He has so many Raspberry Pi’s, and this is a great new addition to his set of cases. Fan works great, nice fittings, and fits great around the new model of Pi.
I am absolutely thrilled with my Miuzei metal case for my Raspberry Pi 5! The sleek aluminum design not only looks fantastic but also provides excellent passive cooling for my Raspberry Pi 5. The included fan ensures optimal temperature regulation, keeping my Pi running smoothly even during intensive tasks. Installation was a breeze, and the case offers convenient access to ports. It’s a must-have accessory for any Raspberry Pi enthusiast. Quality construction, efficient cooling, and stylish aesthetics make this case a standout choice. Highly recommended
like I say in the title this isn’t a case in the traditional sense it’s a piece over the top and another piece underneath it which sandwich the pie board. Its cool looking and functional, in that even if the fan failed, the heat sink on top is so massive it’d probably be fine. Which is just as well because my worry is for stuff getting into the fan which is exposed on the top, or into the board, my pi runs plex so it’s running 24/7 and lives under the tv unit, it’s running on a pi4 for I’m upgrading with this and a pi 5 to a faster system, but I’m going to be more careful with it, and perhaps put it in a small box just to protect it from dust and things getting into the fan.
This heatsink does a decent job if you’re looking for that rather than a protective case. It makes use of the new RPi fan power connector and as a minimalist heatsink it does a great job. The fan is small and quiet but doesn’t have good provision for the cable that attaches it to the Pi, so straggles across the top as there is no channel wide enough for it and no clearance behind the USB sockets for it.
The kit also comes with two GPIO extenders to allow use of hats. The heatsink comes with two sets of pads to improve connection to the chips that get hot. There’s even a small allen key for tigheting the bolts that hold the case together and the screws that attach the fan. There’s no real edge protection – the ethernet and USB sockets are actually outside the case top – and the GPIO pins are also exposed, so this is not useful if you are looking for a protective case.
Overall it is well made and well designed (modulo the fan wire) and I would recommend it if your application is going to generate heat and you aren’t worried about knocks and bumps.
Simple to install, just 4 screws for the main body and another 4 for the fan and you are done.
It really couldn’t be any more simple to construct.
The case comes with thermal pads and an easy to follow guide on where to place them.
These pads ensure the whole case acts as a heatsink and as it does get fairly warm, it obviously works!
Super value little case that does all you want and looks sleek too.

This case is really well engineered. It’s a simple design that’s effective and fast to fit to the device. The heatsink is a smooth finish without sharp edges and feels solid and robust. It also comes with two sets of GPIO risers to bring the pins to the top of the case. Excellent nicely engineered case.
This kit includes all the metalwork, screws, fan and thermal pads you need to turn your Raspberry Pi 5 into what looks and feels like a futuristic space ship component!
It’s basically a Pi sandwich maker. You get 2 aluminium panels which screw together encasing the Pi board between them. The fan slots into an opening and plugs into the Pi fan control connector. It all fits together perfectly and feels like a solid unit when assembled.
The fan works under the Pi’s control and is almost silent most of the time. Even at the highest speed it’s not intrusive.
Very smart alternative to a Pi case.
The Miuzei Metal Case for Raspberry Pi 5, Pi 5 Case with Fan Pi Case Aluminium with Passive Cooling arrives neatly packaged down and well presented inside the box.
This is the perfect solution for your Raspberry Pi. Everything is well designed, no ports are blocked, and everything is easy to get to and accessable.
The overall build quality is superb! And the CNC machining is excellent!
Everything is easily accessible, including GPIO ports, and the whole case acts like a heat sink.
What I did find a little weird about this case is that the fan itself has no thermal cut-out in the casing.
So effectively, the casing sits on the thermal pads, drawing heat to the top and making the metal hot.
And the fan is supposed to draw the heat away from the metal casing.
Time will tell how effective this case design is for thermal heat dissipation and thermal throttling. I’m yet to receive my Raspberry Pi, so I will update this review in the future.
Overal, I am happy with the build quality and the case design.
This is a case for the raspberry pi 5, it’s somewhat different from most in that it’s not an all encompassing case, just covering the actual board and also leaving the USB and ethernet ports free. This should aid, along with it’s aluminium construction, in better heat dissipation than an all enclosed unit, if you can live without the aesthetics.
Item arrives in branded box, contains the aluminium case in two parts, fan, heatsinks, female headers, screws and instruction booklet.
The case is well manufactured of aluminium, it fits perfectly over the pi 5 board and the fan is fitted flush within the top of the case, easy access is supplied to power, USB, HDMI and ethernet ports.
Simple to put together with the screws and instructions provided, the fan and case do a slightly better job of cooling the board and dispersing the heat, recommended if you don’t require the aesthetics of an all encompassing case.
