Bought size 3 version for 8 year old, very impressed, step up in quality from the Mitre Impel training ball that we have, worth the bit extra it costs. Nice weight to it, slightly cushioned due to new design but dribbles nice and flies true

This is a quality kids ball that my 5 year old is super proud to own. He finds the adult ones too heavy but has wanted to have a proper ball like his dad and like he has at football practice. This is a good size for kids, about 2/3rds the size of a standard adults one, and is really well made. It’s been outside in all weathers since we got it a month ago and hasn’t deflated or fallen apart. It got a bit dirty but a quick hose off and all the patches are good as new.
As an fyi though you will need your own ball pump as it doesn’t include one

Mitre has been around for as long as I have so they can be trusted to provide a good quality football like this particular ball. Easy to inflate and a reasonable size, I would definitely recommend this football as it’s good value at its current price of around 13.

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.

I don’t have a lot of experience with purchasing footballs, so I didn’t really know what to expect with the size ‘3’ that I was given. Happily, it turns out, this one was the correct size for my 8-year old.

The quality is excellent – it’s a strong, sturdy ball with a thickly-padded outer layer. You have to inflate it yourself, as it arrives flat (and there is no pump included), but it does hold air well, once that has been done. I was able to use a simple plastic pump with a needle, for the job.

My child has enjoyed kicking and throwing the ball, and we have found that it can travel some distance. I would obviously recommend playing with it in a suitable area, as it is quite a hard ball (to prevent accidents or damage to property).

Overall, a little pricey, but a great item.

This is a good quality football and it’s easy to inflate. Pump not included so you will need to buy separately and feels like it will last for a while.

I ordered this mitre size 3 (for age U7 to U10) football for our grandchildren to kick in the park or train on the astroturf, as it is suitable for both.

It is a really well made ball and the quality is what you would expect from the reputable Mitre brand. The rubber feels quite thick with soft padding and the stitching looks very strong. The six panels configuration is meant to increase its longevity compared with less but time will tell. It is made using the innovative Hyperseam TM technology, with glued and stitched seams to reduce water absorption and provide consistent play at all times under any weather conditions.

The design and pattern with red and black on white is colourful. It is also available in fluo yellow.
The ball arrived partially inflated so had to be pumped up – note: the pump is not included. I inflated it using an electric tire inflator which is also suitable for inflating balls. Using one of these works perfectly well or a training/floor pump if you are buying in quantity. Otherwise any pump will do with a well lubricated ball adapter.

At 17.00 at the time of writing this review, it is fairly pricey but good quality.

This is good for practicing ball control either to hone your skill or to introduce the concept to a smaller child where a full size ball might be too big. Easy to inflate and bright coloured to help visibility. Dog likes to chase it too and at this size can get a good grip in his mouth so might not be too long before its popped.

This ball is a great addition to our household especially for garden training exercises for my younger sons. Being a size 3, it’s a perfect fit for getting them up to speed with training drills and ball control, alongside shooting drills. Whats especially nice about this ball, other than its bright winter outdoor colour, is there are thick padding contours on the ball so great for improving touch and control and even teaching the basics of headers without feeling too hard. Obviously like any ball it doesn’t come pumped up and doesn’t come with the adapter needle to pump it so you’ll need to make sure you have one of them separately (but that’s the same for just about any ball purchased online).

5.0 out of 5 stars Great kids ball

I am trying the Mitre size 3 ball. This is a great practise size ball and great to take to the park with the children.
It doesn’t come with a pump or needle, luckily I had one I had bought earlier.
I cannot pick it up with one hand it’s not grippy but is firm and s ems well made.

I got this Mitre Impel Evo football for my son, who’s just started getting into playing football casually with his friends. Since he’s not part of any school or club team yet, it’s all about having fun for him at this stage.

What stood out about this ball is its soft touch foam, which gives it a slightly softer feel compared to other balls we’ve tried before. It came partially inflated, so we used a foot pump to get it to the right pressure, which was pretty straightforward.

In terms of appearance, the red and white colour combination is quite nice, although my son mentioned he’d prefer a different colour over white if he had the choice. Nonetheless, for 13, the price seems fair considering the quality of the ball.

Overall, it’s been a good football choice for our casual backyard games.
