or show the full picture, which may not be fitted to the full screen. The display will show your name, the time and date and the room (rooms are added on setup and I suspect with the thought of having multiple devices in different rooms). You can use the touchscreen to change settings. One aspect I didn’t like was that you couldn’t manage photos (delete them) from the main gallery page and had to go into a specific management page.
The frame is powered through a mains transformer and so you will be limited regarding location (to socket adjacent or using an extension cord). The frame will go to sleep between 23:00 and 07:00 (this is adjustable) or you can, through the touch screen interface, put it into sleep mode. This is not stand-by and therefore you can send pictures when in this mode. Note, having put the frame to sleep it will self-wake at the set wake-up time. You can switch it off through the touch screen interface. However, a design flaw is that to switch it back on you must use the power button at the rear of the frame and that is awkward if wall mounted — especially if you don’t want it constantly on (for power conservation).
Nevertheless, this is a neat little device if you want a digital picture frame.
I have a whole raft of pictures that normally aren’t seen but through this frame they can now be displayed in a good quality screen which also plays videos too
I have been able to upload photos via my phone but also had loaded a lot of them onto an sd card so increasing the storage by a lot

If you’re considering purchasing a WIFI enabled digital photo frame, which can be utilised either free standing or wall mounted, there is no better time as this product currently has a significant reduction due to the hefty applicable discount voucher.
Item arrives in branded box which is suitable for gifting, this includes the Frame, a three pin Uk wall adapter and instruction booklet.
The emphasis here is on the WIFI connectivity which makes it easy to send photos to loved ones far away, though you will need to setup the device on first boot and enter relevant details, whilst WIFI connection can be skipped you will then be limited to plug and play storage options, these are thankfully quite diverse as the item includes an SD card slot, USB Type A port and a MINI USB port so there’s no excuse to be able to import photos easily.
Caveats include the reliance on the three pin wall adapter for power and the requirement to import pictures to the device from the removable storage (as they cannot be utilised directly from storage).
The device can be utilised free standing or wall mounted, however wall mounting whilst flat is not flush as the back mount incorporates the SD card, USB Type A port and power connector etc, thus whilst remaining flat to the wall it protrudes a couple of centimetres around the sides, this also requires any plug in storage to be plugged in prior as it’s difficult to access afterwards.
None of these presents an issue and the device looks superb when wall mounted, but be aware that whilst the back of the device sits flush, there will be a visible gap around the sides due to the back panel and it’s associated ports.
Screen quality is excellent and the Frameo app is adapt at displaying the pictures in the best possible way, the touch screen is sensitive and works well, the device is also capable of displaying small video files with a caveat of 15 seconds length in .mp4 or .avi format, other features include the implementation of a time/date/weather overlay making this a superbly useful device that provides basic functions as well as photo display.
A really nice device that provides more than just a photo frame, with excellent picture quality, but one which requires close proximity to a wall socket.
Its larger than I expected but easy to set up even without reference to thence;osed instructions.
I downloaded the app and gave myself a code from the frame and sent over an image, which I displayed above. Nice, except it’s a large 5Gb image (yes I can and will make it smaller) and the frame has 16GB storage so jpegs smaller required.
Colours are true to the original image and large enough to be seen anywhere in the room.
I had hoped it was stand alone without having to be plugged in, as that limits where I put it. After setting up in the kitchen then moving it to the dining room I was warned not not turn off the power. However, my image was not lost.
