I wanted a second monitor so i didnt want to spend too much, i found this monitor and i have been very impressed with it especially for getting it for only 90
Great price as similar screens were going for way more with similar specs.
Very happy with this purchase, my partner saw this and now wants one too!!

Quickly delivered and now in place. I use the monitor as a main screen on a windows PC and it is doing the job well. Controls are a bit fiddly one of those joystick things. In general monitor controls are not easy. As monitors go this one is OK.
After calibrating the screen I’m highly impressed with the monitor especially for the price. LG has done really well with this 1080p screen. Only downside is it doesn’t have a DisplayPort for a modern gaming monitor but weirdly has the super old connection which I forget what it’s called and one HDMI port.
We used it as a monitor for a racing simulator and the only negative would be the space between the mounting points being too short, the thread for the screws are quite small (I believe they are size M4), leading to being quite unstable while mounted in a monitor stand. The TV itself is very good, specially for the price paid
It did not disappoint! straight out of the box, it was easy to set up, just plug and play, which is what you want from a monitor. the picture quality is first rate, and very sharp, which is perfect for my old eyes.

Initially i was looking for portable monitor like 13, 14, 15.6″ etc. However, i had bad experience about portable monitor which the screen is really fragile, it broke easily. and then i just found actually 22″, even 24″ monitor is even cheaper than portable monitor, the brand is LG instead of some unknown brand who make the portable monitor. so i just changed my mind to get this LG 22″
everything looks good, just the speaker is not working, I have tried it on at least 2 laptops with HDMI connection, none of them make the speaker works. Anyway, it is not a big deal as i do not expect i will use the monitor speaker actually
The ‘LG Electronics Monitor 22MR410-B, 22 Inch, Full HD 1080p, 100Hz, 5ms GtG, VA Panel’ arrived in a branded.
In total I ordered three of these monitors to replace my ageing Acer monitors that although were 2ms they were all 15 years old, and one died, but with three of these costing what just one of the previous monitors did, I decided I could live with the slower response time.
These are the same size as my previous monitors so went straight onto the hydraulic arms that have attached to my desk and have quick detach VESA 100×100 mounts. I had looked at several other monitors though of those that actually mentioned the VESA size, most were 75×75, and although the plates for the arms could have been easily modified, I had better things to be doing.
It only took me a couple of minutes to adjust the new monitor’s positions to accommodate the thinner bezel. And to keep the aligned where I wanted, I used a simple Baby Drawer Lock on the back to hold their position, but which could be unlocked in seconds should I need to work on a monitor, and being almost black in colour, they were unnoticeable.
Picture quality is good, though the brightness was so much I am sure they could be seen on the moon, after a couple of other tweaks to the settings they were ready to go. I am using the monitors primarily for photo and video editing.
The one thing I found most annoying as the designers had not really considered all user applications and that is having the power and control switch on the rear of the monitor, making it hard to operate depending on where the monitor is mounted. My previous monitors had the switch on the front, and others I have on the bottom edge. In my case I have to turn off all monitors or at least 2 and 3 to ensure monitor 1 is the primary monitor on start up.
I know it’s a big ask, but it would be nice if the manufacturers included screws for the VESA mount, and made it abundantly clear on the length of the screw by showing a dimensioned drawing of the screw. I had to phone LG to verify the length, as it wasn’t clear if the dimension they gave was of the threaded section or the overall length, which I have become wary of these days as way too often I have seen screw sizes incorrectly identified.
I have been considering of late getting a fourth monitor as a spare on the off chance one of these 3 fails at some point.
Really nice monitor. I use it for my PS5 at my desk and it looks really nice! Doesn’t have built in speakers, so I had to buy some to plug into the audio jack port. No USB port at the back either, so if I want to connect another device like my iPad, I will need an adapter.
The monitor settings are accessed by tilting the power button that’s like a joystick. It has screen mode settings like game, picture, cinema, reader mode, and modes for power saving too. I think it’s really cool it all comes from one button so I don’t have to fiddle around behind the TV to press the right one.
The monitor leans forward at a tilt by default. Manual up/down tilt is possible but requires a bit of firm force.
This is a great monitor. The picture is excellent, and it’ll run up to 100Mhz.
My only trouble was finding the “on” switch … you need to press the joystick button on the positioned on the lower right of the back of the monitor. I may have missed something, but I couldn’t find anything in the Quick Start guide and needed to go online for a manual!
Fortunately I read the review posted by Morse where he mentions the picture was lacking in sharpness, but that this can be altered in the settings. I noticed the same on startup.
It would seem that LG have set the default to be as low energy as possible with little regard to the quality of the image. Using the joysick button on the rear of the monitor.
Like Morse I used the settings to switch off the energy saving, and used the ‘super resolution’ setting , the picture was instantly transformed into a very good picture.
So good that I am now ordering another one as I use twin screens and this one shows up the image quality in my other monitor.
The display is very bright, clear, well-defined. Very happy with it.
Subsequently tried it with a machine that can push 100Hz out of it. Just fabulous, to my eyes, but I don’t have anything to compare it with.
A good picture hence the 5stars but has the worst instructions/set up details of anything I can remember buying from Amazon – there is no indication of how to adjust anything and there are no buttons apart from one on the back which appears to do nothing – I only found this button by chance but what it is supposed to do is a mystery to me – some mention of this should be in the instructions
I am pleased with the picture but unless you know what you are doing I would not recommed this for the reasons stated

This monitor has much less resolution, so text is blurrier, but still overall usable, and most importantly I don’t seem to get stressed using it, due to it having almost 6x less pixels at a similar size. Odd I know, but given my health I think I’m going to stick with this screen, at least for now. If you’re just looking for a cheap screen you can’t go wrong with this. Solid, uniform IPS panel, 100Hz, HDMI with headphone pass-through and YouTube videos look great. What more could you want for 90?
The only problem I’ve had with it is the resolution, as I use this on a computer I can use AMD software to upscale resolutions to give performance. However I cannot do this with this monitor as it sets its own resolution whether I like it or not.
Apart from that it’s a great monitor just locked down a bit.
When first out of the box, I was disappointed – the picture was lacking in sharpness, brightness or contrast, so my first feeling was that I might be sending it back. I mean, I know you get what you pay for, and this one is not too expensive, but still it needed to look better than this.
I tried connecting via HDMI and D-Sub, with no difference in the quality.
I also had not found any way to change the contrast or brightness, but I might have missed that in the instructions. Eventually, just as I was deciding this was as good as it gets, I pressed the only button on the back, thinking it would switch it off, and it brought up the settings option. Duh.
After switching off the energy saving, and raising the ‘super resolution’, the picture was instantly transformed into a very good picture.
And when connected to HDMI, the refresh rate can be changed in ‘Advanced display settings’ in Windows, and now, it looks good at 60, 75 or 100Hz.
OK, I understand the aim for energy conservation, but at the same time, LG almost lost my faith, as the quality of picture is just too washed out when you first look at the default picture. I used my plug in wattage monitor to see that, on high resolution and with energy saving turned off, this monitor is using less than 14 Watts while the snooker is on TV, which is very good indeed.
Compared to my 15yr old 19 inch monitor, which weighed over 8Kg and used 35W, this 21.5 inch LG is just 2Kg in weight and uses less than 14W, so with just a couple of setting changes, I’m now glad I bought it.
Only one other complaint: – there are never any wall mount screws provided – you could at least tell me what diameter screw and what the max safe length should be. (It needs four M4 screws about 10mm length for anyone that wants to know).
But in the end it’s worth 5 stars for value and quality, once it’s set up to your liking.
