Great set from lego they always know how to create a decent build set. Perfect quality bricks with simple to follow instructions what is not to like. A simple build but this doesn’t detract from the absolute quality and design. Lego alway knocks the ball out of the park and this is proven again here.
I really like the design of this moon buggy the moveability of the wheels is really clever
This build took around 45 mins to complete has some cute little aliens,
2 mini-figures the build has a couple of printed bricks and no stickers to apply.
The space collection is a positive take on the city collection something different my son loves it.
Good quality bricks easy clear instructions to follow.
Currently priced at 19.99 at time of review.this is the LEGO city space explorer..
This is something my 7 yr old great nephew will love building and playing with
The best thing about Lego is you can combine other bits to each set.
The space explorer has working bits such as 6 wheels and opening of doors..
Happy to recommend
Can’t go wrong with lego
This medium-small Lego Space Explorer Rover and Alien Life set is a lovely addition to the Lego City Space range, either as a stand alone set or to complement other pieces, such as the shuttle launch and space station. The set is built over 4 bags of bricks, which are worked through sequentially to create natural stopping points for younger users if needed. I love the detail of the section of alien planet terrain (complete with a really cool, clear plastic crystal-shaped brick) and two little alien life forms, and it’s nice that this is a set about exploration and documenting the friendly-looking little aliens – there’s a little wheeled explorer unit and a camera for one of the astronauts to carry, rather than weapons.
The instructions are, as always for Lego, clear and well-presented with everything clearly depicted and in full colour, as you would expect from Lego. It’s much easier to follow this style of presentation than instructions which present previous stages to your construction in grey, and only currently adding bricks in colour.
The set is aimed at children of six+. My little nephew is almost five and a half and did need quite a bit of support with this build, but is very pleased with it now that it’s made. The set makes up to a really nice, useable toy rather than a display piece.
This Lego City space explorer rover set is priced at 24.99 and great value for money when you consider the valuable time spent putting the set together with your children. MY 7 and 10 year old followed the instruction manual with its step by step image guide and completed the set in a couple of hours. Great for gifting to lego fans
This Lego space set is a brilliant addition to the city collection.
It’s age range is 6+ and that is about right, our 8 year old enjoyed building it and he loved the aliens.
It doesn’t take long to build (less than an hour) but as it has moving parts and he enjoyed playing with it once built and using his imagination.
We are HUGH Lego fans at our house so any and all manner of arrivals always make us smile. This one is the LEGO City Space Explorer Rover and Alien Life Set and we’re LOVING this new collection.
As always with LEGO, great quality, really simple and easy to follow instructions and the ability to download the 3D LEGO Builder app which can take you step by step too. All bricks come in numbered bags, and I love the unique colour of this set so you know they all belong to one collection of LEGO.
Great value and fun for all ages. Can highly recommend.
Lego set 60431 space explorer rover and alien life. The set comes in a colourful box, showing you the completed model on the front and back. You get to make a 6 wheeled rover bugger to drive around and explore. The rover has suspension to navigate the toughest terrain. Great attention to detail, the cockpit will fit 2 figures inside. Theres also a small planet scene to make with 2 alien figures inhabiting it. Alot to explore and play with. You get 2 figures included, little robot and 2 alien figures. Inside everything is contained in bags, you can locate each piece easily and follow each part in the correct order. The instruction manual is well illustrated, with clear images that are easy to understand and follow, with each piece being recognisable. The set contains 311 pieces. Fun and colourful. Brilliant quality as expected. Theres nothing to dislike about the set. Not just a quick make, a fun playset to create and then play with after.
This Lego set contains 311 pieces and is designed for ages 6+, my son who is a Lego fanatic took roughly 45 minutes to fully assemble, he always has “spare” pieces but the overall build looks fantastic.
The set includes a 6 wheeled space rover, 1 x geyser setting, 2 x space crew minifigures, 1 x toy robot and 2 x alien figures that are cute!
This set is part of the Lego city space range and can be combined with other sets to make a space theme.
The rover buggy has nice features, it has 6 large wheels to help combat the Martian terrain! A back door where the robot is stored, a double cockpit to store the minifigures, the suspension works well and it is fun to use.
Overall, this is a nice set and it is very reasonably priced currently at 24.99, nicely designed with good features, my favourites are the aliens and the geyser scene, I thought this was a nice touch, can be used alone or added along side another set for extra fun, you can’t go wrong with Lego! Thank you.
This is part of Lego’s space series but is worth every penny for my child. He enjoyed assembling this together similar to other Lego sets that he has. He now has this displayed in his special display shelf for everyone that visits our house.
It is great to see that Lego has different varieties of levels for the kids and comes in different prices. I love the kids enjoy building and playing and it is a lot of fun doing it together.
I got this space rover and the space ship because the kids are into space stuff now and I have to say it was greatly received by them.
It’s easy enough to put together and it gives the kids lots of fun while learning and they have a toy to play with after they’ve built it.
The kids have a collection of lego that they’ve collected over the years and it’s great that lego bring out new designs every year so kids never get bored with the same ones
I can’t beat lego for birthday presents where there’s kids, it’s always greatly received
This is a fun little Lego set. It’s the good quality you would expect from Lego. All the bricks were included. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. My eight year old built this quickly by herself, so I think the age guidance is correct. She and her little brother have really enjoyed playing with it.
We are big space fans so we had absolute fun building this.
The space rover is a good size and felt it was a very reasonable build without being too complicated. We got stuck a few times but quickly reverted back to the instructions and quickly followed through.
The detail to it is superb and I love the little aliens
Just like all Lego sets, this explorer rover is really good. The colours are vibrant, the surfaces are smooth, and the components are well-made. They fit together easily, and there are lots of details in the structure with an overall quality finish. Additionally, there is no concern about any sharp edges that could pose a risk — it is all safe and secure.
The versatility of combining parts and pieces from different sets to create diverse structures is what makes Lego so amazing!
As a parent, I like that this set enables my little one, who loves building things, to be able to create his own stuff and mix things up. It keeps him entertained for hours. Moreover, the building process isn’t merely fun; it is also great for honing his manual dexterity.
To sum it up, this set is perfect for little builders, with easy-to-handle parts that are simple to put together and help them develop problem-solving skills.
This is a Lego set for the already adept Lego fan enjoying the out in space adventures. It comes complete with a beautifully designed space rover, the geyser and alien life setting, two space crew mini figures and robot and alien figures.
The space exploration vehicle has six large tyres and a tough suspension which is a lot of fun going over obstacles, as would be expected on a planet rocky surface.
One of the most outstanding features of this set is the construction guide, which is via the LEGO builder App. It enables to zoom in, providing 3D information and tracking progress.
This set has 311 pieces which may be quite difficult for the novice. There are many quite small pieces so it’s definitely not suitable for younger children than specified by the manufacturer. Also it would probably be too difficult to build on their own.
This set is top quality and doesn’t disappoint in anyway. At 24.98 at the time of writing this review, it is reasonably priced considering it is from the renowned Lego brand. Highly recommended.
This is fun and educational space explorer set for little adventurers (and their parents too). While I’m not usually a Lego city enthusiast, this particular set grabbed my attention and my son’s. Putting it together with my him was a blast with easy to follow instructions, which is typical for Lego, they never disappoint here. Even an 8-year-old could tackle most of the build independently, thanks to the clear and detailed guide. The six-wheeled rover with working suspension and a detailed cabin is pure playtime fun. The little astronaut mini figures, robot and alien figures spark endless ‘space fun’ – we had a blast creating imaginative stories. Obviously, this set can be combined with any other lego set and this is what i like about lego – full compatibility. So when we combined this set with other Lego city space set we got even bigger galactic playground.
What needs to be mentioned – compared to some pricier Lego sets, this one offers a lot of content at a reasonable price. While this set is suitable for 6+ some smaller parts and building steps might require adult assistance for younger builders. But overall its a winner for space-obsessed kids and those seeking a fun and educational building experience. Recommended.
The LEGO City Explorer Rover set is a brilliant set for any 6+ year old. The detailed space environment is perfect for role-playing and imaginative play, and the included minifigures add an extra level of fun. The set is also a great learning tool, as it helps children develop their fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities. The attention to detail in this set is impressive, with a wide range of accessories (Robot and alien figures) and features that bring this set to life. The set itself is full of fun accessories, and the minifigures are well-designed and highly detailed. Instructions are quite detailed so kids can build the set on their own. My son loves Lego City sets and has quite a few in his collection and was very pleased with this set. He loved the space explorer but most of all he loved the aliens.
Overall, the LEGO Explorer Rover set is a brilliant. It provides hours of entertainment for kids. It’s a great addition to any LEGO collection. Reasonably priced too. Would make a brilliant gift for your loved ones. Highly recommended.
Hope you find this review helpful.
This LEGO space explorer rover comes with two sufficiently distinctive minifigure astronauts and two cute little green aliens which are just heads and tentacles. Presentation and build quality are up to the high standards I expect from LEGO. The rover has a fairly simple design, it has no steering system and large pieces that make it easy to build. It however does offer a lot of dynamic play opportunities – the back hatch opens and there is impressive suspension so the rover can navigate bumpy terrain. It houses a smaller unmanned mini vehicle and the crew and aliens have their accessories too so there’s a lot included overall.
This is an excellent LEGO set for younger kids, my nephews love spaceships the most but they still loved this space rover, it’s much better suited to ground level play and makes a good addition to any space collection.
Part of the Lego City Space Series.
Suitable for ages 6+ will entertain most kids til around 12/13
Well designed and good looking kit.
Includes two minifigs
311 pieces and easy to assemble.
I love Lego City – it’s one of my absolute favourites because they always have moving parts and seem to have a lot more detail about them than the themed sets.
This one is no different – it has 6 wheels, all have suspension springs on so it moved very smoothly and drives great. The detail in the cockpit is great and it has a little hinged storage area at the back too. The fact it’s space / alien themed impressed my nephew so much, he loved the little green aliens 🙂
As always with Lego, the instructions are superb and easy to follow, my nephew is 9 and built this completely by himself with no issues, and hasn’t left it alone since. He’s played with it non-stop and has added in a Ninjago dragon in space somewhere along his story, got to love their imagination.
This is such a good value pack, it seems to be a much bigger build than a lot of other more expensive sets so you definitely feel like you’re getting your moneys worth from it.
This is a really cool little set. I’m not the biggest fan of Lego City, although the sets remind me of the sets that were around when I was a kid, these days they sometimes feel a bit boring compared to a lot of the licensed stuff that Lego put out now. I thought this one was really cool though. I make a lot of Lego with my 8 year old nephew to give us something to do together when I look after him (that isn’t a screen) and he really liked this set too. I guess it’s because it’s space stuff and that is a bit cooler than regular Lego City. Making it was fairly simple, he did most of it himself and in fairness could have done it all without me if it wasn’t for the fact that we do the building together, so actually putting it together and following the instructions is pretty easy and I think the 6+ age bracket is fair.
The rover itself is pretty cool. It has full suspension with little shocks on the front wheels and full tilting action on the back. There are quite a few little detail bricks that give it a fun shape and more interesting look and the little cabin in the back with storage space is a nice touch. The little alien minifigs are cute and fun and pretty unique. If you like to play with your Lego, or have kids that like to play, this is a really good set for that. My nephew was really into the fact that it was a cool car looking thing with loads of moving bits. The flip side of Lego City sometimes being a bit boring is that it’s actually pretty good value as far as a Lego goes and I think this set follows that trend, you get quite a lot here, the rover is solid, the minifigs are cool and there are quite a few fun, little detailed printed blocks. It’s a great set, one fo the better Lego City sets in my opinion, my nephew really enjoyed it and I thought it was cool too.
