No buzz!! I already recommended this unit to a fellow musician. My other distortion pedals all had a buzz but this thing is superb (and cost less than my others). Would highly recommend it for lead guitar players and/or other players. thanks!!
I picked this up for use on a minimal pedalboard (boost, overdrive, delay, reverb). My goal was good sounding, useable algorithms with no-brainer tweakability at a reasonable price. This pedal fit the bill perfectly.
I’m really impressed with this pedal. As a reference point my usual setup is a Strat or a Les Paul through a Vox VT40X modelling amp simulating an AC30. When played with the Strat the Tauren generates a lovely, subtly thickened bluesy tone just on the edge of breakup, and with the Les Paul the result is a more powerful overdrive, but not too saturated. Whether used as a gentle boost or moderate overdrive the tones this pedal is capable of are far greater than its modest price tag would suggest.
This is a great Reverb pedal! I absolutely love it!
There’s some fantastic not so common algorithms to use that add some glorious Reverbs to your tone.
I absolutely adore the lighting at the top and bottom of the pedal which is made all the more awesome in how you can sync it to the effect being used while the pedal is on or constantly on. There isn’t one bad choice of effect either. All the selections are usable and sound fantastic. The spring Reverb is so authentic, you’d think it was an actual Reverb tank!
The build quality is fantastic and the price is absolutely unbeatable for what you get!
The only problem is it doesn’t have Stereo outputs / inputs. It’s not a massive problem but would have been a good addition.
I’ve had a digital delay voiced to sound like an analogue delay for a while, but really wanted the real thing, and this popped up in a search. The sound is pretty much as you would expect from a BBD pedal – relatively low fidelity and comparatively short maximum delay time. I’ve always liked the way the fidelity of the repeats reduce with each echo, and this pedal does not disappoint in that regard. It is also possible to crank up the repeats to get louder for those classic dub effects.
Looking through the reviews there does seem to be a small question mark over the reliability of Joyo pedals, but I have had a handful of them for a while without any issues.
The Klon Centaur is of course a much wanted pedal – this has most of the sound for a fraction of the price. Sounds really good to my ear and doesn’t hiss much at all, even with the gain turned up. The metal enclosure gives me hope this will last!
There is a lot to discover when you buy this pedal. Never mind the manufacturer’s descriptions of the effects, find out for yourself what they do and be sure to use the MOD knob across its range. There is a lot of fun to be had. The various reverbs are all distinctive and usable, the shimmer being a particularly pleasant one.
The general sound quality is very fine, especially considering the price.
Mine is a permanent fixture on the pedal board and is always on.
Overall I would recommend this unit strongly to anyone who is curious about a wide range of reverbs and/or wishes to give each song a different texture.
I was looking for a reverb pedal, and opted for this one as I love weird and wacky. The only thing I will say is that the weird is quite weird and wacky quite wacky.
A lot of the modes on this aren’t that usable, and would be great to have a bit more accessibility between “slight reverb” and “too much reverb!”.
If you’re looking for just a reverb pedal, I’d go elsewhere. If you want to mess around with sounds whilst still having a reverb pedal that can do the job, go for this one!
I’d done a lot of research on budget reverbs, and this one came up many times on youtube reviews so I pulled the trigger.
Of course you never really know for sure until it turns up – but i was not dissapointed
Can easily handle all your ‘standard’ reverb tasks PLUS can go full on ambient
Lovely pedal, crazy low price- highly recommended!
Great pedal, 8 different distortion pedals in one at a great price. You can try the different sounds and if one suits you buy the real pedal. At this low price its a great way to try the sounds out. Well done Joyo.
This is a clone of an outrageously expensive legendary pedal. Does it match up? No idea, cannot afford klon money and have never used one. As an overdrive pedal it sounds great I have had great fun with it. Very transparent and makes a great clean boost. Stacks well with other pedals. I just can’t fault it for the money. I also have the Joyo taichi pedal which I prefer but it all comes down to personal taste. You can never have too many drive pedals and this is well worth a go.
I have a lot of guitar fx pedals also multi fx pedals. There are positives to this pedal and one or two points to be aware of. On the plus side:- Looks good. A range of fx and two capable of being used at the same time via the two footswitches. It’s capable of stereo operation.
I found that using both A and B channels simultaeneuosly did not produce a dip in volume. If you want to activate a second effect mid song this is helpful. The “Control” dial (one for each channel) makes only subtle changes to the chosen effect. The effects themselves are fine, some more practical than others arguably. I found the flanger, phase and chorus fx to be very respectable.
I read it’s a clone of the Friedman but it has nowhere near the same amount of gain. It is good though with enough on tap for most things and a boost in front will get a chug. The bias is a bit like Blackstars ISF so you can eq between mesa and marshall.
Overall solid pedal , cool lights and sounds better than any other pedal I love had at this price
It is early days and so I can’t vouch for it’s long term endurance, however, this is incredible value with lots of usable options. I have quite a few pedals, mostly more expensive and it doesn’t feel out of place. It doesn’t add unwanted noise at sensible levels and blends well with other pedals.
I am so far very impressed with this Aquarius pedal although I’ve not had time yet to explore every possible setting. I guess I’m classed as a ‘bedroom’ guitarist but I do like to play in the dark (stops me looking at the fretboard as much) and the ambient lighting of the pedal creates a different atmosphere. It comes well packaged but if you like to run your pedals on batteries this does not have that facility. However you can get an adaptor, whereby, you can connect a 9v battery to the 9v DC input.
