We have had quite a long time using this bottle to be able to write a more accurate review. Our past ion8 bottles have all leaked and I haven’t been impressed. However, this one has been much better. It has a great design and works perfectly for a sustained amount of time.
I got this for my three-year-old nephews and while I think this is a good bottle, they are a little too young for it. They’re not far off, but they still spill things from time to time and this bottle will leak if put down on its side. That’s not a problem with the bottle though!
It has a colourful design, similar to the play mats with a road design and both boys were interested in having the bottle.
The clip to release the lid is a bit stiff and I found I needed both hands to do the job, I don’t think many children will manage it. Otherwise, it’s easy for kids to hold and use. It has a large enough volume to last a good chunk of the day. It’s small enough though to fit in a buggy’s drink holder.
I’d say it’s good for day-to-day use while out and about, or for packed lunches.
Overall it is a plastic bottle. Nicely made and various attachment points to secure to a bag or just to handle and hold by.
The green cap is secured with a push down release switch on the front of the bottle. Feels a bit tough to press down and it does have a firm click to secure again. The main bottle material feels like a soft feel in the hand, not a hard plastic which I thought initially which is really good.
The design appears really inviting and I like it’s semi transparent so you know without opening how much is left.
The spout I felt could have been a soft plastic. As to its anti leak claim, well it did that superbly. Overall a solid little bottle and I like it has a wide opening to clean with a bottle brush or if you prefer it mentioned it is dishwasher safe.
This is a solid plastic water bottle, it’s easy enough for my kid to open and use himself. The pattern is bright and funky. I like that it isn’t too big (like so many bottles are nowadays) so fits easily into my bag and doesn’t weigh too much if I have to carry it around all day.
This Ion8 water bottle is really good and performs the expected function to an incredibly high standard thanks to the water tightness and ease of cleaning. It represents great value and I would highly recommend it to all.
This is a decent water bottle, easy to use and easy to clean. Good ‘road carpet’ design which will remind kids of home. Certain level of finger strength and dexterity required for the top which may not be suitable for younger children, 8+ will be fine. Good product.
Thrilled with this bottle, it looks fantastic and is perfect for any vehicle loving child!! It is accurate to description and easy for younger children to open and close. It hasn’t leaked for me, even when on its side! It is lightweight when filled and practical for children to hold. I’ve found it easy to clean too and that it is quite durable because it has been able to withstand getting dropped by my grandchildren. I’d definitely recommend this! It is great value.
Nice small bottle for little toddlers, although doesn’t come with the straw so I needed to buy that for my 2 year old. He does struggle to open it himself but it’s fine for at home with me. Fun bright design.

I have never had an issue with an Ion8 bottle.
There don’t seem to leak and do store water well.
I would say this bottle is for the younger child due to the size, 350ml is not enough for child above grade 2 with the amount of water they should drink daily whilst in school hours.
I will say like any “plastic compound bottle” the life of the bottle can be questionable with clumsy children.
My boys have this ability to drop bottles on the most weakest part and manage to break a hinge, lid, lip or crack the bottle. This bottle will hold up to general use and a non clumsy child. But if you child has butter fingers best just get them something else.
This Ion8 Kids Water Bottle may be small but it’s mighty. Made of BPA free, non-toxic and carbon neutral Recyclon plastic, it’s robust and holds 350ml. Unlike many designs, there’s no built-in straw but a wide spout, which makes for easy drinking.
The bottle is leakproof and has a push-button opening mechanism – a safety lock to prevent accidental opening in a backpack or school bag.
My almost 5 year old grandson is able to fill and tighten up this bottle without it leaking. It also comes out completely clean when I wash it in the sink, with no hard-to-reach areas where dirt and bacteria could be left to linger.
I like this Recyclon plastic bottle much more than the stainless steel version which is a bit bigger at 400ml, but the stainless steel one is badly dented already after just a few months and is used just for school. It’s more expensive too.
This one is perfect for my grandson.
Fantastic little bottle made from nice material and has rubber seal to stop leaks. A little pricey for a bottle but seems durable to last a long time. It has a push button and safety lock so the button doesnt accidentally get pressed. The only issue is that the tiny hole on the lid causes it to leak if its not placed upright.
At 12.99 this is water bottle is on the pricey side. My daughter doesn’t handle bottles with much care when using for sport, school or general playing, so I wouldn’t be paying that price to replace all of the time. That being said, when my daughter dropped the bottle, it didn’t mark/dent and hasn’t leaked or cracked yet.
The design is nice and I’m sure other designs are just as cute. Most importantly for me, thr bottle doesn’t leak and washes easily, even being dishwasher friendly. I also like that there is no need for a straw, reducing the nasty build up of residue.
We have bought so many ION8 bottles because they are always excellent quality and have taken an absolute battering from our three kids. They are superb and this is no exception! Dishwasher safe which makes cleaning a breeze and very hardy which means they can take a lot of tough treatment. The design on the bottle itself is lovely and our son loves it. It’s his new go-to bottle! Excellent!
This water bottle from ion8 looks smart and is so cool. It is definitely leak proof, which is the main criterion for every parent of little kids. This bottle features quite an attractive artwork. My kids love it.
There’s an integrated carry handle but I think that would be more appropriate for bigger kids to use as it’s a bit tight to grip onto it in order to release it.
Overall I’m quite pleased with this water bottle, and a bonus is that it fully dishwasher safe! Definitely well worth the investment.
These bottles are absolutely unbeatable – cannot recommend enough.

This will last you a very long time and they are eco friendly too. We have 3 of these now and I’m saving this for when my son starts nursery in September. I anticipate I will not have to get another one for the entire year either as these are so hardwearing. They’re expensive bottles at 10ish but so so worth it.
Lovely Kid’s Water Bottles
I already have a similar pink water bottle, and I decided to get this green one for my daughter to use in the nursery.
Easy to hold, and my daughter can unlock it with no issues
Overall, it is working as expected, and I am thrilled!
This is a 350ml water bottle – great size for pre schoolers.
Has a great car design on it, and the bottle is transparent so you can see the water levels at a glance.
BPA free, easy to clean, and dishwasher friendly.
Has a carry handle on the back of the lid, and a lock on the front to keep it closed and prevent it leaking if you throw it in your bag.
Nice and bright – my little one loves it and took it to nursery as soon as he got it.

The transparent green on the bottle itself is gorgeous, I might even keep it myself! Sorry nephew! The print is adorable, reminiscent of the cool car playing mats.
The lock and hanging mechanism are great, it’s easy to drink from and has no strange tastes. It doesn’t glug and is easy to clean too.
It’s incredibly rugged, too! For some reason, my dog (great dane, so not small either!) was fascinated with it as soon as it arrived and has essentially bonded with it. He’s been carrying it around all day. He’s tried gnawing on it and dropped it on the slabs in the garden, and there’s not a mark on it. No scuffs at all! (also why the nephew is getting a replacement, lol)

A very nice bottle to carry around during the day. The lock is tight and cannot be easily opened for security reasons.
The bottle can be easily opened by a child on its own.
The design is excellent, and my children like it. Additionally, the included hook is very comfortable to wear.
