After 2 years of use our BT baby monitor stopped working. We really struggled to replace it, trying a couple of monitors that didn’t work as expected. However this monitor works really well, and is far better than the BT one we had – the camera can pick up more of the room, and the picture quality is excellent. The battery life on the monitor isn’t the best, but as long as you have a charger nearby then that’s no issue, or you can stream the video via the app. We did have an issue with our first monitor, but ieGeek customer service dealt with the issue exceptionally fast and replaced the product for us the next day.
Really good picture lots of in app features with having the screen and the app it’s really helpful so mum and dad can keep an eye out without having to pass a monitor back and forth
App notifications are handy all in all a good piece of tech
We are very pleased with our ieGeek monitor, it ticks all the boxes for us!
It has a really good picture and night vision, you can zoom in on the image. The monitor is clear and alerts you to any motion or noise. You can also link to an app on your phone which makes it very handy to use around the house. The monitor is also portable and can be charged. We have a three story house and the reach to the monitor works perfectly from the top floor to the bottom!
The built in temperature and humidity measure is useful and we’ve found the motion and sound detection to be very sensitive (you can change the levels of sensitivity if you need).
The only downside is we couldn’t tilt the camera down enough to see into the cot from a near by shelf so we bought a separate mount for ours to achieve the right position but this works perfectly well!
SD card is not included so we had to buy this as extra to be able to watch footage back.
Overall we are very pleased with this product, I would say it’s the perfect baby monitor, having it gives us peace of mind while our baby is sleeping upstairs, I would highly recommend!
This baby monitor feels well built using tough plastic with a silicon feel good on the camera to give it some character.
My favourite feature is the monitor screen that comes with it that connects directly to the monitor and has a good range it can travel whilst still being connected. A lot of baby monitors needed the phone app to use but I didn’t want to have to connect to a network and give cyber threats another route into my home. The handheld monitor seems to have a good enough battery life and is just a bit bigger than a phone with a good screen size. The camera itself always needs to be powered but is a good size and comes with long cables and charging plugs (two sets, one for the camera and one for the monitor) so it isn’t a problem for most people in newer homes where there are plugs everywhere.
I have been using this product for a few weeks. I have to say, I am very pleased and satisfied with the product. There are some nice features I would like to share here:
Apps:
This baby camera use cloud edge apps, which can seamlessly integrate with all other iegeek products under one app. See picture 1, I can control and view all my baby camera, floodlight cameras and doorbell in one screen using the apps. It is very easy to download, use and control. See picture 2 is the view of baby camera using cloud edge app. This means that you can actually use your baby camera as a surveillance camera while you are outside. You can do that anywhere as long as you have access to internet and the apps.
LCD and wake function:
See picture 3 is what you see on the LCD. If your baby is in a different room while you are at home, you can put the LCD screen beside you to monitor the condition in the baby room. The LCD screen will go to sleep if there are no motion or sound detected, conserving battery/electricity. If motion or sounds are detected, it will wake up and immediately alert you, as shown in video 4. In this video, I have tested how the LCD will wake while triggered by cry. This function is brilliant, but it can only detect sound sources (crying sound) close to the camera. Any sources too far away (1meter +), could not wake the LCD. Good news is, the motion, no matter how big or small, will always wake the LCD.
Intercom:
The intercom, both from the app’s and LCD, can receive and feedback very clear sound. It will not break off, which keep the conversation uninterrupted. You can also hear what you expect to hear from the LCD in video 4.
Recording and storage:
You can slot in a SD card in the baby camera, and you have the option to turn on the recording function using the apps. Once the baby camera is triggered by sound or motion, it will record the view for 1 minute. You can then play back the recording anytime, anywhere, to see what have triggered the camera sensor (sounds and motion). You can check the history (See picture 2), to go through the past recording, which will come in handy for some situation.
Lullaby:
You also have the options to turn on lullaby using the LCD (See picture 5). This then instructs the camera to play the tune to calm the baby down. This is a good addition to the camera!
Installation:
Installing the camera is very easy. The camera can be mounted to the wall easily with screw (screws will be provided). Anyway, I just let it rest on a table, but still have access to wide angle view (See picture 2 & 3). . I can control the view (up, down, left, right) easily, using either the apps or LCD.
Battery:
The LCD is charged using a type-c cable. Once fully charged, it last very long until it is needed for next charging. This is very handy if you want to move from room to room, carrying the LCD with you to monitor the baby room.
All in all, I would never expect such a superb quality product. I would strongly recommend this product! 5 star!
The quality of the camera is great. Everything is HD and the lag isn’t too bad, about 3 seconds delay.
However, the battery of the monitor dies very quickly, even after charging fully. Lasts about 2 hours max. Better to leave it plugged in wherever you sit in the house.
The camera doesn’t work without being plugged in, and if you unplug the wire, it takes ages to reset and set up again with the monitor.
So to sum up, the product is nice, good quality, but needs to be plugged in all the time.
Opening the box this product was nicely packaged. The Teddy bear style camera is pleasing on the eye and nice to touch. I used the app and this was easy to set up. Once you have pairied the camera to the monitor you have to press the back button twice on the monitor to get to the main screen and show the visual from the camera (this should be added in the manual) The features on the monitor are very nice, camera clarity is very good and brilliant night vision. The motion detection works very well and you have option to adjust the sensitivity. Other features such as feeding reminder are a nice touch and you can also check who has accessed the camera which is nice security feature. Two way audio, lullaby music and option for sd card are also included. There is also a section to register the warranty that looks straight forward. I dropped 1 star because of the light plasic build quality and I would like higher volume from the monitor (my phone gave higher volume). Considering everything this is a very nice little product and is value for money. It works well and has everything you need to know your little one is save and sound.
We’d done a lot of research and tried a few other models first: Kodak, BT, VTech etc. Unfortunately, all of them had issues. Great but you can’t connect phone and monitor at the same time; great but it keeps diconnecting; great but the battery runs out in 5 mins etc. Always something. We thought there wasn’t a solid baby monitor out there. And then we discovered this. It’s a company I’d not heard of before but will be paying more attention to. They have really done some good user testing here and the support is fantastic: quick and clear.
In all, this is the one you’re looking for. It does wifi, it does no wifi, it allows monitor and multiple phones over internet at the same time, it has an SD slot so no need for cloud storage but it has cloud if you want it, you can turn the ‘on’ led light off in the settings so it’s not annoying, it can pan up down left and right smoothly and without much delay; you can zoom; it connects and stays connected; you can choose SD, HD, FHD on the fly to adjust to you connection if it helps. Everything is there. Sorted. Impressed.
I’ve been using this camera for over a month now and am very pleased with its quality and functionality. I’d used an old IP camera with a phone app previously, which wasn’t ideal because of wear on the phone’s display and battery.
This camera has very good picture quality and connects easily to WiFi. The portable screen unit it comes with does the job well but you can, if you wish, also use with the IeGeek phone app (which can be useful out and about or for more than one person to access the camera). I haven’t used the movement detector much, but I tried it out initially and it works well. The adudio quality is very good and can pick up small baby sounds. Haven’t used the speak function though (which does work) because I don’t want to freak my baby out. The camera’s rotation capabilities are fine for me.
Overall, I like this camera and, if you have other IeGeek products, it will fit well within the company’s ecosystem.
The camera has been used for a week now, it’s packed with settings and has features for everyone. I will explain the pros and cons;
Pros
– Plenty of settings including motion sensor detection, safety protection to check whose watching the camera, feeding alarm options, noise detection alerts, sleep mode for camera and more.
– You can use monitor and app to check the camera, they both have settings you can fiddle with.
– You can change the angle of the camera using the monitor and app, almost 360 degrees.
– The camera looks very nice to the eye and goes well with a child’s room
– 2 USB-C chargers WITH plugs are provided (for camera and monitor)
– 2 Year warranty
– HD mode available using the app
Cons;
– The camera heavily relies on good WiFi connection which is a thing to consider
– The camera like many others needs to be always plugged in (not the monitor). The cable could be longer, otherwise your limited to were you can place it unless you get an extension cable.
– The monitor would have been better being touch screen, it feels a little flimsy and plastic for the price.
All in all its a good baby camera packed with features, ideal for the home. The camera looks cool and child friendly. I think it’s slightly too expensive for what it is but I’m not an expert in pricing.

The best thing is the extra monitor, so you don’t have to use your app while you are at home and only when away.

The smart video monitor is another well made camera from iegeek.
I have bought outdoor ieGeek security cameras and been really happy with them.
I ordered the camera and it arrived well packaged the next day.
I found it really quick and easy to set up and connect to the wi-fi.
The camera itself looks like a cute teddy bear head which I haven’t seen before. It also includes a monitor which is about the size of a phone, and you can also download the app so your phone can become another monitor. The picture and sound is really clear and I love that you can move the camera around 360 degrees and up and down just using the monitor, rather than going in to do it manually. Other good features it has are: night vision, 2 way talking, motion detection which sends you notifications and 14 lullaby options to play music easily from the app/monitor.
It comes with fixings for if you want to mount the camera to the wall but we haven’t used them

I got this baby monitor for visits from my daughter and grandchildren it is also great as a home security camera and pet watching set up in fact a good all round monitoring system, well worth the money.
The camera as a cute removable silicone hood with bunny ears to give the camera a character of its own, it also has fixings to mount the camera on the wall or ceiling, you can flip the camera recording image from the app or the included high definition monitor. The picture and sound quality is nice and chrisp, having a high definition 2k picture reproduction with night vision. You can operate the cameras functions from the handy monitor buttons or from your phone app, I tend to use the monitor as it provides a much easier option than having to rely on your mobile phone. The camera is very sensitive to sound and movement and the tracking response is spot on, the camera sends instant allerts to your monitor and mobile phone. You have the additional settings for feeding time allerts and temperature fluctuation. There is a two way communication feature with voice changing feature so you can add to the cameras character or use your own familiar comforting voice to calm your child. The camera also has a sleep sound feature to play music or comforting sounds such as static etc. You can set up an additional camera to your set up if needed for an extra room coverage. All in all this is an ideal protective comforting set up for your Loved ones and your peace of mind.

I have purchased 3 outdoor iegeek battery cameras in the past which I have been extremely happy with., so I naturally I always look at iegeek first. Camera arrived very quickly through prime, and was very easy to set up, it found my wifi immediately first time no messing about and was very easy to set up as soon as I switched the monitor on the picture was showing so it was linked immediately.
I’ve had a play around with it there’s a few things that stand out, the picture on my phone is amazing, the sound is good and the monitor will be brilliant to be able to keep an eye on what’s happening without entering the room and causing any disruption, there’s lots of features motion tracking, (which I tried to show in my pictures, just that it moved with my body movement) temperature, room humidity etc.
Cons: for me anywayyou had to download the app ie geek cam, my other cameras run off cloud edge? It would have been better for me that they was all on the same app, I can’t help but wondering why this is especially since I only bought last camera 2/3 weeks ago.
I also thought new technology was moving to Usb-c cables.
The Ptz is good but unless positioned really well the camera cannot Tilt beyond a certain point, so say for instance it was on a table it could look all around the room and give good view and upwards but if you wanted to tilt it right down to the floor it wouldn’t be able to do it, probably not something you’d want to do but worth mentioning.
But this camera is well built, picture is fantastic and very simple to set up.
The screen size is quite good and adequate for monitoring your baby without any disruption, the controls of the hand unit are easy to use, especially in the dark. Also, you can control the camera remotely from the hand unit with scaning the room or repositioning the camera without disturbing your baby.
The baby unit doesn’t need to be near your router for optimum efficiency at all. In addition to that, you can actually use your mobile phone (via ieGeek app) to do whatever the hand unit does so this feature was a huge plus for us.
Using the monitor through your mobile relies on wifi connectivity and it is compatible with our Virgin Media router and the signal is strong. Basically, the local display can also implement monitoring functions without any wifi while the mobile app should be connected to your wi-fi if you are looking to use your phone for monitoring purposes. Also, this baby monitor supports connecting two cameras at the same time.
Another helpful feature is motion detection that makes you aware when your baby moves around. This feature wasn’t available in our existing baby monitor so we were so pleased to see that is actually working with ieGeek quite well.
A thermometer and humidity censor is another great feature available on this monitor (we had to use another device for monitoring humidity level in the room) as it enables you to check the temperature as well as the humidity level in the room without disturbing your baby, alerting you if it’s too hot or cold or the humidity level is outside the figures previously set.
Night mode is working great just like day mode and it has three night vision modes, automatic (ICR)/color/black and white, which can easily be adjusted according to your needs.
The hand unit charges quickly but you wouldn’t desperately need it straight away as you can use your mobile phone while the parent unit is on charging mode.
Overall, we would strongly recommend this product to anyone without hesitation.
Wow…I need to write this review. When our son was born I did loads of research on baby monitors and I’m 3 children in (no more!)… I could not find a monitor that had a screen and app for use at the same time and actually worked well, with good battery life.
I have other iegeek cameras outside my house and have been very impressed, so I decided to try this out. I’m not disappointed!
The picture quality (up to QHD) is excellent and in fact better than my Nest IQ cameras were. The intercom is great, loads of lulaby choices and even a voice changer haha.
The temperature and humidity sensor was something missing from my last monitor and it can get really cold in my son’s room, so it’s nice to know when the click the heating on for him.
The screen is clear, both that and the app are very responsive too.

Crystal Clear Image: The image quality of the iEgeek 2k Baby Monitor is outstanding. Colors are vibrant, and the resolution is incredibly sharp, allowing me to see every detail of my baby, even in low light conditions.
Night Vision: Night vision is one of the key features for me, and this camera did not disappoint. Even when the room is dark, I can see my baby clearly..
Motion and Sound Alerts: The motion and sound alerts are incredibly useful. I receive notifications on my iPhone whenever my baby moves or makes a sound. This gives me peace of mind, even when I’m in another part of the house.
Easy to Install and Use: Setting up this camera was straightforward. The app is intuitive, and the Wi-Fi connection is stable.
Cons:
Cable: The cable input is USB/DC-5V, it could be a more current input.
Monitor: I would like to put my other ieGeek cameras on the same monitor.
