These seem strong and are a good size, holding plenty of hedge cuttings etc, yet compact enough to fit in the relatively small boot of my car. The only issue I had was getting the bottom to open up fully. Ok once used a couple of times though.

These large capacity garden bags are very strong and the perfect size for loading with hedge cuttings. Easy to carry with the side handles and also to lift into the car and empty into the skip with additional bottom handles. They fit well in the hatchback too. Highly recommended.

Useful strong bags for leaves but I found the plastic loop very awkward to insert properly -and larger twigs and branches will need cutting into small pieces so get a larger bag for this around 350 or 500 size

It’s a bag, what else can you expect. It holds your garden waste.. probably other things as well have not tested it as just wanted to hold garden waste since the bins don’t hold much its a temp solution to get garden cleaned.

These bins appear robust and the handles are strong. They are large enough for all the rose clipping for the annual pruning and clearing garden leaves. I have used these bins before and they have lasted well. I only had to buy more when I stupidly left them in a van I borrowed.

If you’ve ever used those pop-up garden bags from the German discounters, you’ll be pleased to know that these garden bags don’t have that annoying problem that those ones have. You know what I meanwhere there is a casing stitched to the outside of the bag, and the stitching always unravels, so that the supporting wires pop out.

These bags are also much bigger. You get 3 x120L bags in the pack (all the same size), making this set excellent value for money. They are made from tightly woven plastic strips, similar to the material used for some tarpaulins, or council waste bags. When standing on the floor, the bags almost reach my hips, and are also really wide. You don’t have to keep emptying them too often when tidying up your garden, yet they aren’t so big that they’re too heavy to lift.

The stitching and build quality on these is good. There are 2 top handles, and 2 bottom handle on each bag. This makes them easy to pick up with two hands, to be able to tip the contents into your garden waste bin, or onto your compost heap. The handles are made from a thick, good quality webbing, and the stitching is reinforced where they are attached to the bags. All you need to do to start using the bags is to thread the stiffening boning strip through the top hemmed casing of each bag. There are 2 large eyelets located just inside the top edge of the bag, to allow you to do this easily. Once you’ve pushed it all the way through, you just need to thread the excess amount across through to the opposite eyelet to close the loop. You’re then ready to go, and your bag will always be securely held wide open, ready for you to fill. No more bags closing over in the wind, or fumbling around to open them up while you have an armful of trimmings.

I might put some drainage holes into one of the bags, and use it to grow some potatoes inside. It’s large enough to keep earthing them up, and would be absolutely perfect for this. These bags are very much recommended, and a very useful addition for any gardener. My cat seems to like them too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful in the garden, and could be used to grow potatoes in too.

I recently got these Heavy Duty Garden Waste Bags, a 3-pack with each bag boasting a generous 120-litre capacity. These reusable garden sacks come equipped with industrial-grade fabric and sturdy handles, presenting themselves as a reliable solution for handling various types of garden waste.

First and foremost, the 120-litre size is impressive and caters well to larger garden tasks. Whether dealing with a substantial amount of plant debris, fallen leaves, or general trash, these bags provide ample space, reducing the need for frequent emptying.

The industrial fabric gives off an air of durability, and initial use suggests resistance to tears and punctures. The handles, often a weak point in many garden bags, seem robust and capable of supporting the bag’s weight, making transportation around the garden a breeze.

One notable feature is the waterproof nature of these bags. This proves invaluable, especially in regions with unpredictable weather. I’ve tested them during light rain, and they successfully kept the contents dry. This not only safeguards the integrity of the bags but also ensures efficient waste disposal even when the weather is less than ideal.

The vibrant green color is a thoughtful touch, seamlessly blending with the garden environment. It might seem like a minor detail, but it adds a touch of aesthetics to an otherwise utilitarian item.

However, the true test lies in their longevity. While the initial impressions are positive, the bags need to withstand the test of time and repeated use. It would be interesting to observe how well they hold up over several seasons of gardening chores.

In terms of value for money, the inclusion of three bags in a pack is commendable. It caters to the needs of avid gardeners with larger spaces, offering both convenience and cost-effectiveness.

To sum up, the RFWIN Heavy Duty Garden Waste Bags appear to be a promising addition to my gardening arsenal. They excel in capacity, durability, and weather resistance. As the seasons progress, I’ll be keen to observe how they endure continuous use and weather exposure, but as of now, they have met and even exceeded my initial expectations.

Before these arrived I was slightly concerned that I should have ordered the 2 x 500l bags rather than the 3 x 120l bags, however when they arrived they are surprisingly big, certainly about as big as we need (while still being easy to handle / empty into the garden bin)

Having three means have plenty of capacity available, useful as we get a lot of leaves in our garden!

Flat packed with the plastic coil reinforcement tucked inside, this was straightforward to thread round the neck of the bag then tuck the loose ends in, though this last bit required a bit of effort!

Once this is installed, the bags stand on their own with an open neck, so ideal for adding leaves, clippings etc without fighting the bag.

They have handles at the top and also at the bottom, to aid with emptying. These seem made of decent material, well stitched in, as do the bags themselves, given the advertised purpose of light to medium weight garden materials, they should last well.

Anything heavy or sharp will likely reduce the lifespan considerably.

Ours will get good use transporting material to the garden bin and storing surplus when that fills up, which it does at points of the year when we have a lot of shrub cuttings to dispose of. This is where having three will be useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made bags offering plenty of capacity

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really don’t think the images in the listing for these bags do them justice. They’re much bigger and better than I expected. I’m a very busy gardener and am always looking for an empty trug or container to put trimmings, clippings and general waste into to take to my compost heap. These are going to come in very useful shortly when I start clearing away all the dead foliage from my garden come spring.

The measurements given are 76cm x 45cm. However, the images are a little deceptive in that they are taller and more narrow than I anticipated. I got the 120 litre pack of three bags. The listing might be showing the larger 500 litre bags too. My tape measure confirmed that the size is accurate for the 120l bags. Not a problem. It will make carrying them much easier than a wide bag when they get heavy. There are two additional handles lower down on the bag so that they can easily be tilted and lifted when full.

They appear to be well made with tough materials. They arrived flat packed and were simply unfolded and pulled open. To make the circular opening at the top there’s a coiled strip of robust plastic which is pushed through one of the metal rings until it appears through the other. This was relatively easy to do. The ends of the strip are tucked back into the rings to hold it in place.

I can think of so many uses for these bags, from filling with leaves to make leaf mould, composting, growing potatoes, for logs, and as a family member said, that will hold a lot of laundry. Indeed. If you wanted to why not? The fact that they’re green and made to look as though they’re for the garden doesn’t mean that they can’t be used in other ways. They certainly appear to be heavy duty and strong and will fulfil a lot of purposes in my garden. Robust, well made, large capacity and good value. I look forward to getting outdoors and putting them to good use as soon as the weather allows.

    3 Garden waste 120 litres

The bag is large, arrives folded with the a looped black plastic strip. You then have to thread the black strip though and eyelet at the top of the bag on the inside. This can be done by one person, but probably easier with two. I did the first bag following the curve of the looped strip but that did leave the bag a bit floppy by the eyelets, you can try and feed any excess into the other side

The bag is very large and floppy when empty – I reckon about 50cm in dimeter and 75cm tall – clearly it will be very heavy to move if you put earth in it – but for clippings the open is relatively wide and its got plenty of depth.

Handy spare storage if you have a fortnightly garden waste collection and have to much to fit in the bin on any particular collection. having just trimmed a tree and a large lavendar it came in handy. Though the wide diameter meant emptying into the smaller wheelie bin top was a bit hit and miss.

It comes with one smaller grab handle at the bottom and two larger ones the top – allowing you to drag it around. Al the seams were well finished but the overall bag is made from a quite lightweight plastic weave (~250g when empty) so I’m not expecting a lifetime of use.

The bugs arrive in a polythene outer, with each of the 3 bags individually wrapped in plastic – so you can store a spare for later easy.

Overall – great if you have high volume but low weight garden material to collect. Better value as a 3 pack – but that is a lot of volume.
