Love the ease of use from this thing. It tidied up all the unsightly plugs and cables that were on full view in my room. We previously had cable ties holding everything together, not any more. This is well worth the very reasonable price we paid for it. We will be buying more of these.
Enough room in the box for various leads. They just sit loose inside. Gaps at the side allow ends of leads to be ready for whatever you need charged. It’s perhaps not the neatest way to keep leads but it’s fine for now.
Works fine, but although the image seems to show that the sockets will swivel, they are fixed. This means that any plug that doesn’t have the small pin at the very top, wont fit.
This is a nice bit of kit. The only downside is that some adaptor plugs will not fit in the built in extension strip. Other than that it really tidies up all that wiring mess, and makes a nice little foot rest.. love i
Right the negative reviews aren’t warranted far as I’m concerned all you need to do is make sure you read the information provided by the listing. It’s a compact unit and space is limited for bulky phone charges. So far I have five of these unit in use and would go back to any other extension lead. Great for cable management and it looks great as well.
This is a useful way to hide an untidy extension lead and excess cable. The box is quite large with room to accomodate fairly large transformers and excess cable. For my installation, there was enough space to hide a small 5-port network switch in the box.
The only negative is that you will not be able to fit transformers that protrude vertically above the earth pin. I had this issue with the black transformer in the photo, which is why it’s plugged into the wall. There is another very similar product on Amazon by FDTEK that includes two rotated sockets to support this type of transformer, which you may wish to consider instead.
Really greta idea but marred by the fact that not all plugs face the same direction. I ended up buying a small flexible adapter to allow space for lights that had inverted plugs.
I needed something like this to tidy some power cables away. It does the job well, but I have one gripe there is no room for plugs where the cables come out the top. It’s not a huge issue for me, but it could be a big non selling point for others. The build quality is fine, and with the purchase of an alternative right angled USB-C cable I’ve managed to fit the obnoxiously large MacBook charger in there. All in all it’s a good cable tidy box and I was impressed that it had 5 plugs plus the USB sockets in there.
Finally got around to sorting out all the extension cables I’ve been using for my 2 pcs. My study (converted bedroom) has, annoyingly, just one plug socket so I’ve been using daisy chains extensions to get sockets in the right place for everything. Keeping things tidy is not easy.
This box is great. It has a 5 socket extension inside that also has 3 usb sockets. I was really able to power my 2 pcs (gaming and work) as well as 2 monitors and a USB switch whilst hiding all the power blocks and excess cable inside the box. Everything is a lot better now.
The only misleading part is the images show the extension block outside of the box. It’s actually secured inside and cannot be removed.
A really well designed extension lead, I liked the fact that all the plugs are neatly stored in the box so that they all look neat and tidy as I dislike to see leads everywhere. The price was good and was well worth the cost, especially at half price, the box is sturdy and nice and compact so does not take up much space. I would highly recommend this extension cable in a box.
I wanted to love this, and if I were using it entirely for bog standard plugs, I’m sure I would. But I wanted to use it with my Xmas lights and forgot a few of those try to be ‘clever’ and invert the plug so the bulky part is the opposite way around. Or they are too tall for the lid to go on. This is on me,but previous boxes I have bought have had space to move the extension cable within it. Basically, dont buy it for Xmas lights. Buy it for offices, TV set ups etc.
Additionally as its a product designed to hide unsightly cables and look more attractive, I wish that the company logo wasn’t emblazoned across the front really obviously. In future models, could this be inside the box?
