Honest is the best policy so you should know that these sets are got mostly for myself as a cheap form of therapy for my mental and physical dexterity, but once built and dismantled again I do pass them on so the review is mostly my experience and would not reflect a child’s version of building these kits.

Being like large robots with a human controller these are a new way to build Lego to me and at just over 200 pieces are obviously very good value at under 14, the build was relatively easy although I did find popping the arms and legs into position a bit tough, I do have mobility and dexterity issues but I could definitely see some children struggling with these parts too, I also found it quite hard to keep Sora in place inside the robot suit but she did eventually stay there.

They definitely seem to be robust enough to play with and the inclusion of weapons although frowned upon these days seems justified to me with the whole idea being a kind of futuristic Ninja thing, the imagination is going to soar when playing with these and two or more kids with one each could be a long night of gaming or a very long weekend, they really do have a lot of playability and can even mix and match the armor between various Ninjago sets, definitely a great Birthday or Christmas gifting idea.

As usual from the Lego house, this is a quality set with detailed, clear instructions and a satisfying build. Now if you are not familiar with Ninjago, essentially it is a fantasy world where they can battle villains and build mechs, dragons, jets, vehicles and temples. In this set you get this large ninja like mechanoid, , equipped with a 2 toy katana weapons and a smaller Wolf Mask Claw warrior mini figure. At just over 200 pieces this isn’t a complicated build, but will still keep younger children engaged for quite awhile.
As an introduction to Ninjago, it’s okay, although personally I feel there are more engaging sets out there, because if you own this on its own, you will just end up with a giant action ninja figure, which is nothing new or inventive in my mind. The set really comes alive when you have other Ninjago figures to swap parts with.

Building Sora’s Elemental Tech Mech is not just an activity; it’s an adventure into creativity and innovation. This LEGO NINJAGO set stands out for its unique blend of design and imagination, making it an instant favorite among young LEGO enthusiasts.

The design of the tech mech itself is a testament to the creativity that LEGO NINJAGO embodies. Its sleek lines and intricate details are not only visually appealing but also capture the adventurous spirit of the NINJAGO series. The tech mech serves as a fantastic centerpiece for play, sparking imaginations and setting the stage for epic battles and adventures.

What truly elevates this playset is the inclusion of katanas. These weapons add an extra layer of excitement and action, allowing kids to immerse themselves in the role of a ninja warrior. It’s not just about building; it’s about creating stories and scenarios, with the mech at the center of the action.

The Sora minifigure is another highlight of this set. The attention to detail in its design is remarkable, bringing authenticity and a personal touch to the play experience. Sora becomes the hero of every adventure, providing a character that kids can relate to and root for. This minifigure adds depth to the play, making each battle and mission feel more real and engaging.

The building challenge presented by this set is thoughtfully tailored to suit children aged 7 and older. The complexity is just right for this age group, striking a balance between being challenging enough to be engaging, yet not so difficult as to be frustrating. As young builders piece together their tech mech, they experience a sense of achievement and pride in their creation. This set not only promotes creativity but also aids in the development of fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities.

In conclusion, Sora’s Elemental Tech Mech is more than just a toy; it’s a tool for creative expression and imaginative play. It encourages kids to not only build but to create their own unique ninja machines and stories. The set is an excellent choice for parents looking to provide their children with an engaging, rewarding, and educational play experience. Highly recommended for young LEGO fans and aspiring ninjas!

This set is built for play rather than a display piece. It feels durable and should stand up to the rigours of play. Great attention to detail and fantastic quality as you would expect from lego.

    Really good product, would recommend.

My son, 7, loves Lego ninjago and this is another great one. Though we feel Lego can be expensive the item itself is great. Would make a great birthday present and can be played with on its own or with other Lego. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. You can view the instruction booklet online too which is a great feature that my son likes. The box is colourful. Suitable for 7+

My 7 year-old grandson has been collecting these Tech Mech figures and was delighted to add another one to his collection.

As one would expect from Lego, this 209-piece kit comes with comprehensive, easy-to-follow instructions. Also included are two mini figures.

The reason my grandson loves this series so much is that the components from each set are interchangeable, so you can design your own custom-built robots and create new scenarios over and over again.

This took him about 45 minutes to complete, and he managed alone without any adult help.

Would definitely recommend this and other Tech Mech sets as affordable gifts that will bring hours of fun to the recipient.

My son loved making this- he found the instructions easy to follow and it wasn’t particularly technical. He felt that 7+ was appropriate. He liked the white and gold colour scheme. One made Sora sits within the head area of the Mech which opens at the front to allow her in/out but you could sit her in without opening it. She sits in an open cockpit with no roof. He liked how the Mech can be broken down into body, limbs and head whilst they are fighting but these pieces are all very easy to clip back together as they are ball and socket joints. He thought the tree was a bit bare and would have liked more detail/foliage but liked the bright pink and thought it went well with the set. Sora has a cute hair piece and the Wolf Warrior has some great claws and a back piece that can be used to pretend Wolf can fly/glide

I am a fan of the Ninjago series and this mech set is fantastic. It has incredible details and even a katana! The best bit is it is customisable so parts can be swapped from other mechs to create your own custom one.

It’s fun to build and create a collection.

Got this for my daughter as she loves NinjaGo cartoon and she loves this set.
It is reasonably easy for my 8 year old to build it on her own… almost because I was very kin to help her;) it took her/us about 45 min to assembly everything.
The set has just over 200 pieces and two mini figures. It comes in two paper bags as part of Lego going eco friendly but there were still two little plastic bags for smaller pieces.
This tech mech is very stable when done and it is easy to just put it up right. It is much easier to keep it up right than my little set of iron man tech mech which is a little bit of pain to keep it up right. Legs as well as arms move in every direction so you can set it up as you like. 200 pieces doesn’t sound a lot but it has plenty of moving parts like fingers, spinning blade, legs, shoulder armour, Sora’s front hatch, and even Katanas has some moving parts too.
I am not sure what that little tree means to do but it is common in Lego sets to have some sort of background objects included.
This set is interchangable with other very similar sets but with different characters and design of tech mechs so you can design your own unique tech mech using legs, arms, weapons, torso and heads. Imagination is your limit if you have money to spend on other few sets.
Overall, this set is pretty good and fun to play with especially if you are the fun of NinjaGo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good set with two mini figures
