NEEWER 2400mAh DMW-BLK22 Replacement Camera Battery for Panasonic Lumix S5IIX S5II S5 GH6 DC-G9 II GH5M2,2.8 Hrs Safe 100% Full Battery Charge with USB Type C Cable
Works fine with my Z8. Lasts for 6-8 hours a day. Have used it for a week now.
1. Value for money: 3-4 stars. Depends if you can buy it with an offer (4 star for offer and 3 if you pay full amount). Bought this one for 34. The other spare battery I bought was from small rig and cost me 30.75 (under offer).
2. Durability: No comments….will update in 6 months.
3. Battery back up: Haven’t compared with the OEM or the Small Rig….but almost the same as the small rig.
Worked fine with the R5. Appears to be fully compatible. Lasts similar to Canon original in use. Will have to wait and see if long term performance is maintained. Charges OK in original charger as well as by usb.
Rated capacity is slightly higher than the OEM battery and I have no reason to doubt that. This Neewer battery is accepted by my X-T4 without any apparent issues, unlike some major camera manufacturers who make non-riginal batteries a problem. Lasts very well and the icing on the cake is the built-in charging port which is such a good idea. I may well get more but I’ll see how this one does long-term first.
These batteries are a genuine revelation for me. I can save critical volume in my rucksack by not having to carry a USB charger along with my power bank any more by using these batteries now as backups to the official one. Whether I use this with my R7 or 7D II, I’m delighted. The battery life is comparable between this and the official E6NH in the R7 or the E6N in the 7D II but being able to charge Neewer’s solution with only a power bank and USB-C cable puts this well above Canon’s batteries at less than half the price.
Unless you have a strict loyal devotion to official products, I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending you try this battery if you’re looking for a spare or a replacement.
Good value for money compared with the Canon battery. I have tried cheaper batteries but was very disappointed, the units failed within a year. This unit holds the charge which is positive but need to see how it performs over the yea
I can not comment on it’s capacity yet but am surprised to find it can also be charged in the camera like a Canon LP-E6NH; something other third party batteries cannot do. (This answers my question as posted a few weeks ago.)
At a fraction of the price of a Canon battery these are a good buy. There seems to be little difference in the number of photos which can be taken before needing to be recharged. Haven’t had it long enough to be able to comment on battery life
I haven’t yet recycled the charge on these and ahve only charged them once. However, they appear to last as long as the Canon OEM version, if not longer and feel confident they will do the job well. Another great third party product from NEEWER!
This is a great replacement battery for certain Canon cameras in my opinion. It’s not only cheaper than the originals, but also much easier to charge! You can charge this via USB-C which makes it very easy to charge! Even if you’re on the go, you can simply charge it using a powerbank and get right back to filming.
Overall, I think this is a great camera battery and would recommend it!
when i brought the R6 I brought one of these to be the backup for the LP-E6NH. after having it for a few weeks I’ve found the battery life to be around the same. it might be better or worse but I’ve not tested the battery life directly. Overall I am happy with the performance.
My daily walkabout setup is a R6 + RF 28-70 lens and the battery can run the camera just run with the full burst speeds (20fps ish etc etc), something the LP-E6 and LP-E6N cant do. I have a few of the LP-E6 batteries from earlier cameras.
a few weeks back I out hiking when I run out of charge on this battery and the original. so having a USB-C to USB-C cable at hand I plugged the battery into my phone (Samsung s22) and was able to charge it enough so that I could still use the camera on the hike. This is a massive bonus. Yes i know you can get USB chargers for the LP-E6 batteries but its something else to carry and deal with.
however, its driving me crazy having to charge the origin LP-E6NH. Having to keep a charger etc etc is just bonkers when you can put a USB-C connection on the battery directly. So today I brought a second one of these batteries.
I have been using this on the Canon EOS 7D & 90D for over seven weeks now I was not sure about the light brown colour at first but has grown on me and helps me easily tell this apart from my other batteries when in my bag.
The quality of the battery is excellent I have been using this for a while now and I have experienced no issues with the battery charging or it loosing its charge overtime. The fact it can be charged with a USB-C cable is amazing when I go out I use this battery first then when dead use a second battery and I can then just connect this to a battery pack and charge up the battery and it is good to go, no need to carry around the battery charger hoping you will find a plug socket you can use to charge it when out and about.
Overall I am very happy with this battery and will be buying another one, all camera batteries should have the ability to connect a USB cable into it directly to charge. I would definitely recommend this and I have done to a few of my friends.
NEEWER is a trustworthy battery for my camera. I can trust NEEWER’s batteries because they are known for their quality and reliability. I have never had a problem with the batteries from NEEWER, and I know that they will give me the best possible performance. I love that these batteries are universally compatible with all my camera models, which also means that they are easy to maintain and operate.
This is a must-have for any photographer. It’s affordable, easy to use, and convenient. I can charge my camera battery without the hassle of cords, which is especially helpful when I am on the go. This is a great tool for professionals and amateurs alike.
This is a great battery pack for those photographers who want to take their DSLRs with them when they are on the run. This battery pack is super lightweight and is compatible with the newest Canon DSLRs which is impressive. The battery pack is also a great value for the price and will last for a very long time. I have found this battery pack to be a great addition to my camera bag.
This LP-E6 compatible rechargeable battery comes in a plain looking, Neewer branded cardboard box. Inside the box is the battery, a USB cable, and a Neewer customer services leaflet.
The battery itself is well made and, as you would expect, the same shape as the LP-E6 battery. However the colour is different, which makes it easy to spot, and it has a textured coating, which is easier to grip. There is also a small LED status indicator light on one side, next to a USB Type-C charging port.
The USB charging cable has a USB Type-C connector at one end and a USB Type-A connector the other. It has a fabric cable tie attached to help keep it wound up, which is a nice touch. No USB adapter is included, so you will need to provide your own USB power source.
In use the battery worked well in the Canon cameras I tested it with. The cameras recognised it without any issues, and performance was comparable to the original batteries.
In conclusion, this is a well made rechargeable battery that performs as expected. The convenience of being able to charge the battery directly via a USB cable is a big bonus, especially with most homes, hotels and venues likely to have a USB power source available, should you forget to bring one with you.
~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~
This NEEWER battery pack is such a great addition to anyone who has long projects where one battery won’t last, so much better than buying the branded battery pack, I’ve always felt that they are way overpriced and basically just paying for the name.
It fits my Canon camera, the Canon charger and works perfectly. The battery lasts longer than my Canon one, but that is to be expected when comparing a 6 year old battery to a brand new one, the only problem would be if it lasted the same or less, which it didn’t.
I was looking forward to the USB-C charging option, however, when the battery was almost empty I wanted to charge it a bit between takes but charging it via USB did not seem to give it any juice at all for the 30 or so minutes it was charging, it was still flashing red, so using the Canon charger and getting more power from an outlet at the wall is still the better option.
For a Canon camera this is a great battery and charger.
It’s very good quality and easy to recharge.
Imagine being outside and needing more battery life, then you have a battery that can be charged on the spot with a USB cable and a powerbank.
This is an amazing product that I can gladly recommend.
What I like most about this battery is that I can charge it ‘on the go’ using a power bank and that’s incredibly valuable for someone like me, who shoots sports photography. I am constantly running out of batteries between days as I do multiple events throughout a weekend. I’ve been known to ask permit from the clubs to use their sockets for charging my batteries and although they’re often fine with it, it’s starting to feel a little awkward to ask due to the rising energy costs. I’ve spent ‘s on some batteries so I think this is a great price for such a powerful and versatile battery. I will actually purchase a couple to keep in my equipment bag.
I am very happy with the performance of this NEEWER LP-E6NH LP-E6N LP-E6 Replacement Battery. It fits the battery slot in my camera and the trays in my camera grips with no issues. It comes supplied with a plastic guard to prevent the contacts being damaged or short circuited when not in use and a USB-C charging lead. And that’s where it really differs from the original manufacturer’s battery as it can be charged from power banks, PC or wall adaptor using the supplied cable.
Capacity wise it lasts longer than my other LP-E6N batteries and while using it in either my 5DMK4 or 7DMK2 bodies it performs equally well in both with access through the camera’s menu or LCD display to establish the remaining charge level. Having cycled the battery several times now it has performed flawlessly while shooting both video and stills.
In summary I consider this to be a reasonably priced replacement battery which has a number of charging options which fits and functions very well in either of my cameras. Recommended.
This Neewer rechargeable battery for the camera is an equally powerful alternative choice for LP-E6NH LP-E6N LP-E6.
The rechargeable battery for the camera uses a USB Type C charging interface. It comes with a 2250mAh battery capacity and is designed with charging indicators which display charging progress. This rechargeable camera battery is compatible with Canon EOS R5 EOS R6 EOS R7 EOS R 5D II III IV 6D 6D II 7D 7D II 60D 70D 80D 90D.
It’s not my first time receiving a product from Neewer. I am quite a fan of their products, as they sell good stuff only. This rechargeable battery for the camera is one of them, and I am liking this one so far. The quality is just as good as those original batteries and functioned just as great. Its material is quite good and it’s nicely made.
With all things considered, I would say that Neewer, again, does not let me down. The battery is highly recommended.
I used this on a recent shoot and it does work well, with extended battery life. My only complaint is that when using it the camera cannot read how much power is left so I have to carry a second battery as a backup, fortunately I didnt need it during a full day shooting and I got well over 500 images without any issues.
The Neewer Rechargeable Camera Battery with USB Type C Charging Cable stands out in my camera bag in a couple of ways. Its brown colour stands out in a world of black plastic batteries. Also, that it has a USB-C socket on the upper surface of the battery.
It works with a low or high-power battery charger as well as a powerbank if you are away from a wall socket. High power USB doesn’t speed up the charging of the battery. When connected a red led tells you, its charging. When its full the lead goes green. Besides the USB-C socket you can also charge the battery in a standard wall charger.
The battery fits fine in my Eos R5 and delivers enough power to let me use the high energy 4k and 8k video recording modes. It recorded about 33 minutes of 8k footage before the camera powered down; this is about 8-9 minutes less than the canon original battery.
The flexibility of charging makes a big difference; the battery might not last as long as canons but the ability to charge it back up from a powerbank makes it a good choice for your camera bag.
This is a review of the Neewer LP-E6NH LP-E6N LP-E6 Rechargeable Camera Battery. It comes in basic cardboard box together with a charging lead with USB Type C cable. I use this in my Canon 7D model SLR and apart from this being rated at 2500mAh where upon my maker supplied is rated at 1800mAh, they look physically the same. However where this Neewer battery differs is it would appear to have its own built-in charging facility as instead of placing in its designated charger dock as supplied with the camera, as you merely plug the supplied lead into in and hey presto, it charges up. There is a small red LED that gives charging status – see photos. So far, the battery power is going well as one would expect from a replacement battery but with the novelty being it has its own charger built-in and saves a lot of messing about, more so if ‘out and about’. If this is the future of batteries with their own ‘onboard’ charger, it’s not a bad thing plus being able to charge it up while driving via the cigar lighter/auxiliary socket is joy. Recommended.
This battery is fantastic. It fits my canon 6d mk2 camera perfectly and has a good life span when charged.
The battery comes with a usb c charging cable meaning it is perfect for on the go as you don’t need to rely on a mains power supply or your bulky battery charger to recharge. You simply plug it in to your usb c cable which as long as it has a power input from a mains, power bank, etc you are able to charge it.
The battery also has a little indication light to let you know when it’s fully charged.
This battery is a brilliant addition to any canon users kit and I recommend it.
This came with the necessary USB type C cable which plugs directly into the battery which is helpful as it means i can charge directly from a portable battery bank or my car charger without having to carry a separate charger. It was fully charged within an hour and was a perfect fit for my Canon 5D mark 4.
Great value for money when you consider the price of a genuine Canon battery and as an added bonus it has a higher capacity.
I use a Canon 5D mk2 as my back up camera and I’ve burnt through a few batteries over the years..
The genuine LP-E6 battery is 1800mAh and this battery from Neeweer comes in at 2500mAh so should give me longer shooting life per charge.
One of the handiest features of this battery is the ability to charge it sans the standard charging dock. I invariably misplace mine or don’t remember to bring it with me if I’m out and about, so being able to charge the battery directly via the USB-C cable is a really nice addition. It does, however, fit nicely into my genuine charging dock 🙂
It sits perfectly inside the battery port of the camera – I’ve had sizing issues with some off brand batteries before with both Canon and Nikons, but this one is spot on.
You’re getting a really nice battery for around 25.50, at the time of writing, and that’s a great price.
This is a good battery in its own right with decent battery life, it lasts just as long as the OEM batteries and is also fully compatible so does show battery life on the camera still, the best feature is the USB charging as I can charge this in my car or even from a power bank out in the field so a total game changer for me, worth it for that feature alone if you shoot outdoors a lot.
