We have an Apple pen and this one and the only difference we have found is that the Apple is better for drawing as it responds to pressure for making wider lines. Other wise this is great for school iPad use.
This pen works great on my iPad Pro. It does everything I need it to for a fraction of the cost of the Apple Pencil. I’m not a graphic designer of copious note taker so this is all I need !
Needed a new one as a lot of the other one use a weird charging cable that I had lost. Love that this one uses USB c to charge and feels really nice to hold. Like that it’s not shiny so not slippy and had a ridge in to make it more comfortable to hold
Originally had an Apple Pencil when someone dropped it in a cup of tea. I decided on a new pencil as my old one stopped working. Read the reviews on this pencil. It seems lighter and moves so smoothy. Would highly recommend.
Item no longer works after a few uses. Amazon won’t take the return you are just directed to the manufacturer website to troubleshoot. Money wasted I won’t get back
Update – refund issued quickly by seller good customer services.
I really like the pen and how easy it is to use. However, can someone please help me? I bought a case for my iPad and it opens on the left side like a book but the pen only wants to attract magnetically flush on that side and not the open side to the right of the iPad as you are looking at it. Is there something wrong? Thanks. I’d give it five stars if I could work out what’s wrong. Changing the direction of the pen doesn’t make a difference either.
Used with a paper like screen saver (eg MOBIK) it works just as well as the original and ridiculously priced version. But what is best about it is that it does not try to take over. With the Apple Pencil , when you use it in a browser, scribble or not, it shrinks the keyboard – most annoying. Then the browser remembers this and the small keyboard remains even if you try to expand it. The Metapen has no such problem. It supports scribble and has palm rejection and does not try to guess which keyboard you want. It also comes with 2 spare nibs which will wear down quicker with paper like screensavers. It attaches to the iPad (USB C versions). If you lose it its only 20 not 139!
UPDATED:
The seller reached out to me, saying that the pen probably had a switch fault and they offered to send me a new pen. Elaborating on my previous review, I wanted to be more precise. The pen is made of really good materials; it feels sturdy and well-built. It works and connects to the iPad straight out of the box, and using it is a pleasure. The weight and precision are perfect. When it was working, the pen had zero lag, and again, it was a pleasure to use. Shout out to the seller for being very prompt in addressing my issue, which I think is a big positive point. Five stars for the pen itself and for the seller!
