I am a firm believer in taking collagen supplements especially now I am getting older. This is by far the most pleasant way to take collagen that I have tried. You take 3 smallish tablets a day, that’s it really, there’s no awful fish taste or smell and no greasy fatty powder to dissolve and swallow. I take all three tablets in one go and I actually do not mind taking these as they are easy to swallow. I find that collagen plumps my skin up a bit and helps with aching joints. You get a 40 day supply and these are reasonably priced compared to some collagen products.
These supplements arrive in a plastic bottle that is 10.7cm tall and has a diameter of 5.1cm. The plastic used in the bottle is polyethylene terephthalate (PET or PETE), which should be widely recyclable.
The lid does not have a childproof lock, so unscrews easily.
The tablets themselves are 1.5cm long. With their rounded shape and smooth outer surface they are quite easy to swallow, so this shouldn’t be an issue for most.
According to the directions on the label, the dosage is to take 3 tablets daily. This means that as the bottle contains 120 tablets, this bottle should provide enough to last approximately just over a month and one week (40 days).
Each tablet is said to contain:
500mg Marine Collagen
12mg Vitamin C
According to the label the other ingredients include: Fish Collagen, Ascorbic Acid, Anti-Caking Agents (Silica, Magnesium Stearate), Bulking Agent (Microcrystalline Cellulose).
These supplements are not suitable for either Vegetarians or Vegans. They are said to be manufactured in the UK, and are Gluten, Wheat and Lactose free.
The bottle I received had a best before date of 12 months from the time I received it.
In conclusion, it is always hard to recommend supplements, because what works for one may not work for another. However, for those wanting to try taking fish collagen, these are an easy to swallow option.

These are a little chalky in texture but quite small so easy enough to swallow. I can’t say I’ve noticed a huge in my skin etc however I do think that these things are difficult to quantify sometimes. I’m of the mind that every little helps so will keep using them and hope long term I see some more significant results!
Collagen has recognised benefits and is not part of the alternative medicine culture. It’s too soon to say if these are helping me and, once the bottle is empty, I will decide whether to continue.
They are easy to swallow and there is only a suspicion of a taste – nothing unpleasant.
Also free-from, which can give confidence to people with allergies (mine is gluten). Not suitable for vegans (or vegetarians who don’t allow fish in their diet).
I’m likely in the minority, but I did find these tablets a little challenging to swallow. This is despite their small size. I sometimes have this issue, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. In terms of flavour and value for money, these were fine, though.

Like many people, I’ve reached the age where random aches and pains seem to be the norm, and I’m looking for something that could help, as I’m tired of it. Marine collagen has been recommended by some friends of mine who swear by it, so I’ve decided to give these a go. These are a reasonable size tablet, to be taken three times a day as a food supplement, but there’s no guidance as to when they’re supposed to be taken or what with. I like the fact that they’re manufactured in the UK and seem to be good value compared to other products of a similar nature. It’s too soon to say if these will really make a difference, but I will update this review once I know either way.

Rather than capsules you get tablets here and need to take 3 per day. There are 120 tablets so you get 40 days worth of supplement and this seems a bit odd because it’s more than a month but not a full two months either. The tablets are fairly small so they’re easy to swallow. Slight fishy taste but nothing too intense (and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like fish that tastes fishy – you’ll be fine).
Comes with a nice safety seal to keep things fresh but no silica pod to reduce moisture inside note that it’s open. I think these are fine. Collagen is great for skin and joints so if you’re looking for extra support or make to improve your skin complexion I’d recommend giving some collagen supplements a try.

There is no official RDA for collagen and a search for information is contradictory as to the amount that is required. At 500mg these tablets are deemed to be on the low side of active ingredients but then others sources claim this dose is fine! So I am not sure the claim Super Strength is totally valid!
They arrived with a good best-before date that was well over 2 years on the pack we received. They do represent good value for money, particularly in comparison to a well-known high street vendor of vitamins and food supplements.
Might be a strange point but people had commented that collagen derived from fish had a distinct fishy smell. These tables are completely odour-free. They are small enough to swallow easily and torpedo-shaped to aid swallowing.
Pedantic point. The product page shows the bottle as it arrived, the written screed talks of a bubble pack! Would be better if the blurb matched with the photo, as this indicates some sloppiness. Though this company doesn’t make any bogus green-wash claims, which for me is refreshing. Plus the rest of the packaging is easy to read and understand.
There are many long-term benefits claimed from taking collagen so I will do an edit in a month’s time to confirm if any of these, or others are noticeable.

I take marine collagen because I don’t eat meat. Not a vegetarian as such I just don’t like the taste of meat or many varieties of fish so I need a suppliment.
Marine collagen suits me well, it helps suppliment the nutrients I don’t get enough of from my diet and these super strength tablets seem to be good at doing that.
You get 120 tablets in a bottle and it advises 3 tablets a day which gives you 40 days worth.
I personally take 2 a day as I do have some fish in my diet occasionally and these are super strength.
That’s good value. I have spent more for less for other brands.
The tabs are not as large as capsules and easy to swallow and digest. I take them with food so they have something to work with.
