bought this to put on the end of a standing desk. Looks good, is solid and sturdy hold. I put quite a few things in the slots (pens, notebook, etc; not laptop, tablet). Would recommend.
I am very happy with this product, I can hide my laptop whilst working from home, that gives me plenty of desk space to make notes. When I am not working, I will be able to fit my personal laptop and stream games or record gameplay with ample space. I am in the process of reorganising my desk with a more spacious setup.
Works well for work laptop. Keeps it off the desk and securely fastens to the side of the desk. Have to have a lip on the desk otherwise it won’t work. Once in place it doesn’t move. Sturdy design.
We mainly got this monitor stand for the good height range it offered, but having all the additional features and compartments makes it a great addition to our desk. The construction is robust and strong and it is easy to build if you follow the instructions closely – don’t try it without. The tray underneath is a really useful size and helpful that you can see inside it. Even with the tray in place, you can still have more space underneath for storage. The side pockets are well made and hold all the little bits and pieces that often clutter our desk. The two little arms that swing out for our mobile and easy access pens, seem strong and hopefully can take some knocks as they do stick out. The whole thing is quite lightweight and easily supports our large monitor. A great addition to our home office, very happy.
Exactly what I was looking for to have a laptop cleared from the desktop.
I’d originally considered a vertical laptop stand to sit on the desk itself as the laptop is connected up to 2 monitors, external keyboard and mouse etc and remains closed whilst in use the majority of the time.
This is an even better solution if you have space at the side of the desk. Laptop sits in the holder, clearing space on the desk and is very easy to drop in or remove.
I currently have my MacBook on a laptop stand which connects to an external monitor. I generally have the laptop closed when using it, but the stand with the laptop on top takes up precious space on my desk. Although there are various laptop mounting solutions available, such as the upright laptop holder, I liked the look of this desk side organiser by Edencomer, as it attaches to the side of the desk, leaving more space on the desk itself and keeping the laptop out of sight if need be.
The organiser is made from steel, so naturally, it’s incredibly sturdy and strong. It has pads on the base and sides to prevent any scratches or damage to a laptop. There are slots to help with heat dissipation on both sides, the clamps are easy to screw into place and offer a wide gap to clamp over thick worktops and the accompanying side compartment attaches to the organiser with magnets. Also, it’s not limited to laptop use, but you can also store files and folders which makes the organiser extremely versatile.
I now have my laptop slotted upright on the stand to the side of my desk and have my external hard drive and some pens in the magnetic holder which has worked great for me. Plus when removing my laptop, I just have to discount the 2 cables and can pull the laptop out effortlessly. The only thing I perhaps didn’t like was some of the design choices, especially with the wavy vent slots and I would have preferred a slightly wider magnetic compartment, but other than that, a good solid product.
This desk side organiser is a great addition to my table for storing IT equipment temporarily yet keeping them easily accessible when working from home.
Being a different design to the rear under desk basket, this organiser allows me to keep my laptop and other equipment to the side rather than cluttering the table top. Also, as it is made of metal with ventilation slots, it allows sufficient cooling.
There are strategically placed felt and rubber pads to prevent damage to furniture as well as stored equipment. The included pen holder with integrated magnet is a nice touch.
When not used for keeping my IT stuff, it is useful for keeping magazines, draft notes etc.
This is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking for a minimalist storage solution.
